This is how much pitaya they put in my bowl. Ridiculous.

The serving size is super small and it is definitely Not worth the price you pay for it. Get a pitaya bowl elsewhere.

Very simple decor, straightforward and courteous service, and healthy and delicious drinks. Perhaps a couple high chairs and tables inside and/or outside would be a nice addition. This is exactly what the community needs.

Amazing, one of the best smoothies I have ever tried and taste. Avocaglow wow and also the letter J. Recommend it to anyone who wants to refresh their body, the lady who took my order was so friendly and professional. even tho it's far from where I lived, I don't mind going back just to try something new and I know the experience is going to be fantastic too as the first one.

The food is AMAZING. Açaí bowls are so filling and full of great nutrients. The worker gave us several free samples and helped us find a good combination of juices and food. Would totally recommend.

Great smoothie place! So many options! Fresh fruits. There are street parking options or you could take public transportation. Prices and quantity is decent. Same as you pay at a smoothie bar anywhere else in Boston. The ingredients were super fresh and the store is clean. Definitely coming here again. Also it's a small black owned business, support!

We didn't get anything but juice. However, this lil black owned spot has some delectable looking delicenses that I did not try. The juices that are offered and vast in combination and type. The Jack of all fruit and the tropical bliss smoothies are exceptional. Be sure to grab another juice to save for later. Don't let the plainness of my photo fool you as flavor profiles outdo the simple appearance.

Black owned and smack in the city. A good place to get your Daily smoothies and açaí bowls. I have always admired this quiet little joint of a place on blue and I went in to get a smoothies and the experience was lovely, they took my order and I waited for my smoothie. The place is a little cluttered but it works there are fruits to sell in the front and a little display. My smoothie was delicious and will definitely go back for more.

These smoothies are out of this world amazing!! Full of natural fruits and juices so you KNOW what you're paying for! My favorite is definitely the "Peach me Im Dreaming" smoothie so so sweet and the perfect thick consistency! Plus They're super nice and attentive in there I'm so glad they decided to open a juice bar closer to home!!

We also had a dish of olives wihich were served with almonds marinaded in a spicy sauce. The service was outstanding. The waitress mentioned to me about the oyster special so I could order before six o'clock. Sh was on her toes. I had the seared tuna on a bed of rice. It was on the smaller side but filling. I visited this past weekend with my partner and sister for a birthday. Reservations were easy to get -- try OpenTable! The restaurant was very warm and welcoming, my first impression was "cozy". The service was really good, our server was super helpful in explaining the menu and pointing out the specials for the evening. To start, we got the olives and the cucumber salad. Both were really well done, the seasoning on the peanuts that came with the olives was amazing. Perfect amount of appetizer for three people. I ordered the steak frites, and my fellow diners got the Cod and the Gorditas. The steak frites were super flavorful, but the highlight of the dish was the fries. Coupled with the aioli, the fries were a huge hit at our table (you have to order them!). The cod was also really well done, when I come back I will definitely order the cod. We grabbed the butterscotch pudding and chocolate cake for dessert. The cake was super moist and the perfect consistency. Two desserts was perfect for three people. If you live in JP, you NEED to come to Vee Vee. Perfect for a special occasion!

My boyfriend loved his corn beef hash- looks small but very filling, rich and flavorful but wish it had more eggs. I didn't love the crostata. I heavily appreciated that the "greens" actually had other vegetables added to them to make it interesting and the potatoes were too crispy for me but that's personal preference. The crostata was good size and I loved the crust, I was just disappointed that it advertised goat cheese and I couldn't taste any. After eating we went inside to look at their pastry selection and they are absolutely beautiful!! We got the cream puff (gigantic and delicious), Nutella croissant (10/10 should get), and the butter cookie which was delicious but wish it was denser. The service truly blew me away and for that we Weill definitely be back to try more things.

** Salmon Tacos + Limonada**…read more These salmon tacos were outstanding. The salmon itself was cooked perfectly -- juicy and flaky, not dry at all. I was a little worried going in since the description mentioned it was fried, but there wasn't a trace of oiliness. Each taco was topped with a bright pickled red cabbage and a secret sauce that was applied with a light hand -- just enough for flavor without drowning the taco. On the side, a cup of black beans rounded out the plate perfectly. The limonada was refreshing and the perfect pairing for the meal. Beyond the food, the restaurant itself has such a great energy -- simple, colorful, and unpretentious. It genuinely took me back to little spots in Mexico before things got so commercialized. The prices were reasonable for the quality you get, and the whole experience left me already planning my next visit. Honestly can't believe it took me over 10 years to finally eat here. Don't make my mistake -- go now!

Very well balanced - I especially liked the stracciatella. Taleggio Capeletti (7/10): A bit too rich and too salty for my tastes. I think this dish just needed something to cut through the richness. Still really good nonetheless. Lumache (8/10): The chew on the pasta is impeccable!! The chew on those mushrooms is also insane. Texture-wise, this dish was a home run. For some reason, I kept getting hints of something resembling boar taint in the sauce flavor itself. Not sure why... I don't think there was meat? I feel like I would've given this dish a 10/10 had it not been for the hint of that flavor. Service was very friendly and fast. The restaurant is small, but the seating didn't feel too tight. Even though I gave it a 5/5, I actually don't know if I would come again. The pasta was very steeply priced for not that much food. Tonight, I added Momo Masala to that list. I was also fortunate to have friends who live nearby, and when I mentioned to them I was going (hopefully to invite them), they said it was one of their regular places for take-out. But they also informed me that they did not have a liquor license. But that recently changed!! They now offer beer, wine, cocktails, and whiskey pours - none of these are huge amounts, but there are certainly enough options for any of these. Our group of 4 did sample several cocktails. They aren't super fancy (though some drinks do have garnishes or salty/spiced rims), but everything is well crafted. Momos first, if course. They offer several varieties, but if you prefer yours steamed, read the menu carefully, as not all varieties are available steamed. We got vegetable and chicken momos, the chicken ones in a broth. Their medium level of spiciness provided a nice but not overwhelming kick. Our entrees continued the high quality. Their chicken tikka masala has a very dark and rich sauce, and the chicken chunks were tender. The lamb was equally good. The naan here (we got garlic) is very crisp, just the way I like it. This is a popular take-out spot, but there are enough tables to accommodate people who dine in conveniently, with a relaxing ambiance. This is another great add to the wide variety of dining options in Jamaica Plain.
