Just realized I was never even refunded for this purchase. Poor service, I would not recommend this place. Shady ownership as well.

I love a coffee shop that makes their own syrups. Great service and a beautiful case of baked goods. Freshly made in house. We shared some delicious scones and took some cookies home for the family. I love the inside of this vintage building with tin ceilings and old chandeliers. My Matcha and mint latte was so nice.....such a great combination of flavors.

Way understaffed. Glad I got in before the others. Friendly but that's about it. Coffee is mediocre , food ? Uhhh. Not great. Ordered the breakfast wrap. Wrap is synonymous with hand held. What I got was a large cut open crisped pastry wrap filled with powdered eggs and near raw bacon smothered in cheese. Not edible. And plastic utensils could even cut through it.

This coffee shop provides a decent amount of offering for coffee and quick breakfast bites in the morning. I ordered an oat milk latte which tasted too sweet for what I am used to drinking with this type of milk. Would I come here again? Maybe. The place has seating options and could be a place to meet for informational meetings for networking, zero dates and quick business meetings. The service provided by the barista was good and quick.

We came here after a breakfast place we wanted to try was closed. The atmosphere is very relaxing. They have a good amount of seating space and they do offer food but they only had cookies and baked goods when we were there. I ordered a caramel Latte and it came out SO fast! It was also the best latte I have had! So good! The people who waited on us were nice and greeted us when we walked in. I would love to come back and try some food! I highly recommend coming here for coffee though!

Good wifi (both WPA3 and 2G networks) & great coffee! Stopped here while visiting the area to work in-between meetings; it's the best coffee shop to do that in downtown Syracuse. They've got some basic breakfast items, service was fast, and the ambiance is casual with little nooks for 1-2 people parties to hang out.

Messed up my order but staff fixed without a problem! Good environment - got a matcha latte and it was yummy (little on the sweet side tho).

Would definitely recommend: got a hazelnut latte as well as the vegan wrap, and both of them exceeded my expectations in flavor and just a fresh delicious taste The location is great and the facility has a very unique and nice vibe just to hang out and enjoy.

Stopped in one morning for a quick breakfast with my husband. He had two breakfast sandwiches and a coffee while I just had a piece of banana chocolate bread. We all enjoyed our food although my husband described his sandwiches as nothing special. The stop was more about convenience. The employees provided good service.

Cafe Kubal is an excellent spot to get work done. I spent a productive day studying with two friends in Kubal's relaxed environment. Not a food spot, but it had good coffee and offered lactose-free alternatives. The wifi was a bit slow, but I recommend it.

(Visit Date: February 2022) It was our first time visiting. Coffee was good and food was also really good. If you order coffee+sandwiches+soup, you might feel a little pricey, but it's worth to try.

I came here after lunch time on a Thursday. I order the peach blossom tea but got recommended the peach lavender tea instead. Very nice staff. But OMG! The tea was soo good! The internet seem not to be working at the time so I left earlier than expected

Overall, I enjoyed my visit. The vibe was relaxed and low-key, making it a good place to sit down and get some work done. I spent some time working while I was there and appreciated having a space where I could focus without feeling rushed. The staff was pleasant, and one of the employees was kind enough to take a picture for me when I asked, which I appreciated. The only thing that stood out to me was that there wasn't much of a greeting or acknowledgment when I walked in, but it wasn't a huge issue. The seating was okay. The chair I chose wasn't the most comfortable for an extended stay, but it got the job done. There was also some rock music playing during my visit, which helped create a casual atmosphere. I didn't order any coffee or food this time around, so I can't speak to the menu yet. This visit was more about finding a place to work and unwind for a bit. Would I come back? Yes. While I'm still searching for my go-to coffee lounge in Syracuse, Recess is definitely a spot I'd visit again. It has a chill, unpretentious vibe that makes it easy to settle in and spend some time there. I forgot to take more pictures will do when I go back.

After finally visiting, I can honestly say the pictures don't do this place justice. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and somehow elevated at the same time. It felt less like a coffee shop and more like hanging out in a friend's beautifully decorated home. I spent a few hours there editing a YouTube video, and it was exactly the type of environment I've been searching for. Since it was my first visit, I wanted to try a few different things. I ordered the strawberry vanilla matcha, which was surprisingly good. It was a little sweeter than I expected, but the flavor was excellent. I'm not usually a matcha girl, but I'd definitely order it again. Their menu is extensive, with several drink options, flavored matchas, pastries, cheesecakes, and even the viral fruit pastries that I saw several customers purchasing while I was there. One thing that really stood out to me was that they actually offer food. I ordered a jerk beef patty and a jumbo apple fritter, both of which were delicious. They also had other savory options available, including spinach pie and additional patties. As someone who arrived hungry, I appreciated having more substantial options than the typical coffee shop pastry selection. The staff were wonderful. They mentioned that they love welcoming new guests, and it definitely showed. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and patient while I stood there trying to decide what I wanted to order. I never felt rushed, and they were happy to answer questions and make recommendations. The only thing to keep in mind is parking. Since Milano is located in the heart of downtown Syracuse, you'll most likely need to park on the street. If you're visiting before 6 p.m., be prepared to pay for parking. Overall, I had a great experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and the customer service. I'll definitely be back, and Milano has quickly become one of the strongest contenders in my search for the perfect late-night coffee shop.
