Sweet little place. Good healthy food and nice place to mingle or study. I moved away from the area and I miss this place!

I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese and a skinny latte. The sausage was very low quality and tasted like a wet dog. The latte was weak and too sweet (very artificial tasting). My husband's sandwich was also disgusting, the guacamole was clearly old (very brown) and tasted horrible, the bacon on it was most likely microwaved, such low quality bacon and then to microwave it too??!! Cute little cafe in Camillus. A cozy corner away from the busy Genessee st. All the basic coffee and tea options. Toast was vertically yummy but we were left wanting more from our drinks. They use tazo for their chai which is just not my preferred way to drink Chai. Staff was very friendly. read more

I recently visited this adorable little café. It is so cozy and cute inside. They offer a wide variety of different drinks and treats. I got a Teddy graham iced latte, which was amazing. The staff was super helpful and made an amazing drink. They had such a large special drink menu, which was nice to see and it seems like they have a lot of staple beverages as well. When I'm not in a rush I love to stop in local coffee shops(usually I'm going through a drive thru lol), my little ones enjoy trying new things as well. We've stop in randomly throughout the years or after story time at the library(which is down the street). The cafe has a cozy feel, decent amount of seating and a quiet place if you needed to get work done. The staff is always friendly and helpful(I couldn't decide on a drink the last time lol). Rise & Grind is a quaint little cafe nestled into a plaza. Quite unassuming from the outside. Inside is a nice little cafe that has food, drinks, and of course-free wifi. I went at about noon on a Wednesday- it wasn't busy at all. The girl at the counter served me promptly and my food and drink came out fairly quickly. I had a Peach Palmer to drink (definitely would recommend) and a Bacon Egg and Cheese breakfast bagel. The drink was great but the food was not anything special- it sufficed but that's about it. It was just about 9 dollars for the large drink and sandwich-not bad in my opinion. They have many other more "hip" offering such as Açaí bowls and guac creations. I also cannot comment on the coffee as I don't drink it nor know anything about it. I'll be back, 4 stars just because the food wasn't anything to write home about. read more

Needed to pick up coffee on the way to the office and dunkins drive thru line was insane. Google maps picked up rise and grind cafe on the way right before the street i needed to turn on so it was perfect! No big line, very cute cafe very instagram worthy and impressive varied menu that I'll have to come back to and try more of. For this 1st trip I ordered a medium tiramisu latte with almond milk and a donut (pictured). Truthfully i forgot to ask for an iced coffee as originally planned but this latte was perfect. I also have been wanting to see nearest places that have açaí bowls and surprised to see this option on the menu! Will update on that later. Customer service was great, sanitized and setup according to social distancing in mind yet still a great place I'd probably meet clients at, go to read a book, or a quick pick me up breakfast. I am a frequent visitor to Rise and Grind. If you are a connoisseur of coffee , then this place is for you. I enjoy their hot peppermint mocha lattes while my wife prefers a light roast which never disappoints. It's a relaxed atmosphere with nice comfy chairs where you can sit by the fireplace or choose a table while sipping your freshly brewed coffee and enjoying free Wi-Fi. For a full flavored brew try a "pour over" They also have great dessert items and fantastic breakfast sandwiches. The service is always fast and friendly and they really go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy. You should visit Rise and Grind and maybe I'll see you there. read more

Great place to stop for a breakfast sandwich and good coffee. I liked the avocado breakfast BLT- somewhat healthy, with bacon too. You can also get it on gluten-free bread if you have a problem with wheat. Very cozy decor as well, and several other GF options (muffins are really good too). Saturday coffee rise and grind edition. This little café serves kubal coffee in a setting you can't really get from any of the kubal locations I've been to. Kubal always feels like a take it to go type of venue where here I felt welcome to sit, get comfy, and stay a while. I got a cappuccino and a muffin for here. Unfortunately I was given a paper to go cup instead of a mug which took away from the relaxing weekend vibe but it still tasted great. The muffin was pretty tasty but it would have been perfect if it was warmed with some butter. The café itself as I said was spacious and comfortable. It had great lighting and a very glam country feel to it. I took a seat in the comfy chairs with the fireplace at my back. It's the kind of place I'd like to go after work to have a latte and read a book to relax before going home. Except I work too late and this place is not in anyway conveniently located between my home and work. read more

I got a cookies and cream hot chocolate (see pic- they have all kinds of fancy hot chocolate), and they also have matcha tea which I used to drink in a specialty shop in NYC but have never had it in a cafe upstate. So I am going to give this place three stars as it is brand new and I assume still working out kinks. I was so excited there was a place serving cafe Kabul and just donuts so close so Sunday at 8:30 I went to get breakfast for myself and my husband. First they only serve egg white sandwiches which I thought was a little strange and second i ordered them both in English muffins but when I got home mine was on an untoasted whole grain bread. The bread was good but strange for it to be cold and untoasted. Also I kept looking for the donuts and only saw muffins and breads so was disappointed the info I got was wrong. Then while waiting to pick up my sandwiches I heard the staff talk about the amazing donuts so I asked and they said they will be getting their shipment in around noon. Why would you not be getting donuts until noon on a Sunday morning? By then it is lunch. So with that being said the egg sandwich was okay if the bread was toasted and my husband would have preferred a yolk but the coffee and hot chocolate were amazing. Will definitely give them another try in a couple weeks to see if the kinks are all worked out and will update review if needed. read more

Well decided to try something new today. Saw this little spot a couple days ago and today wanted a bite to eat and I hoped there was a decent menu, and while small, there was. First impression was how nice, fireplace, bookshelf filled with current books, coffee smell but not overwhelming and a menu. I ordered my usual coffee shop drink; a Caramel Macchiato, was perfect (I have a sweet palate) and Prosciutto Toast... I was impressed multigrain toast done right, crisp outside, soft chewy inside. The two slices of toast had a layer of cream cheese (toast protection) a folded over slice of prosciutto and covered with pico de gallo. I should have been more civilized and used a knife and fork but in the mouth it went. Toast still hot and crispy, cream melting but creating a barrier from the juice of the pico. The meat coming off as I bit down was my fault for not using the knife and fork. From the first bite to the last it was a delight. Folks should come by and skip the mass marketed coffee shop down the road. They carry three different local roasted coffees and while the menu isn't huge it's unique and tasty. read more

I discovered Rise & Grind Cafe this past fall, and I have yet to be disappointed. The atmosphere in there is so cozy, exactly what a cafe should be like. The staff is super friendly and efficient. They have an extensive drink menu, a handful of bakery treats, and a breakfast menu as well. Their breakfast sandwich on multigrain toast is yummy, but today I tried the guacamole toast. It exceeded my expectations! The guacamole was fresh and creamy, the toast was soft, and it was topped with pico and spinach. It was delicious and I'll definitely be ordering it again. As I was finishing my tea, (they have a great Zen Green tea) I was inspecting the pre-made items. There were salads, sandwiches, fruit, yogurt and granola parfaits, and even edible cookie dough! Next time I visit, I'll be sure to try one of their sweets. read more

I thinks it funny when people complain about a coffee shop not having certain items, such as donuts. I've been to Rise and Grind a handful of times and more often then not they have donuts. Things sell out and deliveries can arrive late. Maybe call before heading in if you really want a donut. Anyway, I like this place. They're always super nice and I like their coffee. Three for coffee, 1 for food. Came to get coffee and breakfast and while the coffee never disappoints, the food does. I had oatmeal that was more like baby food, way over cooked and swimming in maple syrup. My boyfriend ordered an egg sandwich on a plain bagel with sausage and cheddar and got an egg sandwich on an onion bagel with sausage and provolone to which he said he could make one better himself. We've previously had the cinnamon rolls which are really good and the donuts which were disappointing for the hype. I'd stick to only getting coffee here. read more

I slipped and fell on a patch of ice on the sidewalk right in front of this coffee shop as I was on my way in to meet a client for breakfast today. When I finally stood up and made my way in, another customer asked me if I was okay but the barista behind the counter said nothing. Later when I suggested maybe a complimentary cup of coffee would be nice for a customer who had just fallen, he laughed and said, "Yeah, right." My client then arrived (she nearly slipped too). We both ordered oatmeal, which the barista said came with blueberries and maple syrup. When the oatmeal arrived, there was no maple syrup. He just said they had none and offered honey instead. My client gave her oatmeal back and chose something else. Again, no apologies, just an attitude of "it is what it is". The coffee (Kubal) was fine but the table with the cream and sugar only had half and half. No milk or soymilk. While we were sitting and eating, another employee finally went out and spread some rock salt on the spot where I had fallen. All in all, not the greatest experience for either me or my client. I think these folks need to work on their attentiveness to customers and to make sure their statements about the food they sell are accurate. read more
