We were heading to the Centennial park area and looked on Yelp for a quick coffee shop on the way. I'm so glad we found this place. It is a little tricky to find unless you know where it is. We went in and the girl behind the counter was so helpful. She asked us what our usual Starbucks drinks were and based her suggestions from there. My daughter ordered a green tea concoction that was suggested and my daughter gave it two thumbs up. I had the La Vie Rose drink and it was wonderful! My daughter also had a cream cheese danish and I had a breakfast croissant sandwich, both were delicious! We ended up sitting there to enjoy our food before we headed to the park which was perfect. We could people watch through the big windows and enjoy awesome music as we chatted. I also noticed they had books there for you to peruse while you enjoy your drinks or food. This coffee place was great I ordered the cold brew which had me wired. My friend ordered an iced white mocha with blackberry on recommendation by the owner and it was amazing! Their coffee supplier is choice and very high quality. The turkey pesto sandwich was also v. impressive while I ordered the goat cheese hummus flatbread which was also very tasty. I genuinely like coming here because (as an urbanist) it has everything I love. It's walkable, it's in a historic building in downtown, and the hours are more serviceable than most other businesses downtown. Not to mention the cafe itself is super cute and well decorated. The employees are always nice when I come here. The only downside is that the coffee isn't too great . Their breakfast sandwich menu seems to be pretty large, I'm going to try one next time I make the trip downtown. read more

Once found, you'll enjoy the swift service and friendly all around smiles. This cafe is usually occupied by students studying their course work, thus isn't really loud, which is pretty convenient for coffee goers that like to read in peace. The bells and whistles are not there, but the coffee selection is just right. There's no hassle of a large menu, which makes me assume that this is the perfect on-the-go coffee joint. Okay, I love a cute local coffee shop as much as the next person but this place could probably step up their game. Drip coffee is often luke-warm or watery and a little expensive considering its quality. I usually bring my 16 oz mug and ask for 12 oz drink, specifying that I don't want it completely full. Instead of just filling it up partially and charging me for the 12 oz, they almost always fill it up all the way and just charge me for the larger size. Frustrating. The americano is generally good, especially if you're explicit about how much water you want, and the cool berry iced tea is super sweet but kind of delicious on a hot summer day.
