We are visiting from Portland for the weekend and a friend of ours recommended Cafe Magnolia. It was less than 10 minutes from our hotel so we came and met our friend for brunch. The female at the register informed me that you order first, then they hand you a number and you grab your own table. We ordered french toast, Italian pastrami hash and a Dubai chocolate cake. Everything we ordered was amazing. A little pricey, but the food was great. The potatoes that came with the hash dish were so crispy and perfectly cooked. The french toast had such thin bread, something we've never experienced before with French toast, but it was delicious. The ambiance wasn't anything special in my opinion. We sat in like a lobby area of the building they share with another business. They did have outdoor seating but it was a little glooming when we got there so we sat inside. My friend and I just went for desserts and they have sandwiches and salad, too. Quant place set in a professional building. Seating in the foyer and in the restaurant. Small bakery. They have spartic cake which is the local favorite. The spartic cake has a creamy texture and slivers of cake in between the cream. It's has a Graham cracker cheesecake flavor. To die for!! We also had the triple chocolate mouse on cake. White, milk and dark chocolate on chocolate cake. Wow it was flavorful not too sweet, perfect balance. I know some of you purists don't agree that white Chocolate is not chocolate, but you have to try it! They had baklava, cinnamon rolls, questionable if the cannoli is the real cream we are used to and other desserts eg. Tiramisu, cream puffs and rainbow waffle cake. The coffees are mostly expresso based, some variety of teas and hot chocolate with whipped cream. They serve desserts until they run out. The sandwiches and salads look fresh, but can't comment. The service is order at counter, take a Minoans delivered to the table. The entrance is beautiful with a settee and decorated for the season. Try this family owned place if visiting Kennewick.
