It's a pretty cool place attached to the book store but everywhere you look there is rules, no outside drinks, don't move tables, "toilet seat loose be careful" shut the door on the bathroom, don't touch the radio, I couldn't imagine working for this place ! All these notes kill the vibe! The owner could tighten the toilet seat that might be one note taken off a wall...The food is probably a one star, and the drinks are expensive, $7 for an iced drink. read more

This is a great little café with a good vibe. I like it because it is very gamer-nerd friendly (it's linked to the game store), and safe space vibes. The only downside is that I have tried several times to use it as a third space when I just wanted to get out of my office, but sometimes it is closed on days when it says that it would be open, and sometimes the Internet is out. read more

On the weekends, walking into Caterpillar cafe you'll find an open minded, creative group of people often occupying the table for a game of dungeons and dragons or to build their new magic decks. Helpful staff, delicious drinks, and good prices. The tea selection here is the best in the tri-cities and their prices are Uber affordable. Plus, they sell loose leaf at a surprisingly low price AND Tony's chocolonley which is hard to find. If you want a wild drink, try the jabberwocky, which is basically an americano, but with dr.pepper instead of water. read more

Quite honestly, they make the best chicken paninis that I've ever had. They are So delicious!

They have a new drink called the Huckle Chuckle ( Hot chocolate and Huckleberry) and it is TO DIE FOR! I was just stopping by on my way from Las Vegas to Chicago and it was the best drink I've ever had. Temperature was perfect along with the rich, sensational taste of the chocolate. This little gem is a must! The staff are super kind and the food is great. I highly recommend their organic chai! They even have boardgames and fun merch for sale! I bought myself a cute little mushroom mug that I absolutely love. Not to mention the cafe hosts poetry nights and DND on weekdays. Welcome to the newcomer in the Uptown. I was greeted by the scent of freshly ground coffee beans from Caffe Darte and a friendly barista. A great array of scones, muffins and more (from a local bakery, Ethos) made the selection of just one goody a tough choice. Fun company came patrons from the adjoining book/game store, Adventures Underground. My iced latte was excellent-smooth and flavorful. The tart cherry scone was flakey, with chewy cherry chunks and a hint of butter. Yum! I will enjoy seeing the growth of this cafe as they complete the remodel and expand their menu. read more

I tried 2 of their tarts and they were amazing! The reason for 3 stars are because I went in a few minutes before 8 (they close at 9), and they no longer had coffee! The lady told me she had already removed or shut down her espresso machine and only had cold brew or teas. I understand maybe 15-20 minutes before they close, but a whole hour... extremely disappointed. read more

Stumbled across this place. Ordered the red queen iced coffee. It was delicious. Reminded me of fresh coffee from a Hawaiian coffee plantation. It wasn't too sweet, and the coffee wasn't burnt at all. Had a beautiful flavor and scent. Cat, one of the owners gave us some teas to sample and they were absolutely delicious. Also an awesome thing about this place is that they support all local artists. read more

Excellent coffee. I can't stand most local places' coffee, but Caterpillar Cafe's is excellent. Good location too, easy parking right in front or just around the corner. There's usually an old guy in a Rick and Morty t-shirt sitting at the counter right by the entrance, he's good for chatting with till your drink is made. Tons of records too. And check out the photo booth photos, they're pretty great. read more

Still very new, but functional! I asked at the counter of Adventures bookstore where the nearest coffeeshop was so i could read my new books...Lo & behold, Caterpillar is their coffeeshop! Awesome steampunk vibe. The barista was lovely in her steampunk garb & very nice. The drinks are definitely unique. I got a Tweedledee & love it! I look forward to watching it grow. Finally something different thats not another Hipster place. The music was a little weird...Even without complete furnishings something other than elevator jazz would go a long way towards great ambience. read more

Brand new place still has some setting up to do but the coffee is really tasty. At least for my first drink, it was a nice clean taste with no burnt flavor at all. I will definitely get coffee here again and hope they just keep getting better. read more
