Very reminiscent of the eastern European cakes, etc. we've had at family gatherings! What a delightful place. The moment you walk in you definitely aren't in Pasco anymore. The decor is comforting and colorful. If you love sweets, well this is an oasis for your taste buds. Walking in I was met with a nice greeting and smile. Since my eyes were fixated on all the sweets, I didn't feel the need to rush as I tried to make up my mind. I decided to grab a few macaroons (just because I love them), some cream horns, and a dish that I could only describe as a very delicious ravioli (Pelmeni). The experience overall was very nice. Visiting from Texas. Via Yelp I searched bakeries in the Tri-cities. Found this gem of a locally owned bakery. Wide selection of French & Russian goodies. We tried different pastries. All divine! The moist chocolate cherry roll was topped with chocolate ganache, chocolate mouse with glazed cherries. Pistachio macaron was amazing.But our favorite was the Berry in puff pastry/ Napoleon, in fresh chantilly cream, very similar to Whole Foods Chantilly cream cake. All of the pastries we tried are sweetened perfectly. So happy I found this bakery, I was craving for good quality pastries,and Aliona's did not disappoint. Cake is very good but the service is poor. If you call to see if they have a cake you can pick up they do not answer the phone. It is an inconvenience because gas being expensive you can driver all the way over there to learn they dont even have the cake you want available... Today is Saturday and I have called four time before 1:30pm and never an answer...Poor service. read more

I pop in every time I'm in Tri Cities - I believe that the owners have a soulful interpretation of recipes of my childhood. Historically, traditional Russian cakes come from a long line of German and French pastries. Here, you can treat yourself without getting your passport out. Do take the time to try their cakes. I've had their desserts, rolls and main dishes. Desserts-decadent, rich, moist and unique. Where else can you get a 15 layer cake? Rolls-cabbage, cheese, beef, chicken and more. Flaky, chewy and yes, a bit greasy but in a good way. That's where the flavor is, right? Dishes- bortsch, pelmini and stuffed cabbage. Just wow...I had NEVER met a beet I liked till now. I have tried too many bowls of bortsch to count or remember since hubby forces me to try each one hoping to change my mind and actually enjoy the beauty that's in those little red tubers. Alas, I can finally say, yes, I like bortsch, more specifically, their bortsch. The pelminis are like little raviolis. They're small and cute and tasty. Personally, I prefer polish style of dumplings, pierogies, since they're larger and have a larger meat filling so it's less dough to meat ratio but pelminis are still good. The stuffed cabbage here are also different yet just as good. It has a different filling than just beef and rice like I'm used to. I would still get it again. I appreciate all foods around the world and we're very fortunate to have this wonderful Russian restaurant in TC. read more

Piroshky. SO GOOD! Seriously though. Everything here is delicious. The cream horns, macarons, zefir, cannoli... all great pastry/desserts. But we come for the piroshky. They don't always have it (earlier is better) and the fillings change but I get at least one every time I come in if I can. Pork filling is my favorite but the beef filling and feta filling are close behind and other fillings haven't disappointed. On top of the that people are great. Always nice. It is local and family owned so come here! read more

The European/ukrainian treats were really good and interesting... the cupcake and the rose pedal macron were so so. The service was great and he but in another macron for free given the other one was crushed just slightly without us asking.
