First came in here for their doughnuts, they make the cutest gingerbread man shaped glazed donuts with maple and cream cheese, while in there they told me they made birthday cakes too. Ordered my daughter's 2nd birthday cake. Showed them a picture of what I wanted. I was so happy with the cake they made! It was red velvet with cream cheese filling and buttercream frosting! This cake was so moist so delicious. My husband who doesn't even like cake said it was delicious/moist/amazing! Price was great! Very pleased. I also found in their bread rolls that are stuffed with cream cheese/jalapeño and mozzarella/pepperoni, those were also amazing! So far everything I've tried has been great! read more

Incredible that Don Francisco has such a rude, arrogant, and ill-tempered employee. Several people had already told me about this woman and her poor customer service, and that is why they no longer return to this business. They witnessed her mistreating a young woman who was training there, and today I personally experienced her arrogant, rude, and disrespectful behavior. I asked to speak with the owner, and she refused to call him. I had to raise my voice for him to come out so I could inform him about the type of employee he has. I hope he reassigns her to a position behind the scenes, without direct contact with customers. read more

okay, was looking for doughnuts and Francisco's shows up. when I looked at the pictures and saw cases of what we call mexican wedding cookies I couldn't get here fast enough. came in Sunday morning jonesing hard and got a couple of these, some of those, and a vanilla/maple frosted yeast donut guy :-) cookies are a little smaller and denser than back home but they'll do in a pinch ;-) like most delicacies the stuff you know is the stuff you know and these are a little different. not so different that I didn't enjoy the variety box that I got and it won't keep me away or anything... just not likely to replace my favorite cookie shop back home (and the 40 hour drive kinda seals it.) read more

Went to Francisco's today for Mexican sweetbreads. A great selection and wow they are good. My brother is visiting from California and we talked about the one we got in Fresno California when we were kids. The taste brought back fond memories. Reasonable priced and fresh. Francisco's is my favorite bakery in the Tri-Cities. We got our wedding cake/cupcakes from them when we got married and we consistently stop by whenever we are back in town to visit. We love their frosted sugar cookies and their prices are fantastic. They have a large variety of treats to choose from and I've never seen them low on stock. read more

Francisco bakery had one of the best doughnuts in town but there orders defiantly need improvement. There have been three different occasions where the order are completely unacceptable. 20.00 for strawberries in cake. Pricey but it's fine just wanted some fresh strawberries layered in the cake . I just ducked in here for something sweet and ate it a bit later after a very large lunch. They had an assortment of wonderful pastries and I could have bought a lot more than what I did but as soon as I zeroed in on their German Chocolate cupcakes the rest was history. When I was hungry enough after arriving back to my motel I was in sheer chocolate bliss! The cupcake was wonderful! I'm not sure when my next trip will be back to the area but when I do come back I will make it a priority to come here for my sweets! Delicious! read more

A very good bakery, at least for traditional donuts and stuff. The prices are extremely good and the staff friendly. Since the store is configured as self serve, they are doing their best by having "new" and "used" tong bins for each customer to pick out their goodies using clean tongs. I am not sure if there is actually a difference between the bins or if they just switch the names around when the used bin is full, but it makes me feel better to believe there is. After having enchiladas for dinner this past Saturday night, it seemed entirely appropriate to stop at Francisco's Pasteleria to pick up some dessert. Francisco's is one of the finest bakeries I've ever visited. For starters, I was impressed by the vast selection available so late on a Saturday evening. While there was the typical selection of sweet Mexican baked goods, including conchas, there were also items like maple bars and doughnuts for those customers with gabacho preferences. Francisco's also had these Stromboli-like items containing ham and cheese. I opted for a slice of pound cake, a "turtle" and a "Bavarian Crème cone." Each item was fresh and tasty. The pound cake was moist and dense with a pleasant robust vanilla flavor. The "turtle" was a flat circular roll of caramel (and maybe a little toffee) and walnuts embedded in chocolate (available in either milk or dark chocolate). Decadent and delicious. The "Bavarian Crème cone" was a bread/croissant item shaped like an ice cream cone and filled with Bavarian crème. I'm a sucker for Bavarian Crème and loved this confection. This is a nice little bakery with tasty treats ranging from donuts to customized cakes. They also have muffins, cupcakes, cookies, turnovers, cinnamon rolls, and mexican pastries, most of which are in self-serve cases. Pepsi products and milk are available to wash down your treats as you sit in the small dining area. This review is based on the few donuts we tried. The thing preventing this place from a higher rating is price and taste. The donuts are about on par with grocery store donuts in regard to taste, but I was disappointed to find only a small teaspoon amount of custard inside my bismark donut. That said, the price is considerably higher. Overall, I don't think we'd go out of our way to come here again. read more

A first rate, smaller family bakery. I was delighted to see them open on my early morning walk one day. I was greeted by, Daniel, and served a warm-fresh Empanada at a price any student can afford. I learned they bake all types of delicious goods for the tummy, oh so yummy. I learned during a snow storm that Francisco takes the time to make sure his sidewalks are ready for the Seniors, kids, and disabled to get where they need to go, he shovels them and applies salt. I was really looking forward to trying this place, and finally got around to it. I had a braid donut and a scone, and my mom had a Bismarck donut and a scone. My braid donut was really soft, fresh, and delicious. Also, not too sweet like Krispy Kreme. My mom said her donut was soft and fresh as well but said there was very little creme filling inside which was a bummer. Also, the scones were good, but nothing really special. There wasn't as much filling inside as I would have liked and the pastry wasn't super tasty. All in all, I will probably go back and try some more of their donuts, because my donut was super good! The prices were also pretty reasonable which was nice. But the Bismarck wasn't great and the scones were only average. read more
