My friends and I ordered the vegetarian plate as an appetizer and it came with spanakopita, hummus, pita, stuffed grape leaves, and falafel. Every bit of this dish was delicious and I could've made a meal out of the hummus and pita. For my meal I chose the falafel pita wrap and fries. It was fresh, tasty, and filling. I also sampled my friends bowl of soup she chose for lunch which was a lemon chicken soup that I cannot wait to get next time I'm there and my other friend had the marinated chicken kebabs I sampled them also and they were mouthwatering good. Saw the good reviews on here so I decided to give it a whirl. The location is in a building that looks like a house. There was only one other table so the service was perfect. The inside is decorated really cute and the atmosphere is cozy. I definitely felt a Mediterranean vibe. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I ordered the vegetarian platter for an appetizer which included hummus, falafel, tzatziki, dolmas, babaghanoosh, and spanakopita. The falafel was perfect and the dolmas had wonderfully seasoned rice. The hummus was super fresh. What a delicious appetizer! For my entree I got the souvlaki chicken. I was stuffed from the appetizer, so I only picked at it but it was really good. The chicken was grilled and seasoned perfectly, the rice was fresh, and the grilled onions and peppers were good. Nice to get a little variety in the neighborhood without the drive. Came in for lunch and was seated quickly, though service was a little slow. There was a big party of very chatty ladies coming in at various times. Typical Greek fare so I had to get my gyros going. I was looking for something small in addition to meal so asked friendly person going by who suggested Baba ghanoush. I appreciate how he offered half order since portion was big so I tried. Pita bread was nice and warm and they made regular rounds to refill my tea glass. Prices very reasonable and nothing super expensive on menu (though I did not try any of the fish on the menu board). It's my favorite restaurant--ever! The Mezza plate is amazing, the hummus is super fresh, and the gyro plate is exceptional-tasting meat! My favorite soup is the lemon rice soup. My favorite salad: the Greek salad. Oh my goodness, I want to eat there now...my mouth is watering! Even my 11-yr old loves this place as her favorite, too! The ambiance set by the dimmed lighting and beautiful panoramic photos framed on the walls give you the feeling of being in Greece or surrounding islands of the Mediterranean. This Cafe Medi is so nice, I love the patio seating it's beautiful with the lights. I love the food quality, the shawarma plate is delicious and they give great portions so I always take some home. Was looking for a great local Greek restaurant and this place didn't disappoint. An extremely charming atmosphere - loved the coziness of the set up. The warm pita was a hit - my 2 year old devoured it! Everything we ordered was delicious and would absolutely order again- hummus, kefta kabob, shawerma, and baklava. My two year old got the cheeseburger, and was one of the few burgers we've ever ordered where she ate the whole thing. The service was a great as our waitress was on top of everything. My wife and I had heard many good things about Cafe Medi, so last Sunday after church we dropped in for lunch. We can't wait to join them for dinner sometime soon! My wife enjoyed her Greek salad. I tried the tomato basil soup for my appetizer and it was very good, with just the right amount of basil to define the flavor. For my entree I ordered the Pastisio - a Greek style lasagna layered with beef, Béchamel (white cream sauce) and marinara sauce. It was absolutely delicious. First time to the new location last night. Love the original Hurst location and this one is just as good. The same menu in a cozy dining space. I like the open kitchen at the original but this place was very good. Service was exceptional and really enjoyed my dinner. I had the half roasted chicken, which was deboned. It takes 15-20 minutes but is well worth the wait. Very moist and great spices. We also shared the hummus and babaganoush appetizers. Good sized portions and very fresh, along with the baskets of warm pita brea. Also love that this is a BYO. Look forward to trying the patio when the weather is nicer! read more

Walking up to café medi can be a bit underwhelming with the appearance of a remodeled old house and a bland ramp. BUT...once inside it is cute and private environment that suits well to groups of friends or those out on dates. The food is delicious and the service is pretty good. The biggest thing for me is the food, delicious and inexpensive. Cooked to perfection, delicious, and makes me feel like I stepped out of Texas and into my big fat Greek wedding. We have been big fans of Cafe Medi for years, and used to make the trek occasionally to the Hurst location. We now frequent the Keller location and it's a solid hit every time. We were just there the other night and it struck me how rare it is to have a consistently great experience somewhere, every time, with the food, the people and the atmosphere. That night was no exception! Some of our favorites on the menu: lemon rice soup, meza plate (hummus, tzatziki and babaganoush), tabbouli, falafel, gyro and mixed grill (souvlaki chicken, beef and kefta kabob). The pita is always warm and plentiful. There are some mixed reviews on here for the green beans that accompany many of the entrees, but I think they're divine; garlicky and flavorful. Another huge plus is the beautiful backyard patio (it's truly a backyard, as this is a former residence in Old Town Keller), which is such a rare and wonderful find in this area. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is so good. Pay them a visit--you won't be disappointed! read more

This is our favorite Mediterranean restaurant. Everything has been wonderful here since they opened. The food is delicious, the service is fabulous, ad the price is great. I've come here for lunch with coworkers, and I've also come in the evening and on Sunday afternoons and the service is always excellent no matter the time or day. They make the best lemon soup I've ever had! In fact I often come just for lemon soup and spanakopita as a light meal. Their spanakopita is delicious and flaky. The tzitziki sauce is as good as mine homemade. I've had many things on the menu and nothing has been bad. My favorite is moussaka, which has a hint of cinnamon to it perhaps? but the lamb is also heavenly, and perfectly seasoned. The meat is so tender it literally falls off the bone. Be sure you try the mint tea. It's very soothing and has fresh mint leaves in it. read more

The food and proportions are beyond generous, the staff is pleasant and it is very hard to find an authentic cuisine like this in the DFW area. Heard this place was good so me and my wife decided to stop by, and it exceeded our expectations. We started with the Meza plate which was very good. I ordered the lamb chops that were cooked to perfection, and my wife ordered the souvlaki chicken which was also excellent. Try the lemon rice soup, you will not be disappointed! I am picky. I have tried Greek Food in many different states, and this is probably the BEST I've had. The falafel was crispy, light and delicious. The gyro meat was tender and all the flavors and seasonings were on point. The atmosphere was fun and cute. You can tell that they care about their food and that they put attention to detail in what they're doing. What they do matters to them, and it shows. My mom & I decided to do our birthday lunches here, and it was a great choice. We've been frequenters of the Colleyville location for a couple years, but their new location is incredibly convenient for those in the Keller area. The food was fresh and tasty, and the service was friendly and fast. We went in at lunch time on a Saturday, and the restaurant was comfortably full, without a wait. Our group of 5 ordered from the lunch menu, and shared the Mousaka, Gyro, Kefta, and Shawerma. All were delicious, and reasonably portioned for around $10 each. We got complimentary desserts for our birthdays (and a couple more for the table, since we were not sharing!) and sampled the Lemoncello Mascarpone Mousse Cake, Bananas Foster Ice Cream Cake, Tiramisu, and Galaktoboureko, all of which were tasty and worth the calories. For those looking for a traditional Mediterranean dessert, the Galaktoboureko was delicious, but our entire party regretted not ordering the Bananas Foster Ice Cream Cake, which was sublime. The Lemoncello Marscarpone Mousse Cake was tart and flavorful, but would have been better paired with a romantic evening and an espresso. read more

I was going to be alone this weekend for Easter. I wanted to do something nice for myself, and wanted to support local business, so I treated myself to takeout for dinner. I am vegetarian. I ordered a falafel pita. When I got home, they had given me some kind of meat pita. It is distressing to a vegetarian to have to deal with an unwanted piece of dead animal placed where your dinner should be. They do not seem to have any kind of quality control if they don't care enough to distinguish a wrong order. I called. They wanted me to come back for a falafel pita, but I was exhausted, and no longer wanted to waist my time and gas a second time. Will not be going back. Cannot recommend. read more

Tonight we ordered the hummus with chicken, which was served with warm pita bread, and had tomato basil soup. For our entrees we got the lamb shank, served with green beans and rice and the gyro with fries. The lamb was juicy and flavorful, and the gyro was very well seasoned. My comment here refers to the back patio which is also fantastic.... but, I will say that the ownership needs to sound proof or move the AC units to the side of the building and work with the sound system a bit.
