Italiannis has been in this location as long as I can remember, a touch dated on the inside decor, but still serving up some delicious Italian dishes. Crooner music softly coming through the speakers set the tone for a relaxing vibe during the meal. The service was good, but for a party of 6 the table selection could have been better. It felt cramped, and table space was lacking for the food we ordered, and emptied plates sat too long before being picked up. Diana had the Prosciutto Brie and Arugula Flatbread, and I had the Salmon Piccata. Hers was so-so, and mine was delicious and filling. The lemon white wine sauce, mmm, good. We finished it off with Tiramisu, Creme Brulee, and Key Lime Pie, a good finish for sure. Possibly could have enjoyed our time more with more space to work with. read more

Well, it's been over a year since I've visited here, I used to eat here on a regular basis when I was with my previous company, but they let me go. But now I'm with a new company and I'm back in the area for the next several years so I will be dining here frequently again. My waitress was absolutely amazing, she was fun, personable, and attentive, the rest of the service like the greeters were okay, I didn't initially feel welcomed. The ambiance is decent, noisy but not the worst, table was clean and seating was comfortable. The stuffed shrimp were just dry and not stuffed the sauce next to it just taste like mayo. The bread was good and the shrimp angel hair pasta was okay, did not taste like the cost of the plate. Overall experience was okay. read more

Lost another star. I just do not understand what is going on at Italiannis. They're losing another start because I ordered one of the two fish specials and the fish came uncooked in the middle. I sent it back to the kitchen and the chef said he would make a whole new dish... Except the fish they gave was MORE cooked, but still raw in the thick center. And for context this fish is a white fish not a tuna that normally is a little uncooked. I will not be back as they STILL have not added that there are NUTS in the sauce of the French toast casserole mascarpone . It is a health hazard. read more

I felt like I was instantly transported to a family owned joint in New Year City! Dark wood, moody lighting, well dressed waiters. I loved my side salad, very fresh and the dressing was evenly spread out and the chicken Marsala was delicious! I ate it all up! I didn't care for the dark chocolate-blood orange dessert, it melted really fast. But I was there for the main course anyway, and it did not disappoint. Service was great as well! Such a cute old time-y themed restaurant. It's dark furniture and old knobs and bars, and titled floor makes you feel like you're stepping back in time a few decades. I came here for a girl's dinner. It is loud and packed on a Friday night. The dress code can range from shorts and gym shoes to more elegant casual wear of dresses and dress shirts. The food was slow to come but worth the wait. I had the Seafood Di Amore pasta, it only came with 3 jumbo shrimp but 2 large scallops and enough crab/lobster meat to keep me slurping up with the buttery lobster sauce. Plenty of parking in the back! Our server Kevin was so professional and sweet. He let us know his honest feed back on the dishes, for instance he said one dish was popular with the customers but he personally prefers something else, BUT that he would recommend it to a family member. Wonderful gem in the area with excellent pasta, service, and spacious booth seating! We popped in here to have a lowkey little family birthday dinner for my partner on a late Tuesday afternoon, and found a lovely restaurant space with plenty of spacious, very comfortable booths available for seating. Service was very friendly and attentive, and I loved the quality and size of all the food items we ordered while here. A few members of our party ordered the Olive Garden 'Tour of Italy' styled plate 'Italianni's Trio', which had very big portions and was deliciously prepared. I personally ordered the Linguine with Clams & White Sauce pasta dish, and absolutely LOVED it. Soooo much pasta that was prepared just right - it was delightfully saucy and covered in fresh toppings (in addition to the clams), but nothing was done to a level that would overpower the dish or become too much to enjoy. They also overheard us wishing a happy birthday to my partner and took the initiative to bring out some complimentary cake to celebrate - it was wonderfully decadent and delicious, not to mention large enough for all of us to enjoy together! Went in no hostess do sat at the bar, took 6min for anyone to come to the bar with only 1 other customer at the bar and one bar table occupied. Once she arrived to greet us she didn't even bring water just menus and silverware wrapped in napkin. Our service was not acceptable as we continued to wait for water even. Nice local Italian place with a stylish interior and friendly staff. No having to ask to sit at a booth because it's basically all booths, love that. Our server was good, attentive. I wish I could remember his name, he basically looked like a tall Aaron Hotchner from Criminal Minds. lol We started with calamari and it was delicious. Even my niece liked it and getting her to try stuff is a challenge. The breading was crisp and the tomato compote was good, a little sweet. They're a little oily after several pieces, but the flavor is really good nonetheless. The rosemary bread they provide is one of my favorite things. I loooove this bread, it's amazing. For her entree my niece had the kid's alfredo with chicken, and a side of broccoli. Their alfredo is supremely good, beats any other alfredo out there. Chains like Olive Garden don't hold a candle to the alfredo at Italiannis. That said, the broccoli wasn't seasoned at. My niece loves steamed broccoli, it's one of her favorites, but she had to salt it pretty well. My entree was the Chicken Milense. The sauce tastes like the alfredo, with a drize of pesto and something else. The sauce and mashed potatoes were delicious. The chicken was pretty dry, but the stuffing was good. My sister had the special of the day, halibut with a side of broccolini and cream cause encased in a sort of cup made from ravioli pasta, and lion's mane and hen of the woods mushrooms. I have to say, the broccolini, sauce, and mushrooms were great. The fish was seasoned well, but it was overcooked. The ravioli pasta was... baked? Not sure, but the result was a strange hard rubber texture. I would order a side of the broccolini again, it was really good. For dessert, my niece got the Tarfullo. The sauce it was sitting in basically tasted like melted ice cream. It was delicious and had a raspberry drizzle through it. I didn't taste the cake with mousse, not a big fan of chocolate desserts, but my niece said it was amazing. I've been coming here every so often for... almost 20 years? It's always been a solid choice, great food. If they were more consistent, this would be a five star place. We love this place, the good food, and all its charm. My wife and I always have a great time at Italiannis. I've technically been coming here for decades as I came here weekly with my parents growing up. It's honestly exactly as I remember it inside as it was in the early 2000's. The food is always excellent, you really can't go wrong with any dish you choose. Once nice feature that they have is they allow you to split meals. So if you're not starving (portions are large) you can split a meal between the two of you. The atmosphere is low key with a touch of elegance. It's not a fine dining restaurant, but it can feel like one. Service has always been amazing. The staff really pay's attention to the details and makes sure you're comfortable and feel at home. It's easily one of our favorite Italian restaurants to eat at. I've never eaten inside here however have done pick up and delivery multiple times. With pick and delivery's - service expected is to be on time with my order when I am ready for it. Pick up tends to be a bit slow. I recommend showing up a good 15 minutes after they advised. They allow you to wait at the bar, have a drink but if that's not what you are looking for just keep your timing in line. Online it looks much more fancy but this is a place for families 100%. My favorite plate by far is the Penne Arrrabiata. This time I got their grilled chicken caprese. I was a little disappointed as the chicken was very dry even with all the moisture full toppings. Came here on a date night with my hubby. As Hurst residents I can't believe we have never been here. The place has a very vintage vibe, and seems family oriented. We started off with the Bruschetta and it was by far my favorite thing. The bruschetta had a lot of flavor. I had a Lemon Drop Martini and it was really good. For our meals we had the Lobster Ravioli and the Short Rib Ravioli, both were amazing. The Cake Ice cream situation I had for dessert was delightful, and will definitely order that again. One thing I loved is how spacious their bathroom was, it had a full length mirror, which us ladies love. We ordered the Bruchetta appetizer a very large order a meal in itself but delivered a soggy mess, and the crust on the bread tasting of burnt cook top oil and the cheese on top was loose cubes; not melted, we sent it back. The spinach salad was excellent goat cheese and the sweetness of the fruit was well done. We ordered the classic flatbread to split, it was so tough we could not chew it perhaps over baked or the bread not prepared well or both. We boxed it up as leftovers for the teenagers. Last Friday night my hubby and I wanted a really nice , laid back Italian restaurant. One of the things I notice was all the sweet couples enjoying a meal in a booth and just enjoying really good food. Thud night we choose to sit at the bar.. you could tell there were regulars at the bar. The place was busy but we had our waters and bread ( which I love their bread ) and the oil / spice mix they serve is so yummy .. we shared some wine ( almost got a bottle ) the prices were nice .. we ordered the calamari and my husband said it was the best flavored he had ever had. We shared chicken piccata with a Greek salad . Ordered one daughters chicken Alfredo. The reasons I do reviews is things can happen .. I went to the bathroom as we were ready to leave .. our to go order and our leftovers , we though we're in the bag .. we got home and we were missing our daughters Alfredo .. so hubby called and thank goodness we live close - we went and got it and she then put in w desert that made this RIGHT ;) it was the pumpkin creme cake and it was FABULOUS! Wow! This local restaurant was absolutely amazing in service, the atmosphere and ambience was lovely and timeless, and the food was delicious and fresh! We came for my birthday dinner as we always see this restaurant busy but have never tried it. We called for a reservation and when we arrived, it was very busy as it was Saturday night, but we were seated within 2 minutes. We were greeted by a friendly waitress shortly after and had drinks in hand and bread on the table within 10 minutes. We ordered the Spinach and Artichoke Formaggio which arrived with toasted garlic bread. The dish was delicious and there was just enough bread-to-dip ratio! Our party of 4 ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo, Grilled Chicken Caprese, Shrimp and Crab stuffed Mahi Mahi and the Cajun Steak Alfredo. All dishes arrived with fresh garnish and excellent presentation. The alfredo tasted housemade and not at all greasy. The shrimp had a fresh taste as well, along with the Mahi Mahi. The grilled chicken caprese arrived with a red sauce with sweet cherry tomatoes which complemented the pesto drizzle. We received an Oreo cheesecake free of charge as a birthday dessert (very nice!) and ended up also ordering the Crème brûlée. It was light and just the right amount of sweet! The prices were affordable and the portions were perfect. Highly recommend!!! We had an amazing experience and will definitely be coming back! read more

First off I want to say that we've been eating at this establishment for over 18 yrs & have never left disappointed until this past week. Our family decided to have our Easter dinner here bc it's always a hit. In past, a filet has been ordered more times than I can count, but on Sunday a sirloin was served when a filet is what was ordered. I know the difference between the 2 meats. The piece of meat I was served & told was a filet couldn't be cut w the steak knife. This is not an exaggeration. It was not a filet. The mashed potatoes were cool and the asparagus was almost as tough as the sirloin. I do not want anything in return, I just will not return. I do feel like the apps were actually better than the meal. My raviolis were good, the meat was a bit dry. I actually wish I'd ordered the steak. At first our main server was a bit curt but then when he heard one of the guests complain about his demeanor (he was behind him) he turned everything around and went above and beyond to make sure he was taken the right way. Comes with mashed potatoes and spinach. I appreciated that there was a bit of a side with it. The pastas are around $20.. The portion was big! Took half to go! The sauce was too heavy in my opinion. It overpowered the veal. Maybe I should've asked for it on the side... The pastas looked big enough for multiple meals too. Everybody enjoyed their meal.. The best Italian food I've ever had with too notch service. The parking lot is always packed, but there is never a long wait. Inside is like a crowded family finding rooms, not my favorite but it keeps the wait short and it's the normal Italian restaurant thing. Service is always great beginning to end.
