Honestly, I didn't really like the food here. It tasted too Americanized. It just wasn't really my thing. I also hate onions and didn't expect there to be green onion in the food. Terrible overpriced food and service is slow as can be. Hardly busy and a bowl will take 15-20 minutes I'm told. When paying they "encourage the tip" so much that you have to either choose from three percentages or custom just to get to the next screen and if you click custom you then either put an amount or $0 just to advance to the third screen to actually pay. Started off with the lunatic Sampler. Grape leaves, hummus, Falafels and couscous medley. It was delicious except for the Couscous medley. No flavor. Really enjoyed the grape leaves (Dolma's) and hummus. Both delicious! Recommend serving with a couple slices of lemon. Our entrees, bistro beef kabobs and Chicken & Gyro meat plates were really good. Steak and Chicken were super moist and tender. Highly recommend trying their sauces. Schug-a spicy grean sauce that was nothing short of exceptional. The Harissa, a smoky chili flavor was Devine. I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I was served burnt chicken and brought it to an employee's attention. Instead of apologizing or offering to replace it, they simply said "oh" and looked at me as if I was the problem. I walked away because I was shocked by the response. After thinking about it, I went back and asked to speak with a manager. I was told there wasn't one available, and someone eventually introduced themselves as the shift lead. What I don't understand is why I had to ask for management in the first place. The obvious response should have been, "I'm sorry about that, let me replace your meal." I've been a loyal customer and come here regularly, which makes this experience even more frustrating. The lack of customer service, professionalism, and concern for a paying customer is unacceptable. A simple apology and replacement could have resolved the situation immediately. Eventually as I was leaving they apologized, yea too late. Unfortunately, because of how this was handled, I will not be returning. read more

The restaurant was clean, quiet, welcoming, and smelled incredible. And yes, absolutely try the tea. It was a custom Earl Grey blend made specifically for them, and it was fantastic. When I got home, I was surprised by how generous the portions were for the price. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully balanced. The spices were used perfectly, the produce tasted fresh, and the food even held its temperature well by the time I got home. I've only been here once so far, but I already plan on becoming a regular, probably at least once a week. Y'all are doing an amazing job, and I'm really glad I found this place.

Also worth noting, this is Fort Worth, and once the thermometer hits triple digits, the patio conversation ends itself if the windows are open. Plan accordingly. Malai starts every table with steamed sticky rice and an eggplant dip, which is a charming little ritual and a genuinely good one. We also kicked things off with the Edamame, a heads up on the heat level there, and the Fried Imperial Rolls, filled with ground pork and shrimp and served with a sesame soy sauce. Fair warning: these do not photograph well and arrive at the table looking a little shy. Don't be fooled. They're flavorful, subtly spicy, and well worth ordering. For entrees, we tried the Basil Vegetable Fried Rice two ways, one vegan and one with chicken. The vegan version was a genuine surprise, with vegetables cooked just right and a flavor that didn't need the chicken to make its case. The mushrooms, however, had the texture of something you'd find in a hardware store. Chew at your own risk. The Green Curry, meanwhile, was a case of too much of a good thing. The curry was so heavy-handed it drowned everything underneath it. Sometimes restraint is a virtue. Save room for the Banana Pot de Crème. It's creamy, subtly sweet, and a graceful finish to the meal. The service at Malai is enthusiastic, and I do mean enthusiastic. The staff works as a team, all smiles, attentive, always nearby. Occasionally a little too nearby. More than once a plate nearly disappeared before we were done with it. It's a small complaint, and honestly a far better problem than the alternative. They're warm, cheerful, and clearly enjoy what they do, which goes a long way. Portions are generous, so order a few dishes and share the wealth. For a lunch stop between shops, Malai Kitchen punches well above its weight.

The staff allowed the dog's water bowl to be placed on the table, and while the dog remained on a leash, several employees stopped to pet it before returning to refill drinks, deliver food, or check on guests. Loved it from the moment we walked in! My daughter and I decided to try this place out while Black Friday shopping. We are from the Austin area where we have some very good Mediterranean restaurants, so our standards are pretty high in this category! We were exhausted from shopping, and starving, looking for something healthier than the fast food places all around us. We walked in to Luna Grill 10-15 minutes before closing time, realizing that we were coming in at a crappy time, but we just couldn't help ourselves because the only other options around us screamed, "You'll hate yourself tomorrow!" From the moment we walked in the door, we knew we had struck gold! The vibe was great! The staff was very friendly and took the time to tell us about the dishes. (Mistica, Julian, and a blond girl working the register.) I apologized for coming in at closing and promised to hurry, but they assured me that it was fine and they were glad to have us. I ordered the felafel pita with tzatziki instead of tahini and a side salad and it was awesome! My daughter ordered the flat cut chicken kabob and absolutely loved it! Clean, healthy food! I am compelled to express my disappointment regarding the subpar service I experienced today at Luna Grill Alliance Town Center. I have also taken the liberty of posting a review on Google, as I was extremely dissatisfied with the service and unfriendliness displayed. Not only was the wait for my two small orders excessively long, but they have also prioritized and served 3-4 customers who arrived and ordered after me. To make it worse, the food I received was incorrect. Due to health issues, I am unable to consume lamb or red meat, which I explicitly mentioned to the cashier. I ordered a gyro with grilled chicken and a salmon plate set, but instead I received a lamb and chicken plate, with the salmon plate being replaced by a less expensive option. I didn't get the side of hummus and my extra salad too. Although I was extremely upset, I was halfway away from Alliance and chose not to return the order. I sincerely hope that the employees will strive to be more attentive, courteous, and friendly in the future. Providing customer service training would likely be beneficial in achieving this goal. read more

We had such a wonderful experience thanks to the three amazing waitresse, Mari, Kloe, and Helena who took care of us. They were all incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional throughout our visit. Their positive attitudes, teamwork, and excellent customer service truly made our dining experience special. They constantly checked on us, made sure everything was perfect, and made us feel so welcomed and valued. Really disappointed for the last three visits. I am a creature of habit and visit weekly. I get the apple walnut salad with grilled chicken. There isn't a cup of lettuce in the salad, 4 very thin apple slices and no walnuts - the second ingredient in the name for $9+. The time before this I didn't get any apple, walnuts or cheese - just scant lettuce. It is never the same twice and not at all worth what they are charging. From now on I will go a little further in the parking lot to Newks, where their salads are full of fresh ingredients for the $$. I gave Luna one star, but don't feel they earned even that. read more

We had our first visit to Luna Grill today and it was wonderful! The staff were very friendly and the food was great! I had the appetizer platter as my meal and everything was better than I expected! Their stuffed grape leaves were so good, I already am planning on going back for more! They were super sweet with our daughter as well. They gave her crayons and even brought out one of their mini cupcakes for her when they heard it was her birthday! We had a party of 3 adults and one toddler and every one left happy.
