    The Berkeley location.

The place was filled with homeless people, it was unsanitary. A homeless guy literally came and sat on our table while we were still eating and the workers just sat and did nothing. We had kids with us, so we asked them please escort the homeless person out but they refused to help. The homesless guy ate our food for about good 10 min, i told them at least replace the food he touched, the workers were so rude and unhelpful, they basically said it was our fault we let him sit down. Unprofessional and unsanitary. Do no recommend this place or at least the Berkeley location.

This is probably the cutest cafe in Berkeley!! The interior is so chic, with beautiful natural light and an outdoor seating area. I ordered an iced coffee and wasn't a huge fan but their acai bowl always hits. The service is decent, the staff is usually warm and friendly.

Nice people. Slow service. Chocolate croissant tasted stale. The flat white was weak in flavor. Did I mention they are very slow. On the positive they have a nice outdoor space for the extra long wait.

A solid brunch option! Standard prices. It's pretty crowded on a weekend brunch time. When I went a couple weekends ago, all seating inside was basically taken and most seats outside as well. There's a park nearby if you only have small transportable items. I love the vanilla pastry but they ran out by the time I swooped by. The falafel is so crunchy but soft on the inside (laudatory). I loved the latte art on my matcha latte.

Located around the corner from the Main Street. Cafe Reveille was busy not thankfully not packed on Memorial Day. My iced coffee was good but notjing notable. They have a cart with simple syrup and sugar which was helpful to adjust the sweetness. The trash in the bathroom was overflowing, so it could do with a bit more attention.

This was the burrito once I opened it up, there's not even a lot of beans. not evenly portioned at all

I ordered a breakfast burrito with only avocado, black beans, & potatoes, when I received my burrito there was no hint of avocado visible in it. They told me it was in there. Most burritos when sliced open you can see all the ingredients on the surface once open but I did not see any green whatsoever. After opening the burrito and getting to the bottom, there was one HALF slice of avocado in the ENTIRE burrito. The eggs were greasy too and the potatoes had zero seasoning. For 15 dollars that's pretty disappointing. I feel like this place has a good vibe and the workers seem nice but it's too pricey and the food was also bland too. I think there are better cafes in the Bay that offer better food for the same price or cheaper.

I recently checked out this café and left with mixed feelings. Café Atmosphere: This spot is constantly buzzing with activity, with lines out the door and an impressive array of modern vegan and gluten-free options. The energy is definitely lively--great for those who thrive on movement and productivity. Yet, there's a cozy, nurturing vibe in the comfortable seating, even though you're expected to bus and clean your own table. The self-serve system for utensils and water might feel a bit too hands-off for those craving a more attentive touch. I also noticed that the staff appeared somewhat stressed rather than happy, based on their facial expressions and dimmed down attitude. Cleanliness & Amenities: The restrooms could use a bit more care; they were a bit messy and needed a check for trash removal. However, overall, they're compact, tidy, and get the job done--practical, yet in need of that extra nurturing detail. On a positive note, the café is very dog-friendly, perfect for those who appreciate a little extra warmth and companionship. Outdoor Area: Patio doors opened and left opened, embracing an open-air flow concept. However, a few flies managed to wander in, slightly marring an otherwise inviting setting. With plenty of parking available and a friendly atmosphere, it's a minor hiccup in an otherwise energetic environment. There is a walkway in the patio area with Wisteria plants, which adds to the patio's atmosphere and makes it a great spot for photos. Food Highlights: * Shakshuka: Strong sun-dried tomato flavor, with a sharp acidity that may not suit all tastes. * Grilled Chicken Sandwich: Slightly over-charred but very moist. Served with potato chips, which added a nice crunch. Matcha Lattes: I ordered both an iced and a hot matcha latte, asking for one with honey and one without. Both came out sweet, which felt like a miscommunication on my part. While not overly sugary, the texture was a bit grainy instead of offering the silky smooth experience I'd hoped for. Hours of Operation: Monday-Sunday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Overall, the café offers a wide range of options in a lively setting, though there are areas that could be improved for a more consistent experience but will come back for a second opinion.

Do you have some amazing, sparkling, flavored beverages. What is the company that makes them?

How can I call the restaurant ? I left something and I need to know if they have it. They do Not pick up on the phone number listed on the website or on yelp?

Are you reopen for indoor dining?

    Yes!

Is the quinoa used in the bowls certified gluten-free? I only ask because I'm celiac and extremely sensitive. So, many times there is cross contamination where it's manufactured or in the prep space. Thank you.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when restaurants reduce the guality or quantity of their meal to cut costs while charging premium prices. I will say I didn't mind paying a few dollars more for their subs in the past. I went there today for the first time in a couple of years, ordered a regular size basic ruben sandwich (no add-ons) and was ok paying nearly $18 dollars for just the sandwich until they handed it to me. what I got was a small 6" sub. When did their subs shrink?? in this economy we are all struggling. I get it, things cost more but Craves' owner is not doing his patrons a service by charging them premiums while cutting back on the meals. If you're ok paying that much for a shrunken sub, more power to you. I l, however, will not be going back there.

Awhile back, I tried to bring as much business to Star Meat as I could because 1. it's a small business and 2. it's inside Star Grocery (which I LOVE, so it's convenient). When I would go there, there would often be 2 or 3 people behind the counter and oftentimes I would be the only customer. I felt like I had to stand there forever before anyone even acknowledged I existed. Each person would be busy doing something, but there was no "I'll be with you in 2 minutes." Finally, I went one day and there were 3 workers behind the counter chatting with each other. I was the only customer and was standing around 6 feet away from them, looking right at them. They went on with there conversation (not doing any other work) for a full 5 minutes. Finally I thought, "OK, they really don't seem to want my business, so I can go to any one of 4 other places and get what I want." That was a year or two ago. So, today I thought, why not give it another try, it's certainly convenient. Again, I'm the only customer at the counter. One guy is washing equipment and two guys are making sandwiches. I know that they know that I'm there, there are mirrors all along the back wall exactly for the purpose of seeing the customers. After around 4 minutes I think, who knows how long I'm going to be standing here. Maybe they have to make 20 sandwiches and I'll be here for a half hour. So, I left. I don't have anything like this experience at the 4 other meat counters I go to in the area. I'm totally fine waiting if I have some sense that I'm waiting for a purpose and that the worker will get to me as soon as they can. But at Star Meat, it feels like I'm more of an inconvenience than a customer. "Hi, I'll be with you as soon as I can," goes a long way.
