Grabbed a quick breakfast with the family before going to Richmond and the Rosie the Riveter Nat Monument. The Morning Breaker Bagel consists of spinach, tomato, turkey, beansprouts, and creme fraiche - a French style cream cheese that has a creamier texture and less sour taste compared to American cream cheese. I went to Eunice Gourmet Cafe on Sunday, Sept 11, during the Solano Stroll. I had a band gig right in front of them on the corner. I needed a light lunch. I ordered a vegetarian sandwich - Avocado, Cucumber & Sundried Tomato with everything. It was AMAZING! Fresh, delicious, made on warm sourdough toast. It hit the spot. For my beverage, I ordered an iced Chai Latte with Almond Milk. For dessert, I ordered the Sabaya (a Yemeni sweet which is going to be added to their main menu in mid-October - around the 20th) which looks like a pizza but has flaky dough with honey and black sesame seeds on top. It wasn't too sweet - just right. And it didn't drip on my gig clothes (70's!). I plan to go back and get a hot pressed sandwich. At these prices, I can afford to stop there when I'm running errands. The service was great (and fast). I was lucky enough to get there when there was a lull. The fellas working in there were the nicest Yemeni guys. 1 thing to remember - they do not have a restroom for public use. I come here once a week, always ordering the same sandwich: pastrami and swiss on a french roll with everything, plus pickles and jalapeños. It's such a solid sandwich and hits the spot every time. We LOVE this lil fresh food cafe. Firstly, the young men are super handsome and nice. The sandwiches are full of flavor, but also fresh and vibrant tasting. We've gotten smoothies there too and they are yummy. I noticed that the other local businesses like to get their coffee fix there. I recently came into this café and it's so great! I stopped the other day to get a coffee and was surprised at how reasonably priced it was. Today I was in the area and pretty hungry so I tried their "smoked turkey and French brie" sandwich. It was so filling and delicious! It had egg salad, mustard, jalapeño, pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce for just $10.95. Not only is the food good but the best part is that their staff is also extremely nice. Very cute little cafe with fast, friendly service and tasty chocolate croissants. They have a variety of pastries and coffees to choose from, so your sure to find a small snack. Elusive Yemeni coffee can be found here - I bought a pound of their coffee beans - called "Yemen Mocca Harazi" medium roast and with my purchase, I got a free cup of their Yemen coffee blend to try. The hot coffee, freshly brewed, was delicious. I can't wait to try the Harazi coffee at home. A while ago, I had seen the CBS News' segment on Yemeni coffee - you can find it on Youtube titled "The secret behind bodega coffee" - and I had been searching for a local source, and I'm thrilled to find it here. This little cafe serves up sandwiches, both breakfast and lunch, a few salad options, coffee and gelato. Nice guys manning the counter, but sadly I wasn't that impressed with the fare. Stale and not the best quality. The only saving grace is that they were pretty inexpensive as sandwiches in the bay area go (think $6). The turkey was slimy and the bread was stale. I loved that you can add on veggies like lettuce, sprouts and onion and so forth but it doesn't mask the not so good rest. I had post eating remorse where I honestly wish I didn't eat it and saved my calories for something more delicious. They sell a ton of breakfast sandwiches on bagels, coffee and gelato which I can't speak to. I'd suggest come for breakfast and avoid the deli meats. read more

Unfortunately the chicken had absolutely no flavour (it might as well have been tofu) and on closer examination found out that it was probably one of those manufactured (costco-like) "grilled chicken breast" with the artificial "grill marks" on it (refer to the two pictures). The yellow mustard completely overpowered whatever "tahini" sauce was in the sandwich and it was a completely forgettable experience. On the other hand, K's falafel sandwich in pita bread was quite lovely actually. That would have gotten a good three stars but what I had was yucky. $20+ for our sandwiches, drinks, and chips. read more

Walked in here randomly to get my kids a snack (brownie was a hit) and I saw people eating a salad that looked so gorgeous and fresh. I obviously had to order and it did not disappoint! Such an amazing and great sized salad! I got the one with chicken feta avocado cucumbers and tomatoes, I don't even know the name because I legit said I want what they're having .
