    Arepa con queso

This is such a cute cafe with amazing food! Counter service with self serve water. The staff was very friendly and speedy with my food. I highly recommend the pork. It was soo tender it just fell apart. The seasoning was subtle with just the right amount of saltiness. The rice and beans were bland but were a good carb to soak up the juiciness of the pork. The sweet plantains were perfect in every way. They had beautifully crunchy bottoms from being fried. The arepa con queso was good. There is a sweetness with the butter and maybe in the corn masa itself. Its very dense and rich, i would recommend splitting with a friend if possible.

I love this spot; their space is really cute, staff have always been really nice, & they have a cool patio in the summer. My husband & I came here for brunch & tried: --ABORRAJADO: the playing was really pretty with all the veg colors. My husband really enjoyed this but said it could use more salt potentially. --I had a veggie dish that was like an eggs Benedict on (I believe) arepas or masa, but can't remember the name of it. It was delicious either way; I wish there were more sauce for the Benedict because that was the tastiest part. The veggies were really good, too, but again I think they could've used more seasoning. The portion sizes of both meals were perfect. We each finished our meals but didn't feel overly stuffed. I also got an iced latte & really enjoyed it, the espresso they serve is tasty. We'll definitely be back for this spot again, it's a great brunch stop!

I really loved brunching here. It was not too busy, the workers were super nice and welcoming, and the food was phenomenal. Portions are on the smaller scale but still really filling! The arepas were incredible homey and warm vibes

The food was delicious; the decor is a bit stark & service is counter ordering, get a # & self-serve water & other drinks & food are delivered to your table.

Had a great dinner here on a weeknight with a few girlfriends. We were the only group that dined in but several takeout orders were going out. Cuisine is delicious and flavorful. They have a short menu with a few specials but a great variety in options. Recommend highly the plantains and anything with the arepas! They offer wine, beer and cocktails too if you choose to eat in which I would recommend!

Delicious!! Casual order-at-the-counter spot with great food. We stopped in on a Thursday evening and were able to find street parking right out front. There were a few other guests but we had no problem finding an open table in the small dining area. The menu is small, but they also have a few specials. I went with one of the specials which was steak and plantain. I loved the sweetness of the plantain with the savory steak and tangy sauce. The yucca fries were good too, but I was so focused on my other food that my fries got cold before I got to them.

Such cool spot! I live around the area so I stopped by! The host was so helpful they suggested things for me since am not familiar with the cuisine. I will swing by for coffee next time! The space is good too if you want to chill get some work done or relax.

Just delicious! We got the Aborrajado and Lunch Americano with pulled pork, yuca fries and sweet plantains. Both dishes were perfectly sweet, savory, rich, with the crunch from the arepa and yuca fries... all the flavors just came together so well. I only wish the "spicy sauce" was actually spicy. The waitress was really nice and the outdoor seating was exactly right for this beautiful afternoon.

Stopped in for lunch with my parents in the winter. At the time, they were allowing dine in so long as you had proof of vaccination (a picture on your phone was good enough). The lunch menu was a bit limited but we pretty much got a little of everything, and everything we had was good. The tostones were crunchy and savory, the plantains were sweet. We got both the pulled chicken and the pulled pork, both were juicy and rich, brightened by fresh cilantro, diced onion, and queso. The staff was friendly, and the entire vibe was a bit hipster. But totally clean and socially distant. Their logo is pretty cool too.

Locally owned Columbian cafe. The owner Luis is always around for quality control. Coffee is rich and tasty. Breakfast Americano is fabulous. Arepas y marmelada has delicious fruit compote and our kids love it. Try something different and relaxed

Still on that never ending journey to one-up the last breakfast sandwich I enjoyed. Time to get a bit more adventurous. I had a real craving for arepa and discovered a place I had been meaning to check out had an arepa breakfast sammie! This place is right in the middle of a Minneapolis residential neighborhood and specializes in Latin American cuisine. Their arepas specifically are fantastic. They are deep fried cornmeal-dough cakes that are subtlety sweet and melt in your mouth. What I ordered: Egg, Cheese, and Kielbasa sandwich ~ over hard egg, queso cotija, kielbasa, and banana peppers between two piping hot arepas. **I chose to also smother it in their house made Serrano hot sauce. The sweet and savory combo here is incendiary!** They are doing great things for the community as well during these trying Covid times.

I've had this place on my list FOREVER and finally went here for Sunday brunch. Everything was so delicious, the service was kind and prompt, and the ambiance was cozy and cute. I'll definitely be back soon! We got the plantains to share as a table and then tried the various options of arepas with vegetables, steak, and eggs. The arepas are crunchy and the meals are a great size for a filling brunch without being stuffed. The various cafés con leche were also a hit for our table. Also, make sure you get their homemade hot sauce (flavorful and just the right amount of heat).

Service: The service is friendly! When you arrive at the doors, there's a sign to knock but the employees are pretty good at spotting people so they will open the door to welcome you in and give you menus. You go to the register to order whenever you're ready. They do have some specials which are written on a chalkboard and the employees are able to tell you about the specials as well. Atmosphere: the restaurant was vibrant with colorful walls, and flowers on the table! It is a sit-down restaurant but fairly casual! It was well lit, and good for gathering with friends and family or coworkers! They also do to-go orders if you're not looking to dine-in! Food/drink: they have plenty of gluten free options and a couple vegetarian options. They are able to modify some of the vegetarian options to be vegan if needed. I ordered the vegetariano saltado, which was well balanced with some salty and tangy notes. It is listed as spicy on the menu but I found it to be quite mild. This was my first time having mote in a dish, which are boiled, peeled, corn kernels. They have a mild nuttiness, and a soft chewable texture which was very nice! Overall I enjoyed this dish and would order it again! The naranjilla juice was also very good! It had a tropical flavor, almost like a pineapple with orange juice flavor. I enjoyed the food overall, and thought the portions were good. Each person in my party of 3 had some leftovers remaining!! I would recommend Chimborazo to anyone interested in trying Ecuadorian food, and I will be back!

As usual, Rincón 38 served up a splendid evening thanks to the delicious food, wonderful service from Fernando, and delightful environment. We got some of our reliable favorites--piquillos, the queso frito, and the coliflor. As usual, the flavors and plating were exquisite. I always appreciate the balance of flavors and textures. Salty, savory, sweet, and piquant meet tender, creamy, and crispy. It is truly always a delight for all the senses. My birthday treat was the créma catalana, the Catalan answer to crème brûlée: sweet custard sits under a crunchy sugar crust and is topped with a lovely cinnamon-flavored apple concoction. We also tried a relatively new addition to the dessert menu--the Spanish coffee flan. With just the right amount of sweetness, this flan was sturdy and melts in your mouth. The coffee balanced the sweetness and creaminess--imagine the best coffee dessert you have had, and you're getting close.

It's a good place to go with friends to watch a game, as both sides of the room have screens, and they have happy hour specials for food and drinks. The best thing we ordered were the empanadas. We got a sampler of three and the beef and the cheese were great. The other food wasn't quite to my taste. I did not understand that everything was fried, so it was a literal mountain of fried seafood (look at the pictures, it was enough for 4 people). So, pros: large portions. Cons: it wasn't great. The staff might also have been new. It took a long time for someone to come take our drink order, and 30 minutes to get the pisco sour that was ordered (we were 1/2 tables in the whole place). We later found out that they didn't know how to make one, and were trying different recipes from someone's phone. Absolutely points for trying, but it took way too long and didn't come out quite right. Then they forget to bring me my drink while they were trying to figure out the pisco sour. I might go back for beer and apps, but not sure this place is for me. Otherwise, I will make sure to ask whether the mains are fried, and pick something different.
