Spicy chicken tenders basket with an extra chicken strip
    Tiffany T.

Good fried chicken strips with a very spicy kick! My friend and I split an order of the spicy chicken strips and it was very spicy...for me. Not only were they spicy, they were also freshly fried and hot. That just kicked the spice level up. If you want to do a spice challenge, go here and try the spiciest options.

I had Nashville Coop on my bucket list for a while now and living nearby meant that I would constantly pass by but never found the time to see what's up. Fast forward to now, what I really appreciate about this place is that their spices are dried and it's shaken on the chicken strips after having been fried! That's what makes it so unique and enjoyable. The Nashville prepared protein reminded me of Canes but with a spicy dehydrated chili seasoning that sets it apart. The fries reminded me that of Popeyes in the sense that the potatoes were seasoned/battered before fried and allowed for a crunchy but tasty bite. One item that cannot be divorced from this meal is the spicy Mayo concoction that is included in the strip basket. Spice ratings -- I ordered the top two heat levels and for me, the clicking hot is very much spicy, but with a very distinct kick to it. Its bearable but most definitely will kick your butt! The growlin' heat level would be the more popular order because its slightly milder, but still very hot! Nonetheless, the sliced pickles as seen in the photos serve a true purpose in this meal and pairs so well with the earthy Nashville spice. I'm old-fashion at heart, so a pickle spear would've been the optimal option. This place is a small nook near the UofM's campus next to Noodles and Company. I honestly have no idea whether the franchise itself offers parking but you can find street parking a block before. A good place to grab some food on the go! Above all, I love the variety in having a spicy chicken strip option to Canes & they will be seeing me again! Food: 5 Unique Spice: 5 Service: Normal Space: Tight Overall 4.5/5

Not sure what's going on with the reviews here but this place is bombbb. IT'S A MUST VISIT! This place actually follows the heat level so if you pick hot or painful, it's going to be spicy! The heat & spices just work together, I love it when you can still taste the spices through the heat. Theres a nice smokey taste to it. They also give you coop sauce on the side which makes it 100x BETTER. I always order the sandwiches with some Mac and cheese on the side. It's the perfect duo omg. The service is always great but the place is pretty small. They are working with what they have but that shouldn't stop you from visiting! :)

We came here while in town for a few days and i needed something spicy to eat. I got the chicken sandwich that came with two big tenders seasoned in the hot heat level and boy it was hot. It's a dry rub seasoning not wet btw and comes with a side of coop sauce, coleslaw and pickles. We also tried the Mac n cheese which also had a mild spice to it. Food came quick and the portion size is big for two people to share. Wish they had more menu options beside tenders and a chicken sandwich but other than that it was good.

Dry, tough, chicken and wet, soggy, greasy, fries. Someone else very kindly paid for my meal, and it still cost too much. No thanks.

It appears to be a remolded garage because you enter through a garage door, of which there are two, one open and one closed. I am greeted warmly by the employee behind the counter and he takes my order. I then grab a seat and wait for my order. The menu is pretty basic and I went with 2 tenders, waffles, and fries. I am brought my order and once again the employee is gracious and friendly. The tenders were hot, juicy, and seasoned well. These weren't frozen tenders but made fresh, or if they were frozen you couldn't tell but I do believe that they are fresh. The fries were waffle fries and they were good as well. Good quality and fried perfectly. It also came with 2 sides of sauces which turned out to be Fred's house sauce which was decent, as well as a side of hot sauce which was vinegary just like Crystal's or Louisiana hot sauce. Now it seemed to me to be missing some syrup to go with the waffle. That is the appeal of chicken and waffles, to have the savory chicken along with the sweetness of the syrup and waffles. Oh the waffle, where do I begin? It was dry, tasteless, and barely room temperature. Frozen Eggo waffles would have been a step or two above these. The waffle really was a disappointment, especially in light of how good the tenders and waffle fries were. I would really suggest to the owner to invest in a waffle maker and make fresh waffles. Or at the very least get better quality frozen waffles like even Eggo Waffles. And don't get too cheap with the syrup. No one expects real maple syrup but an inexpensive one will work especially if you have a decent waffle. Fred's Chicken 'N' Waffles has the opportunity to be so much better if they upgrade the waffles.

The menu just says "smoothie" with no description, but ordered it anyone. Dude grabbed an already prepared one from a cooler behind the counter. I'd say it was mango, lots of yogurt. It was a little odd with the texture too, wouldn't recommend. Nothing special here. I highly recommend Dave's Hot Chicken. Or Nashville Coop.

Baarakallah is set back from the street and tucked inside a corridor that is shared by a Halaal grocery shop. Once you arrive inside, the clientele may observe you but it's fine. The server at the front is approachable and can describe the dishes and is very prompt with service. And the food is spicy yet balanced, savory but not over seasoned. The prices are very affordable for the amount of food you get! We were very happy with the beef over rice and the samosa style pastries. Great food and a unique experience.

Most importantly, they had the menu of the previous restaurant still up - a Mediterranean place it looked like - and the woman in charge said they could make Somali versions of most of that. So I asked for a chicken sandwich using the Somali stewed chicken and my partner got the chicken stew plate (suqar I think). Both were delightful, and the Somali-styled black tea was deliciously like a chai tea. Highly recommend.

For beverages, they have cocktails, mocktails, wine, beer, THC drinks, milkshakes, pop, lemonade, and more! There are so many options which is great! The fries are crispy! One of my friends went with the ranch fries which were good, but in my opinion it was not worth the $2 upcharge for the amount of seasoning that comes on them. I would recommend sticking with the regular fries and ordering a side of ranch as a dipping sauce instead! This is the only place that I'm aware of where you can get a vegan juicy lucy! It is very cheesy, and it's fun that there's a meatless version of a MN classic! It was messy to eat though so make sure to have a napkin nearby! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and would go back! I think it's be a great place for hanging out with friends, especially if there are any vegans or vegetarians in the group!
