Food was very good, fresh. Our server Fatima was very polite and her suggestions were perfect. Everything she suggested was so tasty. Would love to go back again.

Amazing Pakistani food that really hits the spot. Highly highly recommend if you are in search of flavorful food with amazing service. They buffet on certain days as well. Perfect variety if you feel like trying a little bit of everything. Don't miss out!

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with Cafe de Khan has left me no choice. I ordered two biryanis, expecting a proper, flavorful dish, but what I received was *not* biryani. Instead, they served some random mix of rice and chicken curry thrown together. This was extremely disappointing. If they didn't have biryani, they could have simply said so, instead of trying to pass off something subpar as the real thing. The least they could do is show some honesty and respect for their customers. I won't be ordering from here again.

The best Pakistani food in DFW - and an amazing lunch buffet spread -just $13 for weekdays. Clean place and has not yet been discovered by the Desi's of DFW yet. So not busy during the week. I am sure that will change soon. The spread was so huge that I could try only half the dishes - will be back again in the next couple of days to try the rest. Decent selection for vegetarians as well...

Butter Chicken was not good and separated

My husband and I enjoy eating Indian and Mediterranean food, and use to eat Breezeway Cafe frequently, but sadly it closed. So we gave this restaurant a try. I have never had Butter Chicken served like this to me before. It was completely separated, greasy, and I just got a mouthful of butter. My husband's goat dish was tough and insipid. You also have to buy rice? Every restaurant we have been to, there is rice on the side, especially for the price of the dish. We also had to wait an unusually long time for two meals, when there was only another couple there just drinking coffee. We will not return.

    Chicken Tikka

Really disappointing. Poor quality of food. Poor ambiance. We went because of the memories of Cafe De Khan in Pakistan. It's a waste of time and money. I asked for chicken tikka and paratha. Instead of puri paratha he brought the usual paratha. Chicken tikka was burnt. My friends recommended not to go but I thought I would give it a chance. My whole evening was wasted.

The lunch buffet does not exist. This coupon is a lie.

I follow the chef/owner on Instagram (@kafibbq), and the amount of effort and detail he puts into his craft has resulted in multiple return visits for me. This review is for my latest visit. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Kafi BBQ can be found in a shopping strip in Irving-Valley Ranch. Only opened Friday - Sunday, on my most recent Sunday visit around dinner time, Kafi was packed. The patrons were a great mix of families, BBQ lovers, and those looking for high quality Halal meats. Smoke was in the air. 1 Star. Service - The staff is super friendly and nice. Pro Tip - Go for lunch or before 6 before items are sold out. A few items were sold out on my most recent visit (my fault I arrived at 6:45) and the staff weren't aware of what was available, leading to some confusion, but they were so nice it didn't impact my meal. 1 Star. Food - By now, you've probably read or heard about Kafi's Wagyu Brisket. For me, I love following @kafibbq on Instagram so I can see what Salahodeen is cooking up. On this visit, it was the Brisket Sandwich. First off, the house baked bread roll is soft, but firm enough to hold Kafi's famous brisket on a pile of home made cole slaw and pickles. The result was one of the best BBQ sandwiches I've eaten. The bite was soft, smokey, crunchy, and tart (from the pickles). It was a special, and I'm not sure if Kafi will keep this on the menu, but I hope they do. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. It's pricey, but it's worth it. While the brisket is great, I suggest you follow them on Instagram to see what's cooking and plan your visit around the specialty items. 1 Star.

We ate pretty early around 5pm, and it was very empty, which was nice because it meant our food came fast. We tried the chicken shawarma bowl and the beef shawarma bowls. The food tasted delicious, but did seem a little less fresh, like maybe it had been sitting for a while, which would make sense because it wasn't exactly prime dinner hour yet, so maybe perhaps left from lunch? Either way, the portions were great, enough to take home leftovers. And the flavor of the meat was superb. They were so warm and kind to our family, especially our two year old. I appreciated the thoughtful touches the staff added to make our dining experience special. It definitely gave the cozy feeling of a mom and pop diner but mediterranean style! I loved it. We will definitely be coming back.

I came in for the soft opening after weeks of renovations, and while the name and menu are the same, everything else is not. This is not the same restaurant. If you knew the original owner, you would know he created something special. It felt like you were being welcomed into his home. He took pride in the food and in making sure every customer felt well cared for. Appetizers always came out first with some friendly conversation, and you could feel the care he put into every detail. That experience is gone. First, I waited 30+ minutes for a dish that normally takes 15, even on a busy night. When I left, a couple who had ordered before me were still waiting for their wraps! Second, the food has changed. The chicken shawarma and gyro recipes are different, and the gyro was actually cold. The sauces, which used to be the highlight, are not the same. The red sauce is gone, and the garlic sauce tastes different. The rice is different. The salad is now a small pile of romaine, onion, cucumber, black olives, and corn with no dressing. Overall, the new recipes feel like a massive downgrade from the original recipes. Lastly, I told the host I would be dining inside, but my food was served in plastic containers. Meanwhile, a nearby group that appeared to be staff or family was served plated food that looked noticeably fresher and better prepared. It honestly felt like their food was prioritized over paying customers, which may have explained the delays. The menu photos have not changed, but they no longer reflect what is actually being served. That feels misleading, especially for customers like me who were excited for the reopening. Very disappointing.
