The food quality is excellent, but unfortunately my experience at the front counter was disappointing. The Pakistani woman who appears to be in charge was rude and came across as unprofessional. Her tone toward customers felt disrespectful and made the interaction uncomfortable. I hope this is addressed, as a more courteous and respectful attitude toward both staff and customers would greatly improve the overall experience. read more

This place came highly recommended by one of our clients and we were so glad we went there. It's like a hole in the wall kinda place that serves some delicious food. Their service was excellent. We ordered their goat karahi, which wasn't as great as we thought it would be, but their pomfret fish masala with the ulta tawa roti was excellent! It had a lot of masala/spice on it. It was a little spicy for my taste but I still thoroughly enjoyed every bite of it. We ordered their chai and for dessert they recommended their lab-e-shireen and both were excellent. We wanted to make another stop at the restaurant the next day before we left from Dallas but didn't get to on that part of town. Al Kabob is my go to restaurant for Indian / Pakistani food when visiting Dallas. The owner is always welcoming and makes solid recommendations. The food is consistently delicious and quality is top notch notch! This is one of the few restaurants where the food tastes like homemade food - not too oily or overly "heavy" (which is usually the case with this cuisine). There are a few tables for seating to seat 2-4 people on a table, and the ambiance is casual. Highly recommend! read more

From the outside you would think this was a hole in the wall, but you wouldn't want to walk past, walk right in! Located in a shopping center with clothing and electronic stores, this Indian restaurant does not disappoint. Order at the counter and they'll bring your food to the table to eat, you pay afterwards. The lamb dish was delicious and flavorful as well as the okra ( I LOVE okra) and it didn't disappoint. I discovered this place because of my mom! she once brought back some chicken biryani and it was is so good, I have then tried different items on their menu, their butter chicken so amazing I'm always so sad to finish it, as well as their club sandwich which is a great light meal, and doesn't leave you feeling gross afterwards!! love this place and will definitely be trying out more items in the future, Ps, I always call in and place an order in advance, they always have the food ready in no time! read more

This place was a nice surprise. I was planning at eating at the Birani place almost across the street however they were 30 minutes late to open and I didn't have time to wait. The surprise here is the food is not only better, I was able to feed 3 people for the same price as two across the street. Better food, more of it and less expensive. By the looks of it, you need to get there between 12:00 & 12:30 in order to avoid the lunch rush. Zero issues with this place, and the people are a lot friendlier. read more

This was the worst Indian restaurant ever. It took over 30 minutes to get a take out order. No others were in the restaurant. That was a red flag. We almost were going to cxl our order walked out. Finally we got it and some of it in the car. We all agreed it was awful. The kebabs were really dried up and no flavor. The garlic nan had no garlic flavor at all. And other dishes were tasteless. Good service hole in the wall restaurant. I love there Biriyani very worth it because they give you a large portion size for a cheap price. The Biriyani is extremely flavorful and spicy the rice grains are tender. They gave me 4 golf ball size of tender chicken in the biriyani. Ordered the dal and the palak paneer (spinach with homemade cheese). asked for both to be as mild as possible. The dal was very liquidy (good) but a bit too spicy for our taste. The palak was excellent. Great flavour. It came with a very long thin roti (a bit like Rumali roti). The roti was a nice complement to the sag. Looking for some curry pretty much, came here during lunch time. It was quite busy, lot of to go orders. There's only a few tables so seems more of a takeaway joint. Placed order at the counter and took a seat. We ordered the Beef Chapli Kabob, Haleem, Chicken Kadahi, Butter Naans and got Goat Biryani to go. Beef Patty - omG this is sooo tasty. It's just the right amount of spice and the marination is too good. Got some to go as well. Haleem - not a fan, this tasted completely different to the usual. Has a dal like texture and bitterness to it. Chicken Kadahi - very homestyle and delicious. Good flavour, not overly spicy but still good. I like spice, so the lady at the counter suggested this over the Butter Chicken which is meant to be a bit mlre sweeter and not spicy. Naans were good. Goat Biryani - good flavour, actually was pretty good. Just a little bit on the greasy side, lot of ghee or something. But tasty. Quantity - On the smaller side. The dishes were a lottle bigger than app size for the Chicken curry. The biryaninwas packed in a box which had compartments within, would make more sense for a flat box so you get more quantity.Ambience - Very casual and basic, definitely seems more of a to-go place. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you, but all the utensils and water you need to get yourself.Service - Service was not the best. There were only two people and it was a little slow. Keep in mind you can't bring your own drinks or water in here.Spice - 2-3/5 Not spicy but bery good flavours.Taste - Food was delicious, apart from the Haleem. The food is flavorful but sometimes they go a little extra on the oil (which you can request then to go easy on). I've been here multiple times and enjoy the food which I'd give a 4. However, where they lack SEVERELY is their kitchen organization which I would give a solid 1 hence the 3 star since I can't do a 2.5. For example, I once had to wait 45 min to get my food after I'd already called it in 20 min beforehand and they forgot an item an ordered. People who order after you get their food first, and without sounding like a broken record, are very disorganized. Other's have said it....poor customer service. HOWEVER, the joint was jumping with customers and they were just overwhelmed with orders. BE PREPARED TO WAIT AND WAIT AT LUNCH TIME. Regarding the food, it was good but a little salty to me (mixed veggies, chicken korma, and goat karahi), which is a very subjective opinion. The spice level was not overwhelming to my American palette. The regular naan will excellent as was the veggie samosa. But the tamarind chutney for the samosa was watery. The person at the register who I think is the owner was so rude and arrogant! Just the attitude and tone of his voice almost made me leave. I asked him what vegetables they have for the lunch platter and his response was 'whatever the ppl in the kitchen put on it'! Seriously? It is a tiny place with total 6 ppl working there and you do not know what's on the menu? And it took more than 20 min to get our food. In the end, I requsted 2 small bowls to go because I had liquidy curries left over. He looked annoyed and said he might be be to give me 1 and not 2. The owner-chef lady was downright insulting and cruel with regards to her behavior while dealing with me. I will never go back and spend my hard earned money here no matter how their food is. This is the US, people have the obligation to be polite at their business place. Going forwards I will share my experience with everyone I know, and at every venue possible.
