What a cute spot in Indiana! I don't usually get sugary coffee drinks but the chocolate orange latte (I can't remember the name) intrigued me so I gave it a whirl. It was delicious. There's just something about the chocolate and orange combination that seems odd but really works. My nephew got the chai latte and really enjoyed it. Ample seating. Some really cute, cozy spots. It'd be a great spot for a coffee date. They had some bakery items but nothing gluten free so that was a little bit of a bummer but not something that would prevent me from coming back. read more

Between the ambiance, friendly service, and in house roasted beans it's easy to say that this is the best cafe I have ever been to, by far. I'm an espresso snob from Philadelphia, and I've tried every coffee shop/cafe in the city and only a handful of them pulled a decent shot. The ambiance here is immaculate; and the service is amazing. This place puts Starbucks to shame, the contrast between the stark sterile environment at those chains and a place like this is glaring. There really is something about a mom/pop/family owned and operated business that you can't get other places, but they even exceed that here. To me nothing beats a heart felt greeting and caring service with attention to start your day as opposed to being treated like a number and onto the next one at any chain you'd go to. Would recommend anyone staying in or visiting Indiana try this place. P.s Don't even get me started on the homemade with love pastries served here that aren't loaded with fake sugars, flavors and god knows what other compounds that shouldn't even be legal to serve that are dished out at other places these days. We are in Indiana, PA for Christmas again. This is my 2nd time here, so we decided to explore the town before we leave. It was a very nice getaway from big cities like New York and Philadelphia, where I grew up. I was so happy to discover this gem in the town. My boyfriend and I have always loved cute cafes with nice selections and cute interior decor. We really enjoyed the Polar Bear latte and the hot cider. We both ordered large without knowing it was going to be HUGE latte mugs. The large size here is very different than the large size in Philadelphia. We were happily surprised. This is my favorite cafe that I've ever been to for a variety of reasons. They have amazing cakes, tarts, and other sweets, mostly of central European background. There aren't many places I've encountered that make some of these desserts and they make them very well. They have equally well made coffee (I like getting the black & gold) and a large variety of teas, some of which I've recognized as good quality loose leaf tea that I've purchased for myself before. I like that you are served on a platter and that they include water to cleanse your palate after finishing your coffee. I really like the atmosphere of the place too. It's a place where you sit, relax, and take your time instead of conforming to the on-the-go vibe you get with a lot of coffee shops nowadays. There's a large seating area with opportunities to sit by the window or by a decorative fish tank or anything else. This place is decorate how I would decorate if I had a coffee shop. I don't live in Indiana, or even Pennsylvania, so the worst part about this being my favorite coffee shop is that I don't get to come often. However anytime I visit my mother who lives in the area, coming here is on the top of my list to do in this small town. read more

She loved the atmosphere and the books--and the Frappedeus iced coffee smoothie was incredibly delicious and refreshing on a hot Sunday afternoon. This place is adorable. The decor and things come off a bit tacky but, I saw photos prior to my arrival so I wasn't in shock. I had no idea what to order as they had so many wonderful choices. They give you a shot of water which threw me off but it's to cleanse your palate prior to drinking your coffee. Very comfortable seating available throughout, lots of things to do, such as read from their selection or play games. Relaxing music. Espresso drinks are rich and sweet, beautiful latte art. Lots of options, so be ready before you get to the front. Only two employees at a time, and lots of people love coming on weekends, so be there early! But it really is worth the price, they give you a tin tray with your drink on it (if you choose for here), along with water shots. Which is genius, because coffee can be dehydrating. Just like I would take the Coventry Inn back home to eat at, I would happily transport Caffe Amadeus as well. They have managed to achieve what I find lacking in so many cafes in San Francisco: locally owned, extremely friendly, handcrafted lattes (really, they are award winning foam artists), inexpensive, free Wifi with purchase, uncrowded tables on which to put your laptop and books, decor that I can't quite describe (Salzburg meets indoor fountain meets living room), and a really comfortable, unpretentious vibe. Their attention to detail is seen in how your drink is served if you drink it there: they place your carefully brewed beverage on an small, antique style, silver tray, and give you a tiny tumbler of cold water, almost like a chaser. Amadeus hands down makes the best cake in Indiana. Their Eastern European recipes are mouthwatering. Especially their farmers cheesecake and Belgian chocolate cake.
