Seriously tended coffee, absolutey fine breakfast and the best place for people watching port-side.

The food here was tourist good, not spicy or very seasoned but still good for different taste palates. The quesadillas had authentic fresh made tortillas, the bread taste very fresh. The pico they serve with the dishes was very good. The only issue we had was with the yogurt and granola. Me and my dining partner both ordered this, hers was thick and firm like fresh yogurt should be, mine was extremely watery like it had set out or was not mixed prior to scooping. My yogurt was watery like milk. The server addressed our issues properly by removing the watery yogurt and we just shared the bowl my partner had.

If you come to a spot like this and give it two stars because you didnt get enough foam in your coffee...well...you sort of missed a few things. Guess you can get great foam at your cancun mega-hotel. If you stopped here you were looking for authentic, and you found it! Relax, sit back, enjoy the passer bys, the bikes, and of course the food. Nice breakfast spot with good food. Had the "divirced eggs" and muteleños...both very good.

Such a great coffee shop / breakfast spot! We have come here most mornings for coffee, fresh juices and smoothies, and breakfast. They also have delicious cheesecakes and baked goods. It is always quite busy here. The service is great but a little slow - so make sure you have plenty of time!

Nice breakfast my favorites are the motuleños. Good hot beverages. Close by the ocean at the center of Puerto Morelos.

Excellent location on the plaza, matched by delicious food and wonderful staff. This is the go to spot for coffee, breakfast, and people watching while in Puerto Morelos. I had the Motulenos - what an amazing combination of flavors.

Right in the heart of downtown this quaint coffee shop and breakfast nook offered a variety of tasty breakfast options (including both savory and sweet pastries and cakes). The coffee menu was one of the longer ones I have seen in the town and the orange juice was freshly squeezed! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Take a seat and sip awhile. This is one of the best locations in the Town Square to watch and be watched. With only a handful of tables and chairs, you will be lucky to get a seat. However, take a drink to go and go across the street into the square. The service is friendly. The menu is full of coffee shop beverages with your choice of milk and milk-like products: soy. Pair your drink with a sweet treat: croissant, bagel, cake, nutella, butter. The carrot cake is not like a cake, but like carrot cake bread; there is no frosting.

I read the reviews for this place and thought the coffee drinks would be great- nah. No foam whatsoever. Disappointing.

5: Drink/Tea/Coffee 5: Food…read more 5: Service 5: Ambiance Any place that serves soy milk in their cappuccino and latte (in a foreign country), is already on my good side. That's actually how I found them in May, the last time I was here. Cappuccino was delish while croissant and other baked goods had me coming back for more as well. They do breakfast marvelously, creating some breads and brownies in their own bakery and selling other bakery's dream items as well. All the breads fresh, moist and ready to unravel and shove, oops I meant "put" in your mouth and enjoy: Apple Cinnamon Bread, Triple Chocolate Brownies, Zucchini Bread, Bread, Chocolate Zucchini Loaf, Pecan Brownie Bars, Marbled Slices with Pecan, Honey and Chocolate Bread, Banana Bread, 7 Grains, and Stoneground loafs. Let's not forget, one of my favorites, their croissant. They've got them available with ham or turkey and cheese as well. Or plain and slightly heated up if you like. As I enjoyed breakfast one morning, the dinner menu was displayed to me by one of the owners. A boyfriend and girlfriend own and operate this place, while their daughters help with waiting on the customers. I see Bolognese on the menu! My boyfriend goes crazy for this dish, no matter what country we are in. Like an obedient customer, I returned. Fresh butchered and local beef meatballs atop their penne style pasta was a win for the boyfriend! Score! I ordered the soup of the day, which was called "Carrot Soup", but resembled more Queso/Cheese than carrot. This must have been their French Canadian influence, and I was actually quite fond of it. I also ordered the La Amorcita salad without the bacon. It was sensational! Fresh lettuce, avocado, cranberries, goat cheese, olives, bell peppers, tomatoes and dressing. Delisciousa! I was so happy to have found a healthy meal in such a little remote beach town! Yes! This is obviously, by far one of my favorite places to dine in Puerto Morelos. It is cozy and intimate to dine at, with some of the seating under their red awning and other seats toward the road in the sun. There is a leather couch even to relax and read a book or magazine if you like, while you sip your coffee. You can't miss them with their red awning, two doors down from Hotel Posado Del Moro. Say "Hi" to Sylvia and Miguel if you stop by. Would I return to El Bistro? Oh yes, most definitely! Bon Apetit!

It truly is like eating at grandma's house. The decor is vibrant, but the overall vibe is cozy. The service is great, though the seating area did get warm (and we were there in the morning). The food portions are plentiful, and the menu is huge. We just didn't find the food had much flavor to it (which, again, completely subjective). My partner had the chilaquiles (soggy style) which were drowned in a beautifully colored chocolate mole and topped with plenty of tender, shredded chicken. I had the breakfast bagel, which came with lettuce, tomato, and onion, as well as cheese, egg, and bacon (probably why I found the food to be less than seasoned - admittedly it's a simple dish). And, we shared an order or molletes naturales - beans and cheese on a bolillo. Overall the food was good, don't get me wrong, but perhaps due to the nature of the dishes there simply just wasn't enough room for more flavor. I'd return to try their other stuff, because the portions were big, the way the food was cooked was great, and the service was friendly. But in the end, we found it to be just good, nothing mind blowing. Your experience may vary!!!!
