Fantastic restaurant on the 2nd floor in Puerto Morelos down by the light house. Definitely make reservations early as the place is small or you'll find yourself eating at 9pm like us. We ordered the tasting menu which was the way to go. Everything was delicious, flavorful and some dishes super unique. The only course I didn't love was the fish course but at no fault of the restaurant as it features a spice I am just not a fan of, was still cooked and plated nicely. Staff were friendly and attentive and was just an overall great experience. Would definitely come back!

Visiting again and had to go to lunch at Punta Corcho. This was our 5th visit in the last few years and it's still incredible. Definitely try the grilled octopus!

OMG! The shrimp soup and incredible salsa with bread and chips come with the meal--such a great start. The gorditas were amazing, and the snapper was absolutely divine

We had the most amazing experience at this restaurant. The food the service the atmosphere I can't say enough. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and the people were all so friendly. I believe there is nothing on this menu that you can go wrong with. From the amazing bread to the shrimp soup they serve you to an entree on the menu. The table side ceviche must husband said was the best he had ever had and can't stop talking about it. If you have the chance don't miss out on this amazing dinning experience. The cocktails don't disappoint either. The presentation the taste all above board. The only bad thing is we only got time this once as we stumbled upon it on our last night here but I couldn't have picked a better way to end our trip. Thank you to all the staff at Punta Corcho you blew us away!!!

I was celebrating a birthday in Puerto Morelos and we walked by Punta Corcho and saw that they were awarded a Michelin star. Reservations were made! This place was outstanding! Shrimp, polpo, sea bass, ceviche amongst many more beautiful bites and delicious cocktails. The atmosphere was stunning with a view overlooking the city center and the beach. The service was top notch and our evening ended with a delicious berry crumble and happy birthday playing over the speakers. This place was beautiful. Don't hesitate to dine here. It is a star in the sweet town!

To start, it can be a little tricky finding the place because it's upstairs... if you're walking from the plaza, go around the side and in between vendor shops you will see a narrow staircase that takes you up to Punta Corcho. Once inside, it gives modern seaside vibes. There are ocean views from one side of the restaurant and it has a sexy, dim lit atmosphere at night. We tried MANY of their Michelin star menu items. There wasn't a thing that we didn't like. Everything was great. It's definitely California restaurant pricing, however, it's Michelin rated so that makes sense. Our server was incredibly sweet, though he did seem a bit over worked as he appeared to be the only one that night. With that said, service was a bit slow but on vacation we can move a bit slower anyway. The stand out for us... was the drinks. They were all incredible. We would definitely return.

Pro-tip: the entrance is tucked away between all the vendors on the sidewalk (on the Chedraui side, not the side facing the town square). Gorgeous upstairs place with a beautiful view of the ocean and the town square. It's airy, breezy, and nicely decorated. The food itself is full of complexity and layers of flavor. Everything blends together to create exquisite and unique dishes. For one of the more expensive places in town, this is the one to go to. Dishes are perfectly seasoned. I had the fish filet with esquites and my partner had the soft shell crab tacos. My fish was cooked perfectly - not soggy, not undercooked, drowned in sauce but still edible. They bring you soft and deliciously warm rolls and blue corn hard tortillas before your meal, along with a few different salsas to put on your food as you like. We ordered some drinks as well - the mango summer (I think it was) and the Mai Tai. Both were delicious. Service was very attentive and very friendly; one of the more punctual places we've been to. The only thing I didn't care for is it felt like there weren't many options on the menu, but, again, this is one of the nicer places that is worth the price in PM!!

Beautiful restaurant, decent food. The soft shell crab tacos were really flavorful and I would recommend. Wanted to love the grilled fish but we had better elsewhere. It was good just didn't blow me away. The octopus and shrimp pizza was an interesting idea and actually turned out to be pretty tasty! The service was okay and the staff was knowledgeable about the food. Definitely a safe bet coming here but nothing crazy.

We were in town on vacation and went out for dinner. We looked on Yelp while walking around and find this amazing restaurant. It was perfect right upstairs on the corner overlooking the ocean at sunset. The food was delicious! I had the soft shell crab tacos and OMG!! There cocktails were amazing as well one of the best smoky pineapple margaritas I've ever had. My family all enjoyed their food especially the grilled octopus. Make sure you leave room for dessert. The strawberry crumble was to die for and the chocolate lava cake. Above all the service was impeccable. If you are planning to go you may want to make a reservation. It's small and gets packed. Well worth the $. If we are ever in that area again we will definitely go again.

Our server did the whole "sell you the bottle" trick but backed down when I chuckled at him about the cost of the crap bottles they were selling. After that, it was smooth sailing and a nice time. He did a great job Inside it seems to be "Frenchy", but it does seem like it's a bit of a stretch. There are paintings depicting French scenes, but frankly you could put pics of French fries up and I would not care. The lighting was cool. The apps were great and I loved them all! Very tasty bites indeed. The soufflé looked burnt but was very good when you got into it. Escargot were tasty as well and the French onion soup was amazing! Real butter for the bread and I am in love. Entrees were just ok. C ate very little of hers, but I liked hers way more than mine. I had the Duck and it wasn't the best, but it's a gamble with Duck sometimes I guess. We were so full we did not even look at dessert when the time came. Overall, nice meal and a good time! Very nice atmosphere and vibe Great music, perfect volume Decor and ambiance Covid precautions Food Service Overall, no complaints what soever. It was everything you'd expect from a fine French restaurant without feeling like you're around a bunch of snobs. Lots of choices, from what we had, we were delighted. About 5-6 choices for appetizers, a bunch of entrees and a couple deserts. There were a few duck (confict and breast) dishes, lamb, beef, pork, salmon, to chose from. They have vegetarian and gluten free options too. If you're considering this place for dinner, just go for it. Try something you might otherwise not order. The food and service here is also mediocre. I am European so I guess I have a slightly more refined palate for this food than your average visitor to this resort and a number of the items on the menu I grew up making myself. Quiche Lorraine - Soggy crust instead of the flakey crust it's supposed to and filled with lot's of large lumps of un-rendered fat that was supposed to be Bacon. Traditional Quiche Lorraine had the Fat removed from the bacon before cooking and then adding to the filling mixture. Both my Husband and I were so disgusted we didn't eat more than a couple of bites. Rack of Lamb - More bone than anything and part of my Husbands meal was simply a bone stripped bare placed on his plate. Wth? Again lot's of un-rendered fat and very little flavor. The potatoes also tasted of dirt. Creme Brulee - One of the worst I have had to be honest. This is one of my signature desserts of which both my Husband and I were really looking forward to. The top seemed to have a later of grease on and the sugar was neither thick nor bulee'd enough yet somehow tasted incredibly burnt. I think it was the weird oil on top. The creme itself was not thick enough, it was more like a child's pudding cup with barely any flavor. We also ordered Wine with our meal to which I found a fruit fly floating in it. We waited for our server to return and pointed it out to which the server didn't even apologize, just asked ''So you want another one?'' I think they must leave the bottles uncorked for this to happen so be wary and maybe ask for it to be opened at your table like any fine dining restaurant should do. Overall definitely not the romantic Anniversary dinner we wanted and we both left still hungry and thinking we would have been better off with room service or the Buffet.

His style is contemporary gourmet Mexican fusion with fresh local ingredients. Some say this is as good as it gets, with comments like: "the best food I've ever tasted". Sounds pretty good, huh? I looked at the menu and it was roast duck with sauces, roasted pork, New York Steak, seafood and the like. Contemporary gourmet dishes and looked like a French influence. They say the menu changes weekly. The prices were pretty reasonable if this is the bomb, on a par with regular-priced fine dining in the U.S. The inside is nice but not formal, but the food is where it's at. I heard John Gray himself is recently "no longer there" and I assume he passed away because his wife (I think) carries on the legacy. I've seen a night picture and the building front is all lit up and looks really nice. To me the building looked like a house that was converted into a restaurant. Since we were here around noon as they were setting up for the evening, we didn't get to indulge and never made it back. We had to settle for shrimp cocktail and whole fried schnapper in town overlooking the Puerto Morelos town square, which was excellent all the same. I vow to make it back here.
