I visited this cafe with a group of three, and we all tried different dishes that were absolutely delicious! The menu offers a nice mix of Mexican and American options, and it seems like they've mastered both cuisines. The drinks were a standout for me--they were freshly crafted and came out quickly once we were seated. I tried their horchata espresso, which was perfectly balanced and such a unique treat. As for the food, everything was fresh and flavorful. I had the Avocado toast. My friends got pancakes with different style eggs. he pancakes had just the right texture, and the avocado toast had a tangy sauce that added a great touch. Very likable cafe for breakfast or lunch. Went twice and tried different things - they feature both Mexican and American food, and seem to have a good handle on both. Plus, their coffee is very good. Starving the second visit so I went with the pancakes, eggs, steak and fruit. Didn't even do coffee this time, as I had come pre-caffeinated. I ordered the eggs poached, as I often do when also having pancakes. Happily, the poached eggs were perfect, allowing them to cascade down the side of some of the pancakes. The pancakes themselves had a good bounce to them, but were not rubbery. In fact, they had an enviable balance of soft yet still solid and just thick enough. The steak was good -- a bit more gristly than my earlier visit (in a different dish). The fruit was fresh and refreshing. The first visit I enjoyed the coffee, then a Mexican dish. Rancheros with Flank Steak strips. This was served with scrambled eggs, and is another hearty and utterly tasty entree. The steak strips were nicely seasoned and easily to cut through and chew. I also really liked this dish. We tried the banana bread on our second visit. It was OK, if a bit dry. Came here for the second time after 3 years because we really loved it the first time around. This time it sucked. The food was okay but the employees were not that great. You'd think the customer is always right in this instance but no not here. I got the chilaquiles but on the menu it didn't not say it had sour cream. I don't like sour cream when they brought it out and I told them the guy just said let me tell the chef if we can change it. Came back and said no that he would have to make a whole new one. What if I was allergic? I don't know stuff like that just left me super upset not only was I trying to take off the sour cream I was forced to eat it , cause what else? What I supposed to not eat? I found this place while searching for breakfast/lunch locations on Yelp. I saw they had an horchata espresso (two of my favorite things) so I knew I had to try this place. The horchata espresso was very good. I thought it was more on the horchata side than the espresso side in terms of taste, but to someone who doesn't drink coffee (my father), the espresso was very noticeable. I ordered the avocado toast and it was really delicious. The multigrain bread wasn't hard like a sourdough bread would be so it was very easy to bite into. The sauce wasn't too spicy and added a tang to the avocado toast. The handful of fries was also a nice touch! We had to wait a bit for our food to arrive because it was busy, and the location is small, but I definitely recommend checking it out. read more

The food is the star of the show. The menu offers a huge variety even the most picky eater in your group can find something here. I ordered: Chilaquiles - this is so authentic tasting, the black beans was flavorful, the salsa is fresh, eggs properly cooked. I like my tortillas to be slightly soft after soaking up all the good sauce. Cafe America- fresh and strong. Come here and you will not be disappointed. Visited Que Huevos while on vacation in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Looked it up via Google and Yelp and the reviews and pictures looked good. I had the French Toast with eggs and bacon the first visit. Then the Mega Breakfast (Pancakes, eggs, black beans, flank steak, and fruit cup). Food was very tasty. I will start with the one thing that made me deduct a star. The eggs were not prepared the way I asked for them. I asked for eggs scrambled soft. The first time they were brown. When they were re-cooked they were better. The next day the same thing happened. I was disappointed especially because the name of the restaurant is Que HUEVOS. You can't mess up the huevos when it is your name. Now for the the good stuff. That French Toast was beyond amazing. The flavor, the texture, the crispy outer texture and the perfectly cooked inner texture. All I can say is WOW. The bacon was crispy and good. Wish there was more. The flank speak was tender and flavorful and cooked just right. I could cut it with my fork. The black beans would have been good on their own. They complimented the meal perfectly. The Pancakes were good, they had a hint of cinnamon and were fluffy. The fruit cup was fresh and juicy. All in all I enjoyed this spot. Had a late breakfast. Had the Huevos Motulenos, a Cafe Americano and Jugo Verde. The place is chic and comfortable and it's great for people watching. They have a set of anchored exercise bars right in front (a la Venice Beach). Some dude was showing off. The eggs has 2 very tough tortillas as the base, which is normal, but too tough to slice. The sauce simply lacked flavor. The Cafe Americano, hot but flavorless. My favorite: Jugo Verde by far. This restaurant is close to my hotel. My waitress suggested avocado toast which is pretty filling. It's served with black beans, fries and a hot sauce. I couldn't finish it. The coffee is good quality. While they don't have half and half, they gave me a side of milk. I asked for a coffee refill from a waitress that was going by. My waitress didn't come to check on me. I didn't get the refill so I got up to ask for it. One other waitress was nice to bring me a glass of water with ice. I didn't have to buy a bottle of water. Firstly, I'm from the Bay Area, CA and this is literally my first review of a restaurant ever. Just got back from visiting a friend for her birthday. We ate here 3/4 days for breakfast. Fortunately it's walking distance from where we stayed. The service is great and servers understand English. Pricing is fair at $10-18 per item. Lots of shaded outdoor seating to enjoy the weather and catch a breeze. The item to get is the huevos rancheros con arrachera (huevos rancheros with flank steak). Quite literally the best huevos rancheros I've ever had in my life. It's cooked in a small cast iron with the tortilla on the bottom, layered with black beans, 2 eggs over easy, sliced strips of perfectly grilled flank steak, and covered in an incredibly flavored red sauce. Of the 4 times that our group ordered the huevos rancheros, the eggs always came out perfectly over easy. Served with a small side of black beans and an orange salsa that's got enough heat to make you cough and sweat a little but not overpowering. The salsa is out of this world. I would've bought 10 bottles and brought it back home if I knew it wouldn't spoil. My only regret is that it was so delicious I didn't even take a picture. Either way, if you're in Playa del Carmen and you don't eat here, you've wasted your trip. 20/10. I will definitely dream of my breakfasts here until I return. #QueHuevos4Life read more

When we first got there I was disappointed since everything we asked for they were out of. Especially the Horchata Espresso, they ran out of Horchata. Then I asked for Tacos De Huevo with Longaniza but they were also out of that, they then told us they were also out of fresh fruit. Maybe our fault for getting there about 11:45am ..
