Variety of other drinks, knickknacks, treats

Located where I believe the Starbucks use to be in the discover mills now called sugarloaf mills mall, cafe amico opened up their second location. It's a cozy cafe, quite narrow but quite open too. There's a variety of menu drinks and items but what stood out to me was the "ho chi Minh coffee", which is essentially a latte version of the cafe sua da or Vietnamese ice coffee. I thought the name is a bold choice because of the divisive feelings towards the choice of name amongst locals and immigrants now living in the states. It could be received either way good/bad/ or confused. The barista did an excellent job of explaining to me this drink and how it's a spin on the Vietnamese coffee, giving examples of the flavor notes. It made me more curious so I gave it a shot. After trying it, I thought the same thing about the drink that I did the name of the drink. Confused, I like twists and spins on things, but call me a cafe sua da snob but this wasn't it, but I think it was my expectations that steered me here. Again the barista did a terrific job describing the drink and he nailed it on the flavor. Overall, I think cafe amico is a safe coffee shop. There's a variety of other drinks on the menu and if I'm visiting again I'll def. Try it again.

Was really thirsty and walked right by this place. It used to a Starbuck. Customer service was good. It's a cute little shop. I got a ocean Thai tea and it was good!

Absolutely LOVE this place! The staff is friendly, the store is very organized and clean, and their coffee is delicious! I typically go to Starbucks as it's so close to my home, but coffee drinks at Amico are definitely superior. Give it a try!

This coffee place was great. A hipster kind of vibe. Pretty chill. I went early in the morning.

The parking lot always seems to be packed, which is kind of annoying. I've only tried the chai so far, but it was very good. The pastries looked delicious too, and I'm looking forward to going back and trying a few of them. Not much else to say about the service. It was fine, exactly what you'd expect from a coffee shop. I'd come back. The atmosphere is probably the biggest reason. It feels a little different from most of the coffee shops around here. Edit: also it's 25 cent extra to order something iced, which I find a bit strange.

This cafe holds its own moody, navy interior while serving delicious drinks and foods, both sweet and savory, whether you're there in the morning or in the evening. Their black sesame latte has changed me. It's all that I want and I can't stop thinking about it. I got it hot with oat milk so it's creamy, nutty and it doesn't even feel like I'm drinking coffee - which can be dangerous. I got a second one to go before I left. I also had a croissant which is very reasonably priced at $3. I'm not much of a sweets person so depending on the next time I'm in, I'd be curious to try their croffle - I still haven't had one yet in general. Even if I'm not there for a dessert, I'm looking very forward to the next time I have an excuse to stop by this cafe.

The Second Level / Upper Floor is reserved for if you are going to be ordering/dining in for the pastas and/or savory foods. I only tried their coffee today on the first level. I did go upstairs to check it out and did see a bunch of people upstairs just sitting and chilling on their laptops with their coffees/drinks; so they may not really enforce their "reserved for pasta dining only" rule. Not sure. Ambiance (First Level / First Floor) - clean, nice, laid-back, chill, cool environment. Casual setting. Cool architecture, design, layout, and decor. Can get loud inside as ceilings are high and can get echo-y, especially if there are alot of people. Also, there is music constantly playing in background. Service (First Level / First Floor) - customer service was quick and straightforward. They were nice and polite. A+. No complaints here. Coffee (First Level / First Floor) - tried their "Korean Iced Coffee" for $7.25. It was one size only and one price at $7.25. It was delicious. Almost similar tasting to a Vietnamese coffee in my opinion (both are delicious). That strong, brewed coffee flavor with this delicious milky, sweetened condensed milk taste. I am not exactly sure if they used sweetened condensed milk in the Korean iced coffee, but it sure does taste similar to it. It's quite good. Also had a "Large Hazelnut Hot Coffee" with creamer for $5.95. It was okay. Total with tax for the two drinks was $13.99. Keep in mind that the WiFi is on your receipt as a QR Code at the bottom. So if you want to use the WiFi, ask for the receipt and/or keep the receipt so that you can scan the QR Code in order to use the WiFi. There was no password on the receipt, only a QR Code that you need to scan. Overall - Yes I would recommend this place for a nice little coffee stop. Check it out for yourself. Enjoy!
