The entrance was enchanting and whimsical next to El Pollito Loco. The location is convenient on the corner of Pine street with parking across the street. Once inside, I loved the vibe of Frida Kahlo's artistic roots with the beautiful art and sculptures- and the glass/ceramic dragons are so beautiful. I didn't mind waiting to order with so much to catch my eye. The staff was courteous and friendly; my order was taken quickly with about half of the tables full and a line of people. I ordered the Kahlo Special- blueberry, strawberry, and banana and pecans on top of pancakes with condensed milk and maple syrup. I also ordered the avocado toast and added an over medium egg on top. I had to get an iced coffee with oatmilk and caramel/vanilla. I ordered to go and my food was delicious once I sat down at home. We love Café de Frida! It's a favorite breakfast place and we always enjoy our meals. The Spanish lattes are delicious!

We had a wonderful lunch on Saturday. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were going to have a great experience. The young woman behind the counter was friendly and helpful. All of the patrons were smiling and having a great time. We felt welcomed. The place is small but efficient and filled with wonderful decor. My burrito was probably the best I have ever had. The shredded chicken was moist and expertly seasoned. The little container of soup was flavorful and yummy! My husband went more with brunch and had pancakes. Our mocha coffees were absolute amazing. His mocha was rich and chocolatey. My Mexican coffee had a great balance of cinnamon with a hint of cayenne. We are going back for sure read more

It was my first time in the area. Place was pretty busy on a Saturday morning. You have to wait to have a seat bc the dining area is small. You order at the front and pay right away. I had the green chilaquiles beans were good but salsa lacked flavor, I wish they would have asked me how I wanted my eggs cooked bc they were fried and well done. The orange juice was fresh I really like that. Overall experience was okay. I wasn't expecting a fast food order at the front and pay right away I wish it was more of a sit down restaurant but I guess since the place is limited to seating that's how it works best. read more

Very unique and delicious. I tried the burrito rojo, breakfast taco, and cold brew. It was all excellent. I will definitely be back. The service is also great. And there isn't really anything like Cafe de Frida in the Florence area. Main criticism is that there isn't a lot of seating. We didn't have any trouble sitting but we might have if they had been any busier. HIGHLY recommend. I will definitely be back. read more

Cashier messed up my order, not a problem, but they did not want to give me a refund on the things charged to my card that I did not order (I was not told what my total would be before they swiped my card). An adorable hidden gem. Rich, flavorful coffee and delicious breakfast options. I had a small Dirty Horchata. They only come iced- perfect for the Southern Heat. Smooth spiced coffee with a sweet cream over the top. I paired this with their Burrito Verde. Turkey, avocado, black beans, eggs, queso fresco, and mayo in a spinach wrap. It comes with salsa on the side, giving it an optional but welcome spice. Absolutely delicious. Portions are good for the prices - There's a good variety of options. Staff was prompt and welcoming and the cafe was absolutely spotless. It's a worthwhile stop for an early afternoon rest. read more
