We had a wonderful lunch on Saturday. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were going to have a great experience. The young woman behind the counter was friendly and helpful. All of the patrons were smiling and having a great time. We felt welcomed. The place is small but efficient and filled with wonderful decor. My burrito was probably the best I have ever had. The shredded chicken was moist and expertly seasoned. The little container of soup was flavorful and yummy! My husband went more with brunch and had pancakes. Our mocha coffees were absolute amazing. His mocha was rich and chocolatey. My Mexican coffee had a great balance of cinnamon with a hint of cayenne. We are going back for sure

Went in for breakfast and coffee for the second time. It is NOT a fluke. These people make an excellent Mexican breakfast. I highly recommend them!!

Fresh orange juice and green chilaquiles.

It was my first time in the area. Place was pretty busy on a Saturday morning. You have to wait to have a seat bc the dining area is small. You order at the front and pay right away. I had the green chilaquiles beans were good but salsa lacked flavor, I wish they would have asked me how I wanted my eggs cooked bc they were fried and well done. The orange juice was fresh I really like that. Overall experience was okay. I wasn't expecting a fast food order at the front and pay right away I wish it was more of a sit down restaurant but I guess since the place is limited to seating that's how it works best.

    Dirty horchata and breakfast burrito..

One of the best coffee/breakfast stops in the shoals. Unique food menu and tons of delicious coffee and shake drink options. Food is cooked fresh to order. You will love this place!

Fresh and delicious . Been here twice. Enjoyed the food each time. Can't wait to return.

Decor....avoided faces as best as I could.

The Strawberry banana crepes are killer good. I had the almond slivers options. Dirty Horchata iced coffee was very nice also. Nice ambiance. Great value. Order and pay at the counter, then they bring food / drinks to table.

Might be my favorite place in Florence! Absolute top notch chilaquiles (I got the divorciados) and tamales. Incredible flavors, excellent service, perfect ambiance. The best dirty chai I've had in a while. I already can't wait to go back.

And then the waitress was super friendly (like everyone we met in Florence). My wife had the ham po'boy which was grilled like a Cuban sandwich (yay!) and I had the fried shrimp po'boy. Both were excellent. For sides my wife chose a half grapefruit brûléed and I had marinated tomatoes. I remember having sugar on a half grapefruit as a kid, but bruleed? Epic! I loved the big wall in the front dining area-- half of a Cessna airplane on the wall, superimposed on a blueprint painting (see photo). Very creative. We'll be back!

We were then handed off to a very unpleasant and unhappy person by the name of Amiah. Did not say anything to us and did not even smile. I understand it was 0800 on a Saturday but it is your whole job. She tried to seat us at a table against the wall by the window. Any other day this would have been great but the table next to us had a gentleman that had his chair scooted back so there is no way we could have sat on the one side of the table, there was not enough room to get in there even if you were Olive Oyl from Popeye. When we asked to sit one table over she rolled her eyes and let out a big sign and begrudgingly moved us. Once sat we did have a good experience. Our server Rebecca was amazing even though she was spread a bit thin due amount of tables she had.

One of the quiet courtesies of the chain is that RVers are welcome to park overnight, with the understanding that it is not a campground. That means keeping generator use minimal, avoiding slide outs, and respecting the lot as a place to rest, not to camp. Even though we missed the main meals, we did step inside for sweets. Mrs. K. has a fondness for the lemon sticks, and while that is not much, it was something, and it honored the spirit of the arrangement. The next breakfast will be at another Cracker Barrel along our journey, and I suspect the biscuits and gravy will taste even better knowing we have kept the tradition alive. This stop was a reminder that sometimes the smallest gestures carry the weight of respect and community when traveling. [Review 1525 of 2025 - 251 in Alabama - 25075 overall]
