Wonderful cafe that I frequently go to for coffee. They make great cappuccinos which get with pistachio milk. Also have macadamia, almond, oat, and regular milk. It's in the Flannery Exchange which has some fun shops like Bobo's Stationery. Everyone who works there is super friendly. Shout out to Janna. She makes a genuinely fantastic matcha--smooth, balanced, actually tastes like matcha, and never like someone dumped green powder into milk and hoped for the best. It also is inside a building with multiple cute shops with little stationary, plants, bookmarks, etc. My drink was an iced dulce de leche w/ vanilla cold foam. What we ordered: * Lox & Bagel - It comes deconstructed so you build it yourself, which I actually liked. Everything tasted fresh and it was the perfect light breakfast. * Açaí Bowl - Really good! Loaded with fresh fruit, peanut butter, and very satisfying without being overly sweet. * Dani's Matcha Latte with vanilla cold foam - So good. Smooth, balanced, and one of my favorite drinks we had all weekend. * Coconut Matcha with coconut cold foam - Equally delicious and refreshing. I loved my iced churro latte with oat milk & my bf got the blueberry matcha, he said once you get the blueberry mixed in very well, which wasn't easy since we forgot to grab a straw before leaving but we made it work, once the drink was mixed he really liked it. don't usually give 1 stars but kinda disappointed in the staff and how they respond to customers. my bf n i are regulars here who order the SAME order every other week almost and enjoy it for the consistency but today was different. my bf went to pick up our usual matcha lemonade: drip coffee, simple order but he comes out with just lemonade. no problem! he goes back in to tell the barista but her first response is to tell my bf that he's wrong and the order is right he's mistaken. she then continued to tell my boyfriend it was the right drink and she was going to go check the receipt make sure it included the matcha. mistakes happen, totally understandable but i don't believe an employees first response without making sure beforehand is to tell the customer they're WRONG and then not to apologize after it's you who's wrong... i have matcha at home i could easily do it myself but if im PAYING for something and i don't receive it im going to ask for it? the approach was rude & could've been a simple "let me remake that for you i apologize" especially when we are polite about it. i'll be including our receipt just to further prove my point lol read more

My husband and I went here two days in a row because we were really impressed! There is limited street parking in the front, but not difficult to find street parking nearby. Super cute restaurant! When we went on Saturday morning, the line was long and wrapped all the way around. We probably waited 30 minutes in line. We noticed when we were almost in front to order that we can order online. My husband put in the order for the food online so we wouldn't wait too long. I ordered matcha at the counter. Matcha & the food came out at the same time thankfully. There is unfortunately only one table that's near an outlet, so plan accordingly if you expect to be there for a long time and need to charge your devices. I tried out their cardamon latte and really liked how prominent the cardamon flavor was. The drink wasn't overly sweet either. While I didn't personally order any food, Café La Jefa offers a small breakfast and lunch menu with an assortment of toasts, salads, and bowls. Ordering is at the counter, you're given a number, and food is brought over to your table. The line inside for food and drinks never seemed to die down, so you may end up waiting a while to order. What ever you do don't leave without trying the gluten-free cookie it is to die for! I came here to celebrate my birthday with coffee and Jana made it so special by writing the sweetest birthday message on my cup. It completely made my day! I was on the go so opted out of getting them but the barista did offer to sub it. This café uses Sisters Coffee beans and they absolutely nailed our drinks. We also got two pastries, a spinach and feta pastry and a cheese danish that were on point. I loved the branding and decor, it had a very relaxed and pretty vibe with all of the pink flowers and greenery. The most surprising thing to me is that they managed to pull all of this off, the great coffee drinks, the nice pastries, the pretty vibe and the killer Location, right in the middle of downtown Palm Springs, without being overpriced. At least inside, it's not. There was quite a long line and ordering took a really long time. There are two different spots to get coffee which made it a bit confusing as to where to go when you enter. There's plenty of seating but is quite crammed. I ordered the chai-chata, it was pretty good. But tasted more like milk than anything unfortunately. The chilaquiles were good, a bit too acidic but it was fine. This place is conveniently located near the Shag Store. Decor was sweet and fun. Barista was helpful in deciding what I wanted. I got the Fresas con crema. Strawberry latte with strawberry cold foam. It was so good. I always add Splenda to my coffee but this was so good I didn't add it. They had a case full of different healthy snacks and we picked up a few but the star was the pistachio and chia one. I dream of going back and getting it again. This mid-century modern space came up on our radar as we saw the pink chairs and flowers festooned on their terrace. The cafe appears to be the centerpiece of a retail workspace called the Flannery Exchange. They describe themselves as a "Latin-influenced modern coffee house" though for breakfast, I think that might've come down to their breakfast burrito and dulce de leche French toast. I was more drawn to the $18 Shakshuka, a decidedly Middle Eastern favorite with fried eggs, tomato, onion, peppers, and a spicy tomato sauce (Photo 7). Flanked by wedges of rustic sourdough toast, it was quite flavorful, but a bit pricey for the quantity. Jamie wasn't as hungry and ordered the $5 side of Two Scrambled Eggs, quite fluffy and a relative bargain compared to my dish (Photo 8). We both had the $5 16-ounce Cafe au Laits to wet our whistles, and those hit the spot accurately (Photo 6).
