I had high expectations after hearing someone say their matcha changed their life and seeing the line out the door made it seem like it was the only cafe in town. It was very hot and the wait was an hour. They had an electrolyte cart available for people in line. The space is large and open, but the wooden tables and seating weren't comfortable. The tables were also so big I had to yell to have a conversation with my friends. As for the drinks, they were creative and unique. The matcha leaned more on the bitter side, and in the strawberry matcha, I could barely taste the matcha itself. It was still yummy and refreshing. It's an interesting spot to try, but I think OC has better places for matcha. read more

I really like the staff and vibe of this place. I got the MUSCOVADO MATCHA LATTE and although a unique flavor combination I don't think it worked. The muscovado which is similar to brown sugar molasses flavoring was too strong you couldn't taste any matcha. It's also hard to mix and get it altogether. Quality coffee in Palm Springs! Parking is easy, there's an adjacent parking lot. Really big space inside and lots of areas for seating. Lots of people working on laptops. I asked what the most popular thing to get here is. She said the Pablo latte was the most popular specialty latte, so I went with that one as that happened to be the one I was eyeing. I got it was almond milk. The Pablo latte has cinnamon and clove in it, and the presentation was stunning! At first it was a little too sweet for my liking but I let them know and they happily remade me one less sweet. I really appreciated them doing that with no sass whatsoever. It's on the pricey end, my latte cost me about $9, but at least it's a good quality drink, a good space, and friendly staff. read more

Super strong and creamy matcha! I got the normal matcha latte with oat milk and it did not disappoint. They use Rocky's matcha btw! It has a super big interior with a bunch of seating and the cashiers were all super patient despite the long line. The one decent place to get matcha in this area. I got the blueberry matcha and it was good, but a bit too sweet for my taste and that's coming from someone who prefers matcha on the sweeter side. I also wasn't the biggest fan of the blueberry skin pieces, wish they were fully blended. Regardless, it was still a good matcha drink with good flavor. It was also pretty smooth. The interior was nice and aesthetic and there were WiFi and outlets making this a good spot to work/study in. This is a great coffee spot! We were looking for a place to get our daily coffee fix and this place seemed aesthetic with a creative menu so we paid a visit. The interior was pretty spacious and it offered a variety of seating: tables, counter, window, and a large centerpiece. It's also good for studying since it has outlets. I ordered the most popular, pablo latte, which was the perfect sweetness and came with a cinnamon stick. I also tried the seasonal caña latte which tasted similar to the Pablo, but slightly sweeter without the spices. I had the Hojicha Latte with roasted green tea, agave, and oat milk which was a really good balance of bitter and sweet. It's definitely a different kind of drink compared to most coffee shops. My friend got the Matcha Latte with agave and oat milk and said it was great too. We also had two pastries. Not sure what they were, but both were tasty. Service was friendly and quick. The place was packed on a weekday mid-morning, and every seat was taken. The parking lot is small and shared with other businesses, but there's likely street parking nearby. read more

My absolute favorite coffee in the valley! My two favorite are "Pablo" and "Sueno, you cannot go wrong with those two. I love the inside seating area, it is hard to find seating but luckily they have a square bench area with planter in the middle of the room. Definitely recommend going on a weekday, every time I have gone on the weekends its SUPER busy. Which makes sense because its the best coffee. But even with how busy it is you never wait too long for your order. Their pastries (baked from a local bakery I believe) are always delicious too! This place is amazing! My sister took us on a long walk to find this place and I was truly wondering where it was. Once we showed up I realized how special this place it. It's a family owned business and is absolutely gorgeous inside. They have a tree inside which which is just so cool. The virtual is just perfect for the space and it is a place where you want to stay and have your coffee. They also have some tables outside too! I wasn't sure what to order and asked for advice - I ended up ordering the Pablo with oat milk and it was great. It wasn't too sweet which why my concern, but it also was a mix of great flavors. It's kind of nice that they have such a large variety and it's different from other coffee places. My husband tried the ham and cheese croissant pastry and really liked it so he ordered it again when we went back. There isn't a huge food selection, but it's nice that there are options. We saw the reviews and wanted to try a new place. Space was very nice but very busy and loud, small outside seating was available and much more quiet. Parking was tough, we parked down the road which was fine for us but might not work for some folks. The line was short but we waited for at least 20 minutes to place our order. They did not have some of the things on their menu and the wait for our two drinks and banana bread was 25 minutes. We had anticipated there could be a long line since that's what showed on TikTok but we got lucky and saw there wasn't a line. My bf got his refresher in less than 5 mins. This could be an assumption but I saw drinks were being made for possible friends of an employee while other people were waiting. This girl behind me was asking for a refund because of the wait. Once she brought it up, it was when they started making it. The ambiance of this very stylish-looking and comfortable cafe was chilled and relaxing. The coffee shop is very generous in its use of space, so no one enjoying the cafe felt crowded. For $6.50 for a tea, you should include steamed milk for free if your register "can't do it." I came here because of the tea I saw on the menu online. I ordered a black tea with steamed whole milk. The woman at the register said she did not have a way to add steamed milk. I blankly looked at her, as I have the menu in front of me that clearly includes coffee beverages with steamed milk. "You can't steam milk here?" I ask. She says "I don't have a way to add it in the register." "So you're telling me I can't get a tea with steamed milk?" "I can give you cold milk." That's how my experience at Rutina went. I'm accustomed to paying around $5 for a cup of tea anyway - which if you only drink tea like me, you know that's a huge markup already. But to tell me you can't steam milk because the register can't do it? Sorry, that's really lame customer service. This spot came highly recommended and I love trying independent coffee businesses. The interior is really stylish and fun and people look happy. But after waiting about 15 minutes in line, I got to the register and found out that they don't have half-and-half. They have everything else but not half-and-half. Coffee aficionados that love a well made cup have their favorite dairy or non-dairy creamer so it seems weird that they don't have half-and-half. As a matcha connoisseur, the matcha here is to die for! It's minimalist but not flavorless unlike other places I have tried before. I had the Matcha Con Calma with Cream top. The matcha has a beautiful nutty flavor and the cream top is velvety fluffy soft and perfectly sweet. Wow! My gym trainer told me about this new coffee shop off of San Pablo close to Highway 111. Said I must try it. It's delicious. So I did. Its got a nice parking lot that was easy to maneuver. When I arrived I noticed that there was a very large coffee shop with a very small line- so I waited and when it was my turn a. very friendly barista asked me if I've been here before, then continued to educate me on the types of specialty drinks. After I ordered, it was easy enough for me to grab an empty seat and start a conversation with a young gal next to me. I said this is a large space for a coffee place. She said oh you've never been here before -it gets super busy, and in fact, I think that you may have arrived at a lucky time. As I was waiting no more than four minutes for our coffees to be completed, at least 15 to 17 people started to queue up at the counter. With one person taking in the orders and four barista's actively working to make certain that their patrons are pleased with short wait times- the establishment has a great system in place. There was plenty of room for sitting at tables inside & outside, stools for guest to casually wait, bench seating around a large indoor tree, and lots of room to stand. OK, so what's the hype? Fantastic flavor with no additional sweeteners needed. It's a medium roast with a smooth balance. I 100% will be back, this place may have become my new favorite coffee spot. read more
