Have you ever LITERALLY just ate lunch and then said "I am sooooo stuffed".... And then moments later (approx. 30 min in our case) casually walked by a pastry shop and thought to yourself, "I think I need a pastry". Well this.... Is the story of my life!!! Well, at least the story of my wife's ;) Yeah, we were in Palm Springs and had literally just ate at Santorini Gyro Greek Restaurant (check out my review) that is located on N. Palm Canyon Blvd. After leaving the restaurant, we were content, our bellies were full and I personally was set until dinner time. But after walking in and out of the various shops and doing a little light shopping, my beautiful wife suddenly.... Had a Craving!!! Cravings Coffee & Pastries enters the chat.... So there we were, minding our own business, doing some light shopping and even a touch of window shopping when we saw a glass case through the window filled with yummy looking treats. My wife said, "can we go in?" Me: Pfff, (in my head) "like I'm gonna tell you no" lol Hey... I remember our wedding when someone in one of the wedding toasts said, "Happy Wife, Happy Life" I'm not about to mess that up over a cheese danish, haha. So we went in, checked out the goods and within seconds, we were the proud owners of a "Cruffin" My guess... half muffin, half croissant?? Which of course was filled with some kind of custard and topped with a fig. What ever it was, it was delicious. And since it wasn't just a pastry shop, but a coffee shop too, you know we had to get a little drink to compliment our treat. And what pairs better with a custard filled Cruffin than a Lavender Latte! In addition to the goodies we had, they also serve up your traditional brewed coffee & teas, specialty coffee drinks and an array of sweet & savory pastries. So if you find yourself in Palm Springs and you just so happen to stumble across Cravings Coffee & Pastries, don't just window shop and keep walking. Go in, grab a treat, get a drink & live your best life. #Feedthatcraving
Cravings Coffee & Pastries is a small pastry shop located just off the main road in downtown Palm Springs. It's primarily a take out spot with very limited indoor/sidewalk seating, probably added on as an afterthought as a courtesy to tourists, but not a place with any sort of ambiance. They said, the service was friendly and they had a decent selection of pastries for purchase in the afternoon I visited. Pastries run in the $6-7 range. The almond chocolate croissant (4/5) jumped out at me, as usually it's just a chocolate croissant or almond croissant you get at pastry shops. It was a wonderfully delicious hybrid of the two, without either the almond paste or chocolate flavors overpowering one another. It's definitely something I'd get again, but they had so many other enticing options on offer as well. As it's located off on a side street, it's easier to get parking nearby as opposed to coffee spots on Palm Canyon drive where parking is sparse. If you don't mind doing take out, I'd recommend a stop into Cravings Coffee & Pastries while in Palm Springs.

We ate them later in the day. Both were very well done, although personally, I could've done without the cheese in the guava one. Would definitely recommend!

Mainly a to-go place, the pastries are tasty, and they provide all the coffee choices. We have managed to grab a table to enjoy our kouign-amann Breton pastry on our last visit.

Came here on a recommendation, and so glad we did. The Kouign Aman was really delicious. That cinnamon roll lacks cinnamon, sugar, and probably raisins. Remy explained that they had several complaints that there was too much sugar and cinnamon so they toned it down. Jaden made me a really delicious flat white. That is double shot of espresso with steamed milk. I'm in hand such a good one since we visited Australia. Both young men were very friendly and knowledgeable. The place is very clean, and we set outside with our puppies and had a very relaxed and enjoyable morning. This is now go to place for us as well.
the iced oat latte was great! there were some issues with apple pay but we eventually got it working. limited seats inside but there's free wifi and some outdoor seating. it's a cute small cafe
AMAZING homemade pastries and delicious coffee from the nicest man (I'm guessing the owner?) we live in the PNW and are particular about good coffee. Highly impressed, we stopped here after our flight home was delayed and we're SO glad we did! We are still talking about this place days after our trip to PS. Try the couque suisse and spinach and feta croissant!
Out in Palm Springs for the Tour de Palm Springs weekend and stumbled on this little gem tucked off the beaten path (always our favorite kind of find) We came a couple of times and the staff was so friendly and chatty. They import their flour from France so don't miss out on grabbing a few pastries while you get your coffee. Delicious! They have gluten free and dairy free treats as well, while not made in house they are AMAZING! Go support this small business you won't be sorry. We will be back next time we are here.
What a fun surprise to spot off the main drag. I love the intimate, uncrowded spots of Palm Springs so Cravings fit my style. It's connected to a barber shop and needless to say, has an intimate interior yet lots of exterior French style tables. While I didn't get any pastries, I did invest in a cold brew which was decent and priced fairly. The pastries did seem a bit overpriced considering their size. The service was quick and willing to assist. I will be back to see if they are worth it. In the meantime, yay for another coffee and pastry spot. As a frequent traveler to Palm Springs, these are my kind of spaces! Best of luck!!

Delicious pastries and coffee! We ordered the almond croissant, chocolate almond croissant, peach danish, and turkey and cheese croissant- all delicious and fresh. We also ordered iced latte and hot drip coffee. Perfect coffee. Great atmosphere with a few little tables. However we did take our food to-go. Attentive service and kind barista! Was staying at the Renaissance over the week due to a work conference. Walked here which was less than a mile away, and it was a quaint little shop Got their vanilla latte and a croissant. Delicious croissant, crispy and flaky. Quicker got in and out. I enjoyed this little bakery. read more

Came here on a recommendation, and so glad we did. The Kouign Aman was really delicious. That cinnamon roll lacks cinnamon, sugar, and probably raisins. Remy explained that they had several complaints that there was too much sugar and cinnamon so they toned it down. Jaden made me a really delicious flat white. Absolutely amazing! Authentic sweet and savory pastries (some of which you can't find elsewhere). I ended up going back for more. You can see and taste the authenticity and care of the pastries. Very kind staff who seems to deeply care about their craft of pasties. read more

I thought I loved this place until they took the young pretty girls order before mine when I had been waiting 10 minutes ! I was going to buy a dozen sweets but was just irritated that the barista didn't asist who was next since she did see me waiting! I won't go back to this place ! It's hard to find really good pastry--both in freshness and variety, as well as in texture and taste. Croissants are either too rich, too heavy, or too bread-like. Fillings are artificial, meager, or lacking in texture. So, I could not have been happier or more surprised to find the pastry at Cravings. Most importantly, the pastry itself is rich but not too heavy. Fillings are plentiful (in great proportion to the pastry) and not the overly sweet "pie filling" you often get. The fruit (esp. the apricots) have bite and texture and the chocolate is rich and plentiful (TIP: the chocolate wheel is excellent!). I've tried the other pastry shops in town, and this is the closest to the pastry I had while living in France. An even balance of high-quality flavors and freshness--something you'd have every day with a cup of tea or coffee--in a just-right size that's generous but not overwhelming. It's worth the price for the quality (made in-house!). Treat yourself to something really excellent at Cravings. The chai is pretty delicious too (more clove than red-hots cinnamon), and the outdoor bistro seating is surprisingly comfortable and relaxing. read more
