I have been meaning to try this place since it opened because it has a few vegan options. I called in my order so it could be ready when I got there. I walked in and the place was very clean and put together and the guy behind the counter was nice. I ordered the falafel platter and it was only $8 and the platter had a lot of food. Ordered falafel sandwich and Greek salad to go . The pita bread was soft and fluffy, the falafel balls were tasty , however it was a little strong on the onion side and also the sauce had a bit of a bitter taste . The Greek salad was also heavy on onions . The grape leaves were delicious . The salad did not have any feta cheese at all , and it could have used some spice in the salad dressing - oregano and pepper to be specific . So I think they have some work to do there . The food prep time was reasonable no more than one would expect at a food truck . It gave me time to go next door and get a slice of pizza . The prices are very reasonable. read more

Delicious! I bit into a falafel sandwich and instantly knew it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever tasted. Moist not dry and so much flavor! All of the wonderful extras added to the sandwich (cucumbers, tomatoes, pickles, etc) you get to choose were all so fresh. The bread was soft and fluffy and the sauce on top made my tastebuds soar. I could tell they take pride in serving their customers. Even when you call, they answer the phone on the first ring and display very polite and professional phone mannerisms. No dining in due to Covid but if you call, it's ready in 5 minutes - piping hot and perfectly delicious! This was my second time here...it's quite a distance from where I live which is why I don't frequent it as much as I'd like to (I tend to stay local during this pandemic since many establishments don't allow dining in during this time and for that reason: its either bring it all the way home which the food will be cold or eat in my car while it's hot) This food however is definitely worth sitting in your car and eating to the last bite. This was my first time ordering from this restaurant and I'm upset that I haven't found it sooner! I had the chicken kebab and chicken shawarma with the mint lemonade. Everything was fresh, nicely seasoned, and the chicken was super juicy. 10/10 will recommend. I can't wait to try another dish from this place. read more

I was driving through the main street when I saw "Falafel" in front of the store. I had cravings since then and finally able to try it for dinner today! I am obsessed with the preparation of the food. It is worth the 15minute wait. I mean just look at these pictures. Best kofta kebab in town. Do not hesitate to try. My advice is to order in advance so you don't have to stand and wait while they cook it. Time it so the food is still hot when you get home. I will come back to this restaurant again! New restaurant alert! Falafel Feast is a new restaurant on Wood Avenue as downtown Linden continues to transform. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, and in fact we almost walked right by it since you can't really see their name when walking down the sidewalk. Inside, it's a pretty typical takeout joint with a good number of tables if you want to eat your food there- order at the counter and grab a seat (which are stamped with Pret A Manger?) and wait to be called up when it's ready. The food is pretty straight forward- pitas, wraps, salads, rice bowls- with your choice of protein or falafel if you so desire. Prices are reasonable for the area and portions about average. I was impressed with how they had multiple fresh made soups available. Only thing I hope they improve on is the staff working the cash register. Some of the dishes we tried are the mixed grill platter with chicken and lamb kabob, and kufta. Chicken and lamb gyro sandwiches and platter. Fair is fair. I didn't eat here, so my review is based on the fact that no bathroom is available to the public. Indeed, maybe the falafel is great and wondrous, but read on: I had time to kill while getting tires and a brake job at Hometown Tire (incidentally, a fine tire purveyor, with a nice clean bathroom), and had planned on lunch at Falafel Feast. So, I walk in and announce that I would like a Falafel Pita, but first I'd like to use the bathroom. But no, says the fellow, albeit quite politely, that they have no bathroom for customers. I was told I might find facilities at the Quick Check, across the street and down the way in the strip mall. "Is that where he goes?" I mull. Well, my rule is that, unless absolutely starving, I do not patronize eateries that don't convivially supply bathroom facilities for customers, and am especially circumspect when they have dine-in facilities and don't offer them, or claim that they are broken. I am caused to wonder whether or not local ordinance stipulates that same should be provided. Yes, I know it's a pain cleaning the bathroom regularly, and trying to discern among clean-intentioned customers, as well as not so clean-intentioned customers, and, heaven forbid, the sundry street person who, too, suffers that human affliction known as natural body functions. Yes, alas it's so. Truth be told, dear reader, I cannot comfortably eat whilst necessity calls. And, I can't eat while scowling that the establishment I am in doesn't think enough of his or her fellow human being to offer the convenience of a toilet facility. My G-d, man! What are we on this Earth for if not to offer poor, hungry travelers an oasis courtesy of either Kohler or American Standard? And so, for all I know, Falafel Feast cooks up falafel pita sandwiches every bit as good as the two best places I frequent: Falafel Hut in Montclair, and Allan's Falafel in Chester, New York. I noticed that this place had quite a few vegan options on the menu so I figured I'd give them a try. I'm happy that I did because the food was very fresh and delicious! I ordered the power protein platter and it came with enough food for 2 servings depending on ones appetite. I was helped by Sammi(sp?), who I believe is the owner.
