We stopped off to pick up something special for a dessert but the bakery was pretty empty. This space has a lot of potential but sits off the main drag. I believe it is set up to be a coffee shop bakery. The door was open and one woman, the proprietor? Was decorating a cake. I asked how much notice needed to be given to get a cake and she said 2 days. I was t able to taste anything to give a food review. Would be nice to get this business hoppin and would love to stop back in a couple of months and see people sitting enjoying coffee and a fancy dessert. One place missing in Hayward is a bakery available full time that offers fancy desserts. read more

I did a google search to find a bakery in Hayward, saw the reviews were good, so I sent them a message via Facebook with a picture and description of the cake I wanted. She was prompt in responding to my questions. The cake was ready on time and turned out exactly as I requested. The buttercream frosting was delicious! Just the right amount of sweetness, and was not that crazy stuff you get sometimes where your eyes seem to hurt it's so sweet! The cake was moist and decorated beautifully! I called here a week and a half in advance for a cake pickup. They told me to message them on Facebook with reference pictures, so I did. I asked that the cake be teal and have "Happy 25th birthday!" written on top. When messaging, they asked minimal questions about the flavor I wanted, the type of frosting, etc. I showed up to a pink cake, with no writing, and was only given a partial discount, still paying $30 for a cake that was completely wrong. Placed a cake order 2 weeks in advance for my fathers birthday, the banana sheet cake tasted old and very artificial and the frosting was as hard as a rock. It seemed like the cake was made a week in advance and sat in the freezer. Was definitely not fresh which is what I would expect for a $60 cake. read more

So good! We vacation in Hayward every year, and our usual bakery has disappointed us the past few years. Luckily we found this place on our drive back to the cabin and decided to stop in. Very glad we did. We bought kolackes, danishes, cupcakes, scones and a few other pastries. ALL the pastries were fresh, flaky and delicious and the cupcakes were perfection. It is a cute, clean space with a small seating area as well. I only wish they had more donuts to choose from, but then again we were there late morning so we probably just missed the boat.
