We ended up with a delicious three layer red velvet cake with iridescent icing perfectly piped, the tightest rose cross I have ever seen in my life and a gorgeous color scheme. If you like super moist cake bursting with flavor, this is your place. The best in Columbus, in my opinion. We tried a slice of white cake with raspberry and passion fruit filling and delicious buttercream frosting. Also a slice of layered chocolate with layers of chocolate and caramel fillings between. Note to self: Come bright eyed and bushy tailed, for Saturday's; otherwise weekday mornings are good too. From what was left, I got one of their handmade beef empanadas. From reviews and pictures, these little beef hand pies looked stuffed full with meat. Amazing!! The pastry filling was everything but dry, and tasteless. One of the best empanada casings I've had. And the beef and veggies filling was freakishly awesome! The seasoning was so pronounced and bursting with gusto. Im officially sad I only bought one of these. And, come on, let's be real! You think I'm gonna pass up getting a piece of their Tiramisu (my guilty pleasure)? Nonsensical argument. It was delish! A subtle amount of espresso - enough to taste, not gag. Right next to Target on High Street I noticed the cake sign and knew I had to stop by and see what they had. A great variety of goods in a small store for a fair price. They had cookies from 20-50 cent a piece so I got a few and they were exotic and different but tasty nonetheless. Cupcakes cheap at $1.25 a piece and decent but not earth shattering. The eclaire was good, but still noone can touch the anrgy baker it that department. The pecan bun fresh and tasty, also nt the best I have had. Be careful to get the right drive! It is not the same parking lot as Graceland and not connected to Goodyear's parking either. Be sure to call ahead or go early if you are looking for something specific. So many of the items in the display cases are delicious and sell out early. The Danishes ($2.25 each) are fairly large and delectable. The mini-quiches ($3.00) have amazing flavor with a light, flaky crust. There are always a variety of inexpensive cookies that range from good to great . Almond petit fours have an amazing amount of marzipan flavor. Each one is a very fulfilling dessert by itself. The flan and tiramisu are also scrumptious; dinner rolls are equally lovely. Frankly, everything I have tried has been impressively tasty. I really hate giving bad reviews, but I felt like I had to with the cake I got. I got a six-inch round, black and white cake with chocolate cream on the inside and white frosting on the outside. On top of the white frosting was a melted chocolate on top that did taste delicious. The best part of the cake was white frosting and melted chocolate on top. It did LOOK very nice. However, I'm sad to say the taste of the cake was not great. The only way I can describe the texture of the cake is it felt like eating a wet sponge. It wasn't dry, but it definitely wasn't soft, light, and fluffy like good cake is. But to throw it out there, I did not pre-order my cake. I called same day and picked up what they had in stock. Maybe that makes a difference with quality? The cake was not overly sweet, which was a plus.
