OMG, this business is legit! I placed another order because we had such a great experience a few years ago. Usually when a business does a grat job the first time your expectations going forward are typically higher than the business can achieve. I have no idea how Marriah, Rhonda, and the team do it but they manage to continue to exceed every expectation I have. I ordered an Italian cream cake with Bavarian cream for the filling. This was based on their recommendation. The cake looked amazing and tasted even better than it looked. The Bavarian cream kept the cake from being too sweet and completely complimented the other flavor as suggested. They communicated extremely well and were very timely in answering my questions. I recomm this business / team to anyone who wants great service, food, and an outstanding experience. Thank you Cakes Couture! You really made my wife's birthday special.

I signed up to buy my nephew's wedding cake. I was behind on finding a bakery. When I reached out a month before the wedding date I was nervous. The cake tasting was amazing. Super friendly and professional. The wedding was this past weekend July 24th. The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing.. thank you for being part of my nephew's wedding.

The bunny was a little wet because it was raining outside but it still came out good!

They did a super fantastic job on my son's first birthday cake! We had a Peter rabbit theme and they just nailed it! A must go to place!

I was hoping I would not have to leave a review like this but no one has reached out to me after leaving message on the delivery form, wedding coordinator calling, or me emailing after my daughter's wedding on February 26, 2022. I have put pictures of what the cakes should have looked like and what was delivered. When I meet with the wedding cake coordinator she told us how excited the owner was to decorate cakes with a mountain theme and wanted to use them for advertising. I was so embarrassed by the groom cake. The look of the cake from color to mountains and not sure what was on top of the cake. Why would anyone think that is worth 400 dollars. I think a third grader could have done better. The delivery lady just kept telling me this is how we do things and that it is final sale even if you are not happy with the product. I just wish she would have reached out to us and that I did not have to leave this review. From visual to the taste of the cake it would received 0 stars on the grooms cake. Now to the wedding cake I asked for no ribbon on the cake at all but after set up you can see ribbon was put on the cake. When I brought it up the delivery lady again told me this is how we do it. So I guess they don't care what the bride ask for is what I got out of that. I asked for the ribbon to be taken off and the cake to be fixed. She removed all ribbon except the bottom has it was hot glued on. The taste of the icing was off on the wedding cake so for that I give it 4 stars out of 10. All in all very unhappy with the two cakes and the customer service that was received. My grandparents owned a bakery and so I had multiple people that was retired from doing cakes at my wedding that was helping me hold it together as the mom of the bride. I just wish she would have told me she was unable to do the cake then trying on the final cake. Please think twice before using them for your very very special day.

Awesome little walk-in bakery. There were so many goodies to choose from! The cakes in the case were beautiful too. We tried the cannolis (so good!), the sticky buns and the sausage rolls (kolaches here in central TX). We will definitely stop in again next time we are in town.

    Tasting Box

Tasting Box After seeing this business owners' television interview, our family felt the urge to give them a try and help out a small business. My daughter will be getting married in the fall so we called up the bakery to request a tasting box to sample their wares for wedding cakes. The initial price was 35 dollars, but because we requested a marble cake sample, they charged us $30 dollars more. I agreed to pay the extra because I knew the groom's favorite cake is marble. When we opened the box, we were all highly disappointed at the amount that was included. Does this box look like a $70.36 (tax included) amount to you? Not to mention, the marble cake that we spent an extra thirty dollars on, was an end piece and smaller than the rest. No good deed goes unpunished, I guess. It would seem that if a business was vying for future business, they would offer their best, as a selling point. We have not had our tasting yet, so I will update this review soon.

I expect a little dance from my tastebuds. And thankfully, that's exactly what I found at Art House Bakery. The first thing that struck me wasn't the cake--it was the woman behind the counter. I'm not sure if she was the owner or not, but she was an absolute delight. The kind of person who makes you feel genuinely welcome the second you walk through the door. Not customer-service nice. Truly happy-you're-here nice. While perusing the sweet treats, I noticed pa filled with assorted cake slices. She explained that they were made up of cakes that might not have been perfectly level, didn't quite meet their decorating standards, or were a day old. Friends... These containers were $5. FIVE. DOLLARS. Naturally, I bought two because I possess both common sense and a sweet tooth. One container had two vanilla slices and a chocolate slice. The other had vanilla and red velvet. I made it all the way to my car before my self-control failed me and I took a bite. YUM. The cake was moist, flavorful, and had that unmistakable made-from-scratch quality that separates good bakeries from grocery store cake pretending to be special. What impressed me even more was what happened afterward. I shared some with one of my daughters the next day, and by then the cake was at least three days old. It was still delicious. And that speaks volumes. Any bakery can impress you with a cake that came out of the oven six hours ago. A truly talented bakery produces cakes that maintain their texture, flavor, and integrity days later. Eventually the whole family sampled pieces, and every single person agreed: this place is fantastic. Between the warm welcome, the incredible value, and cake that made me question whether I should have purchased a third container, Art House Bakery absolutely won me over. I'm thrilled to know there's a spot in New Braunfels ready to handle my sweet tooth whenever the need arises. And if Marie Antoinette would have said, "Let them eat cake," and meant Art House Bakery, it might have ben forgivable.

So I got a piece to go. It was everything a cake should be - moist and flavorful and soft buttery goodness in every bite! I didn't taste any chemicals like I do in store-bought or box cakes. This tasted like granny's kitchen from above. It makes you want to sing! I had to wait for the taco place to be open again to call them to place an order. I was working so I talked my mom into going and offered to buy her taco if she went and picked up one for me too. She didn't need to know I just wanted cake. I called and paid over the phone. They ran out of the cinnamon vanilla so I had to settle for the red velvet. I don't really like red velvet but thought if it is the same person that made the cinnamon vanilla, then I'm sure my taste buds would approve. My mouth was salivating and ready for it. Well ... I have nothing to report because they forgot to put my slice of cake in the bag!!! I know dietary warfare when I see it! I couldn't leave work so the lady gave me a refund. My obvious question was, when will you have more? She didn't know. Huh?? She felt bad so she graciously gave me the name of the bakery that provides them with cake. A bakery? And it's local??? Well that was my next call and I got the kindest lady named Carolyn over the phone. She kindly listened to my sob story and I felt like I made a friend. I ended up pre-ordering a vegan cake for my mom's birthday. My mom's not able to eat most desserts so I was grateful that they had a dark chocolate cake to offer. I absolutely loved meeting Carolyn in person. She was as fun and sweet as the homemade icing they make. It was incredible! My mom loved it. You would never know it was vegan. In the mean time, I still was waiting for the cinnamon vanilla that was unforgettable. So the following week I ordered a whole cake for Thanksgiving. So glad I had a reason to order a whole cinnamon vanilla cake and that I had people to share it with. I might have eaten the whole thing. Guys, it's THAT good!! And it was a hit!! I should have had their business cards because everyone wanted to know where this bakery was. Good thing I didn't fib and say that I baked it. Hahaha! JK! But it was just like I remembered it. Like heaven and rainbows in your mouth. I decided that this place will one day be my goto for a wedding cake! They have such a cute little shop that also offers delicious cookies and cupcakes and yummy truffles ... What a hidden treasure! Unfortunate things happen in life for a reason. If the lady hadn't forgotten my cake, I may have never discovered this special place. They are my people now.

Naegelin's is known for traditional German baked goods, including apple strudel, kolaches (both fruit and meat), German rye bread, and its iconic pink-frosted Lebkuchen cookies. According to bakery staff, many recipes are still based on formulas developed generations ago. I purchased apple strudel, oatmeal raisan cookies and a piece of cheesecake. All were good, however, the strudel was the standout. The bakery also offers a wide range of breads, cakes, doughnuts, and seasonal items, making it easy to find something regardless of taste or occasion.
