Top notch service and products! First off, I highly appreciate samples, especially when there are multiple tasty treats to choose from. It didn't actually make my choices any easier since they were unbelievably delicious and now I simply wanted to sample them all. But since they make mini cupcakes i didn't have to choose! Some of my favorite flavors include: carrot cake, strawberry, chocolate with peanut butter frosting, and red velvet. Be sure to check out their monthly and daily flavors. The store was able to take call-in orders and had them ready to go when we arrived. This location offers ice cream and other treat options so that is always a plus! So I call a popular cookie delivery company in Austin (I wont say the name because I still love them). Low and behold they don't deliver to Bastrop. No shit, right? Then I decide to have an edible arrangement delivered. They WILL deliver to Bastrop. Oh but wait! They WILL deliver it to Bastrop... On Monday. I finally searched for a local mom and pop located in Bastrop and found Simply Sweet. Their website has no information on pricing or delivery so I took a shot in the dark and emailed them. Now here's the customer service part: 1: They responded almost immediately to my email. 2: They told me that I am more than welcome to call before operating hours to place an order. 3: They returned my call after they missed it. 4: They agreed to deliver even though I only called 3 hours in advance! 4: They delivered right on time. 5: It only cost $13 for a dozen cookies including delivery! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that I have yet to try one of said cookies. I used to work in Bastrop (live in Austin), and this place has ruined me. How can I ever buy a cupcake in Austin now? Thanks Simply Sweet...if I am ever jonesing for a cupcake, I'm going to have to drive 45 minutes out of my way because nothing would ever be as good. The Key Lime cupcake actually makes my soul sing a little. If you get one of the regular sized ones, prepare for a sugar coma. I can't accomplish anything for at least an hour after. I will probably ask for them to make 100 cupcakes for my wedding. No lie. If for some reason you don't like lime (who are you?!), I also recommend the chocolate peanut butter, lemon raspberry, and red velvet.
