If you are in the Sattler area near FM 2673 and 306, close to the Horseshoe, or if you aren't, make your way over here to eat these tacos, tortas, and burritos. The truck is parked next to the Sunoco gas station across the street from River Rose Tavern, and they have a couple of shaded picnic tables for dining on site, plus some big limestone blocks that are fine for sitting while you wait. I've tried everything in this area over the past 4 years, and Mi Familia was a revelation last night on the way to a show at Whitewater Amphitheater. Instead of being at the mercy of a mediocre stadium concessions meal at the concert venue, we enjoyed a DELICIOUS, relaxed meal with no crowds while we watched the hordes of music fans stream down the sidewalk to enter the Robert Earl Keen and Willie Nelson show. I had the loaded torta with barbacoa. Good lord! Perfectly juicy, savory, tender meat on a grilled torta bun with fresh avocado, lettuce, tomato, crema, mayo, not sure what else but it was huge and tasty. I say "loaded" because it was, but that's just how Mi Familia dresses their sandwiches. I suppose I could have asked for more specific toppings like cilantro and onions. Next time. My date went with a beef fajita mega burrito, again stuffed with all the fresh fixings I had, plus Oaxacan cheese, refried beans, and Spanish rice, served in a fresh, stretchy, homemade tortilla. He loved everything about the burrito and the 2 spicy salsas that came on the side. Was this a *cheap* meal for a taco truck? No, it was $25 before tip, so about $12.50 each, but guys, inflation is on fire in 2024 and we cannot get low cost food any more. I am totally happy with the $ spent, as this food quality was stellar and the service by the sweet tias running the truck was perfect. I cannot wait to come back and work my way through the rest of that menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night. I have my eye on the gorditas, quesadillas, enchiladas, and carne guisada. Hours: Mon-Sat, 6:30a - 8p Sun, 6:30a - 3p Plus special late night hours after Whitewater Amp events

He's super nice but the food was trash... and I really hate to say that since he was so nice…read more I literally watched him squirt some water on the griddle, then but the brisket and "warm it up"... it was super tuff to the point I couldn't even eat it. It also tasted and looked as if he boiled it. Either way it was cook, it wasn't cooked long enough. Definitely not smoked.. I seen him a few years ago around the corner at a better looking set up but I was picking up for door dash then. There was a few people that were waiting on food then and now when you drive by there's never anyone there. Even though it should have been rush hour for dinner.. so I understand why the brisket wasn't cooked fresh or right. He not open late anymore either. Oh I can't forget the potatoes salad and the beans... the Ben's had tomato's in them? They weren't made by him. Bushes beans are better.. the potato salad was the only semi edible thing we got.. we literally threw everything away and didn't even feed it to the dog. Wish I took pictures before throwing it away but it got thrown away just as fast as I got the food... I hope whatever he's going through, he gets out of it. Because people that spend their hard working money should at the very least editable food.

My potato salad was still partially frozen/icy when I got it home so didn't really eat it...was probably good though Not what J would consider a generous portion for almost $20 (like $17 and change) So bc brisket was SO good but I felt price point was a little high and my frozen potatoes and thus I can't go any higher than a 4 ALSO-if you are a sauce fan this place is not for you. They don't "do sauce". Not that it needs it, but just in case you were expecting it...

But we went on a Friday night around 6pm and half of the trucks weren't open. The alcohol one wasn't open either! We were waiting around to see if maybe they're just behind because we saw a guy there, but nope. There was barely anyone there besides us. This place is fun and clean, and has so much potential. Hopefully it gets more traffic and more trucks open up.
