Honestly, don't look anywhere else and this is an honest review. Anil and his team are amazing to work with. Anil is a straight forward, old school style owner. He meets with clients himself, is reasonable in all of his dealings, and he tells it as it is. No fancy business store front and multiple staff you have to go through. It's just him and his installation team. I like that kind of business man. Anil came by our home and brought a vanload of samples and presented them transparently and perfectly. He even has a description of all his recommended turf in the back of the estimate; I love this because you can compare all of the turf specifications and I love that he leaves the samples for you to compare at your own pace and your own time. We had over 5 different quotes, but in the end, we went with Anil because his price could not be beat, he is LOCAL to the South County Area, and honestly I just really appreciated his no frills style. He's not coming in like a used care sales man but pretty much tells you how it is with his product. We have 3 other neighbors that have gone with him, so that shows you his track record. The installation went perfectly smooth, and I've done a lot of work on our house. I hate having to "be available" for contractors and their team. With Anil, we didn't worry about anything. We gave him our needs and special requests before installation and that was the end of it. His team was quick and efficient and definitely accommodating. In the end, we were glad we went with him and would recommend him to all of our friends, family and neighbor. The artificial grass they sell is garbage. I hired them to update an existing artificial grass area after having the same turf for 10 years. The grass they installed was installed in 2 halves and started to melt from reflections from the surrounding windows instantly leaving melted burns on their product. Our dogs destroyed our grass within a year with pee and zoomies. It was also attracting gnats and mosquitos, so we decided to go artificial turf. Anil and his team did a great job. He was quick to come give us a fair quote, show us samples of different types of turf, and walk us through the process and maintenance. We went with the Pet turf because we have 2 large dogs that pee and poop all day. It doesn't look or feel quite as natural because they have to make the grass stiffer so the poop can sit on top, but there's more holes for water to pass through for pee and hosing it down. There were some other turfs that looked super natural if you're not worried about pets. The turf install took 2 half days (1 afternoon to demo and prep, 1 morning to install). We were very please with the end result and would recommend Anil to anyone. Even the hubby liked it despite feeling like a failure that he couldn't keep his grass alive. read more

I honestly don't understand how this company gets so many good reviews. we had someone show up to do an estimate, when we were ready to move forward, we wanted to stop by their office to show them some specific requirements the HOA had, realized their "office" was just a PO Box. After purchasing our home in January 2019, I immediately got rid of our lawn service, bought a mower and edger and looked forward to doing the lawns myself. Growing up in a time when all the neighbors hired all us kids in the neighborhood to do lawns, mowing and edging was always something I really enjoyed. After about 16 months now of doing the lawn in our new home, I was realizing when you start off with grass in not the best condition, it's not the same. My wife and I went back and forth about getting artificial grass, instead of dealing with re-sodding, fixing sprinklers and drains. We went out and got a couple estimates. Cal Art Turf owned by Anil was the company we chose. Anil was not only a very competitive price, but he himself was just simply an extremely nice, and honest person. We decided at this time to just do the backyard to see how we like it. We went with the California Gold 80, it was much more dense and softer than the other branded 80 weights. Anil's crew lead by Robert were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and simply guys you'd trust working at your home. They were very hard workers, and really had a great attention to detail. The job took 2 days, plus a couple hours in the morning on the 3rd day, simply because they had a cancellation on Monday and we worked it out so they could start our job a week early, so they got a little bit of a late start Monday. For me, I was excited to get it started a week early! The grass came out perfect, the California Gold 80 is an excellent choice, it looks so incredibly real. Pictures don't really do it justice, in person it's so nice. Anil also did the side of our house with pea gravel at a very minimal extra cost. My wife and I are so pleased with the whole experience, the quality of the grass, the installation, and the crew. I can't say enough good things about Anil and his crew. Call as many companies as you'd like, but make sure Cal Art Turf is one of them. Went with Cal Art after getting several estimates. I appreciated their prompt communication and variety of grass samples (density, color). Had them do a backyard area and then last minute requested a side strip too, which they accommodated without a problem and at a fair price. I had some old sprinkler pipes that cracked after installation and they came out quickly and resolved the issue. I feel confident that they would come back and fix future issues if needed (hopefully not). Writing this review about two months after installation, and my family loves it. Anil and his team just finished my backyard that was in desperate need of a makeover! I bought the house last year and the previous owner had let the grass die during the severe drought CA was experiencing. Doing other upgrades first, the backyard was put on the back burner, especially during the winter with all the rains. Come spring, I had some estimates done for artificial turf. The quotes varied quite a bit, Cal Art was one of the lower but I liked the way Anil explained all and he didn't come across as a pushy salesman, trying to make the next deal. I had some travels coming up, put off the job until after Memorial Day and contacted Anil once again after the holiday. Although I had my quote done a couple of months ago, he still honored it and his team was ready to start the install about a week later. My yard was a mess from the overgrown weeds that now had taken over where the dead grass was, in one day it was all gone, leveled, prepped and the grass put down the following day. He went an extra step and removed a lavender plant that had seen better days, plus set up drips for my hanging plants and got the sprinklers in the back planter going again with the timer.
