Room for improvement includes pricing all the candles. I picked one up without a price tag and it was $8 when I got to the register, when I saw many others priced around $6 or $7. It was a gift for a friend so not a big deal. Discount Candles is a really fun shop whether you believe the hullabaloo or not. They offer a wide variety of candles, incense and oils to choose from, and they've got a large (free!) parking lot to the right of the store for your convenience. Not just a business, it's a community. The merch is fun and unique; I've honestly never seen more beautiful pendulum chains--more like display pieces than simple tools. First visit was for Spiritfest. I asked Vincent for a non-traditional mediumship reading (because that's my world right now), and he did not disappoint--very insightful, very evidential. I also had Reiki. Super relaxing. I'm not someone who really "feels" energy, so for me it was peaceful more than anything--and that was still worthwhile. Then the surprise: a chair massage. Never having had one I didn't expect much. But holy smokes, Mandy has magical hands (which certainly explains why her business is Mandy's Magical Hands. And, it's not an overstatement). I booked a full body massage for the next week on the spot. I don't even live close, and I'm now hooked. And Mama Tracy herself. Where do I even start? She is extraordinary--kind, warm, and deeply generous. She had never met me and still did the most selfless act. I was honestly blown away. I didn't know how to thank her properly in the moment; I wasn't prepared for that level of generosity and my brain froze trying to express it. I came in to do a service for myself but I was having to waste my energy conversing with her and validating her storytimes. She also told me in my reiki session that she can see how long someone will live which really freaked me out and made me leave with an uneasy feeling. I was telling another reiki practitioner in general about this experience as this was my first time and they told me that this was NOT reiki and I should just block this experience from my mind.
