A hidden Gem. I was staying around the corner and happened to stop by for breakfast best I've had thus far. It doesn't look like much passing by and the menu is simple straight to the point. I ordered the eggs with toast and had sausage. It was freshly done on the spot and toast was warm with butter. The sausage was so delicious. Definitely wasn't expecting this place to be good but I recommend it as everything is done fresh. read more

We stopped at this cafe on the way to the rainforest. It was the only place open in this area at 9 am on a Saturday. Most places here open up around 10 am. This coffee shop has a lot of tables and great for big groups. There is street parking and a parking lot one street away from this location. There is a small pastry case but the menu does have a lot of hot items (see menu pictures attached). When we came in there were only two people working in the morning however they were hustling and busting out orders. Overall our experience here was great. Was taking a walk around our hotel since my parents take forever to get ready in the morning when I found this place! Even though I was originally looking to try some puerto rican coffee, I wandered inside after I saw the "opciones vegetarianas" sign posted outside! They have three vegetarian options aside from the coffee and smoothies. I ended up getting the Lafayette which was a sandwich made with caramelized apples and cream cheese between two pieces of buttered toast and topped with vanilla ice cream. It was delicious! The staff here is also very nice and humoured me when I started off the conversation in Spanish even though they knew perfect English! This is a real coffee shop, not like Starbucks but a cool neighborhood vibe kind of place. They make you feel welcome, even if you don't speak Spanish. Everything they make, is with fresh ingredients, and served with a genuine smile. A lot of times when I travel, I want to go where the locals go. Get away from the tourist places. Puerto Rico may not be your first thought for coffee, but they brew their coffee with skill, and pride themselves on their coffee. This cafe is so sweet! Stumbled onto it because it is so close to my Airbnb. Had the perfect cup of coffee and a delicious bar of chocolate and am certainly coming back for breakfast tomorrow!! This is an unique place to go and relax. The place have good pastries(please try the Lavender cake), excelente service, free wifi, and of course coffee. After spending $40+ on mediocre hotel breakfasts, I was so glad to find a good place to enjoy an amazing cortadito and homestyle breakfast! My sister and I went for their brunch special which includes an entree, coffee AND juice/water for $11.66! The spinach omelette and the Nutella waffle were amazing - highly recommend it! Place has a travel to Paris vibe and the music reminds me of the movie Amelie. Service was pretty quick and very friendly. The latte tasted a bit bitter, like it wasn't very freshly roasted. I also ordered the oatmeal which was a little sweet and did not come with the usual fruits and bananas on top like other cafes but that was okay. Stumbled into this unassuming cafe and was stunned to find that they are not only incredibly affordable, but they have gluten free bread! They have nice sandwiches - many grilled and served with a side of plantain chips. The menu is in Spanish but the person at the counter also spoke English. The coffee was also to die for! If you are gluten-free, this little place is worth a walk. read more

My wife and I are staying a few blocks from here for a couple of weeks and we're checking out as much Puerto Rican coffee as we can. Walked here this morning having passed it last night. Walk in the door and it just feels fun and extremely friendly. the barista is super nice and the place has a great vibe plus the coffee is awesome-sitting here drinking it now-and we got this incredible sandwich made up of tart apples and who the heck knows what the glaze on the bread is, honey butter and something really addictive cause I am about to go get another. The coffee is excellent-Very fruity and very flavorful. Ok, the bread on this sandwich is killer, too. They have other vegetarian options and I am sure they are just as good. We are definitely hitting up this place again. Yesterday we walked a mile the opposite direction to a cafe that has 200 great reviews on Yelp and it was def deserving of them, BUT this cafe is just as good and we like our food much better-far more creative. If I lived here this would be my daily coffee shop. Shoot, I wish this were my local coffee shop in Philadelphia. Do yourself a favor and drop on by, you'll love it. read more

Best iced coffee I've ever had, the perfect jolt before our trip to Fajardo to ferry out to Vieques. Amazing prices and very friendly service, I'm glad this spot was so close to our Airbnb. Best coffee in town! Miglia is one of my good friends. She got into the business not long ago and now she knows more about coffee than the average joe. The coffee she brews is 150% from Puerto Rico!! None of that commercialized mud they sell in stores. She cares about quality and service. Her coffee shop (caldera) is definitely a gem! Great food. And, did i mention Amazing coffee??!!!! We love this place. It is an easy walk from the Courtyard Mirimar where we stayed. We came here every day for our Cappuccino. Food was very good too. The location on Yelp is off, keep walking another block or two and look for the yellow painted wall. read more

I came to this café to work on a project one day, got a coffee and went to work. I got the iced mocha, very yummy! The workers were extremely friendly, and every so often would come up to me to see how I was doing or if I needed anything. Whilst working, one of the nice ladies brought me a waffle free of charge!
