This place was incredible! The patatas bravas had more sauce than I've experienced previously but they were cooked to perfection. For our main courses, the portions were HUGE. My chicken sandwich came with two breasts, so I couldn't finish it but the flavor was great. I ended with the bread pudding which I loved. And, they use bread from their bakery which was so fresh and tasty. Would also be perfect for a nicer vacation dinner/date night as the ambiance is beautiful and service was quick.

La Bodeguita gave upscale vibes without the overpriced menu items. I got the Gin-Ah! cocktail ($13), which was refreshing with mint, grapefruit juice, gin, and sparkling wine. I also tried the Darkiri ($13), which was reminiscent of a mojito, with rum, lime juice, and mint. We also had two salads, La Pirinaca ($15) and Ensalada Rucula y Pera ($15), both of which were delicious. Service was really good. We sat at the bar and were checked on if we needed anything.

A HIDDEN GEM IN PR. A must visit!! This will be one of your most affordable dinners on the island, and one of the most memorable. I have only been impressed by a speakeasy once prior; and much like this visit, I have absolutely no idea how my husband pulled off finding it! After nights of street food, I told my husband that I was craving a sexy dinner... and here he brought us! We walked in the bakery and I was absolutely confused... why was I wearing this nice dress? After a stop to the bathroom, my husband opened the "refrigerator door" and we were whisked away into one of the most romantic restaurants I have ever seen... dark lighting, very limited tables, a full bar, and a wine room surrounded by glass walls in the back. Oomph! We walked in on a Saturday night without a reservation; elsewhere, this would be a nightmare, but we were immediately seated without judgement. The waiter recommended the beef tip appetizer (a must try!). We sipped on rum cocktails (yum), and were brought a complimentary dish of truffle fries (YUM!!). Ultimately, we ordered the chicken and mahi mahi... my husband absolutely scored ordering the chicken. My mahi mahi was okay, but overcooked; his chicken was one of the top dishes we had in PR. We both chose rice and beans as our sides, and it was the best BY FAR by the end of our weeklong trip. The night was going so well, I chose to splurge and ordered crème brûlée- not the best, not the worst. The fruit on top was delicious. When the check came, I was blown away we were under $100. What an absolute score.

Loved this place. Stayed at the Hotel Next door. Convenient location. Food was amazing! Ambiance was chill and inviting. The service was excellent and they were very attentive! Bartender was super helpful! Highly recommend this little Hidden Gem!

We were looking for a restaurant within walking distance of our condo and found La Bodeguita de Manolo. The atmosphere is that of an upscale lounge and then we were told that we had to walk towards the back to actually get into the restaurant. It was busy for a Wednesday night so we sat at the bar, which was absolutely no problem at all. Service was efficient and friendly and the food was phenomenal. My sister-in-law had the filet mignon that came with brie and caramelized onions and I had the "Congri con to'", which is like a pork/ black beans and rice/ plantains Bowl with these ultra fine Julienned potatoes on top and cilantro. It was absolutely delicious! Drinks were on point and reasonably priced as well. After dinner we went over to the bar area and had some cocktails. The bartenders were super friendly as were the patrons! Overall we had a great time and will most definitely be back the next time we are in San Juan.

Love love love this spot. Beautiful decor, great bar. Attentive service and the food exceeded my expectations. They have a server there named Melanie who is delightful. Good portion size, good variety of flavors, proteins and tapas. Didn't realize until my third time there that they have a whole other larger adjacent bar/lounge that was equally impressive. If you're in the area, make it a point to visit.

I loved everything about this place. Definitely gives speak easy vibes with its secret entrance. Food was top gear and think drink was delicious. The bartender was not only a wonderful served but he chatted us up and was generally gray. We went during lunch but I would love to check this place out for dinner and when their bar is fully open. The entrance is in a bakery and very easy to miss. A must on the Puerto Rico trip list

Possibly best lamb chops I ever had. White rice was good. Dessert called la bomba also surprisingly good During second visit the steak and white rice were great. Mac and cheese super cheesy in a good way. Very rich The inside decor is amazing A little difficult to find. Speakeasy vibes in a good way. Service was high quality as expected based off prices.

Wow what a well kept secret. This speak easy has everything! Go through the private door into a Puerto Rican Paradise! The food, ambience and service were amazing! And the price for all that was very reasonable!! Dont hesitate to stop by!!

This place is a MUST if you're looking for a fancier dinner outing! It's a speakeasy where you have to enter through Sobao and open a door that looks like a freezer. The food here is absolutely INCREDIBLE. We got the pear and arugula salad to start which was very refreshing. For a main, we saw they had paella on the menu on their website, but came to find out they are no longer offering it anymore :( Instead, our waiter suggested the congri con to which is a rice dish with pork which was absolutely delicious. The flavors were out of this world and it also had a nice kick to it, not too spicy but spicy enough to add a little flair. The waiters were all so nice and the service was amazing. The drinks also looked amazing but we decided we did not want to drink that night. This is a great place for a little fancy date, a group of friends who want to catch up, or if you just want to treat yourself to some good food.

Amazing . Best octopus I've ever had ?! And I've had some great ones . Tender , flavorful, perfectly cooked. Huge portion too . Together with the Filet Mignon tips, also delicious, that was the whole meal! Satiated without feeling stuffed . Highly recommend.

I was blown away by this place. Wow. I ordered a strawberry shrub with lavender sparkling water and vodka. It's a bit on the sweeter side but it's incredible. My fiancé ordered a mojito like drink with mint, lime, and cava that knocked our socks off. The food was also excellent. We got fried octopus, croquettes with ropa vieja and the assorted meats and cheese board. I personally liked the croquettes the best but it was all delicious! But dessert is really where it's at. Order the bread pudding. It's one of the best desserts I've ever had!

She offered to seat us if the party didn't arrive within the grace period. Thankfully, they never showed up, and the table became ours. From that point on, everything was fantastic. Walked into a nice small local restaurant A/C is great in here after that walk to get here. The servers greeted us with a big beautiful welcoming smile which is always the best way to pull me in. Drinks- we got the mojito (classic) and the passion fruit margarita and they were both very nice. Drinks were mixed great where nothing was overwhelming the other. Beef turnover- nice and tasty. The beef was seasoned well with hints of herbal seasonings. It came with a little pepper sauce that wasn't just spicy but had like a sweet pepper and chives flavor as well. Baked pork ribs- got this with the white rice and beans. The beans was well seasoned and tasted really good. The rice was cooked well and with some salt where it's not too much but you can taste a hint of it with every bite. The pork was disappointingly dry. It had a nice flavor almost like smoked but too dry and hard. Fried snapper- this took the cake. It was cooked to perfection where it wasn't dry but soft and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It came with a nice tasting garlic sauce but honestly the sauce over powers the herbal flavor of the fish. Fried cod fish- this was a no no. It was fried like a chip but tasted like oil. The portions were very large, and we would have been fine with just two menu items! To start, we had the roasted eggplant, lamb 'picadillo', date sofrito, 'Feliche' yogurt. For entrees, we tried the (1) rice with rabbit, sweet plantain in its leaf and the (2) breaded pork loin, mushroom cream, cherokee tomatoes from San Lorenzo, tostones. Our server was super excited when we ordered the rice with rabbit and I understand why. It was insanely flavorful. Also a massive portion haha. We really enjoyed this.
