We first heard about birriamen on social media and had to give it a try, and I'm happy to say it did not disappoint! We ordered 3 combos to share so we could all try a few of the different noodles, tacos, and drinks, and the birriamen is by far the best, probably followed by the udon soup with the pork belly. We weren't huge fans of the third soup, which was a different udon bowl. Both the ramen and the udon noodles themselves were a bit overcooked, but flavor-wise everything was pretty good, and it was interesting to try Japanese noodles with different broths.
I believe we tried a chorizo, a beef, and a chicken taco, and all of them were surprisingly delicious. They also have a condiment bar with some kinda sad-looking cilantro, but the salsas and the chips (not sure what else to call them, but there's basically a container of fried tortillas that we broke apart and ate as chips) were awesome! Definitely worth a try if you've had street food all day and want to change it up. read more
