They are flexible in allowing make-ups too. We've had several birthday parties there as well and all in attendance had a blast! The party rooms fit a decent amount of people so being able to have pizza and cake is definitely a huge plus. Most recently, Diamond was hit by the storm knocking out power. Rather than canceling the summer camp, they powered up with generators and made it work for everyone and they had a great time. I think that if you are on the fence about sending your child to classes or booking a party, it's an easy decision to go with Diamond.

They have multiple private rooms, which makes having an event here super easy. There seems to be only one restroom in the back area, but everything was very clean throughout the entire facility. Our kids all ran around across the gym area and they had several attendants on staff. One (I assume the lead) was incredibly thoughtful and perceptive. He knew one of the kids had a medical issue and made sure to check in with the mother of that child, ensure he knew whom she was, asked if there were any triggers, what to look for if something was beginning to occur, etc. That in and of itself won me over 100% - that person obviously takes a lot of pride in their work and the safety and fun of those in attendance. We did pizza and cupcakes in the room - it was a bit tight but we were a very large group (over 20+ kids plus parents). My only, teeny tiny comment is that, after a neighboring party ended, they used a very harsh chemical (pine sol?) to completely clean and disinfect. I LOVE that they are diligent and thorough about cleaning, but wish they had a fan or air purifier running while they operated cleaning because several of the parents any myself had to move away and cover our noses due to a burning feeling by just being around the corner from this.

I wanted to be able to workout, have fun, laugh, hear a kick ass playlist to help motivate my workout once fatigue settles in as well as not be in a studio with a class of zombies or boring folks. The instructors have sense of humors and down to earth. I signed up for a free class and never looked back. They have pushed me to challenge myself physically. Even on the days when I can't feel my arms or my legs feel like Jello, I still return.

The class begins and you're transported into a high energy excursion of physical activity. I tried the spin class with Jon, it was fantastic! I was a beginner and he did a great job and showing me the poses as well as adjusting the height on the bike. I did a 45min class, it was intense but I made it! Keep pushing through and with the instructors motivation you'll make it! Remember to breath! I would definitely come back here, it's great for beginners ! The tour included looking at all the treadmill room, locker room, pool, gym and weight room. With the resurgence of big name gyms like Blink, Power Fitness and even local ones like Coloseum this to me makes them blush with a comparable membership price but offering so much. The sign up process was fine, though they only accept direct withdrawals from a bank account which is kinda disappointing but hence the drop in star but the staff all seemed to be very friendly and they accomodate adults, children groups of people with disabliities as well as seniors looking to play 'pickle ball'. It brought back memories coming here and I'm glad its still around, serving the area all these servoces that a lot of other places would either be higher or wouldn't offer all under the same roof.

My boyfriend who I signed up with using the 20/20 referral program was adamant about trying to find a gym with extra amenities such as a pool and basketball court in which I agreed to. I come to work out around 3-4 times a week at this location and here are my thoughts. Parking can be tough if you come during peak times such as after work and weekends. The staff is friendly and they maintain the facilities cleanly and diligently. There are very restricted times and days you are able to come in for laps or shooting hoops so if you think you will sign up and go there as you please, that is unfortunately not the case.. While the basketball court area is nice and the pool is warm, the gym is pretty small and very congested. The lifting area is always dominated by males and you generally have to wait to use a lot of the popular machines. Collectively with the discount my boyfriend and I spend around $70 a month in the beginning of each month. Here is some important news, if you are looking to cancel your membership be sure to give them a full 30 days notice cause they is no such thing as a "cancellation fee" which I found to be really odd.

Having lived in the neighborhood for a few years we were excited to explore the facility as a possible daycare option for our 5 month old. Even if it meant putting our names on the waitlist. Well, after submitting the online ELC interest form and calling a couple of times, with no response back, I decided to stroll down the block and inquire within. I didn't intend to tour right then but I was hoping to schedule a future tour, to be able to compare all my Essex county infant daycare picks & make an educated decision. I explained to Carol that I made many attempts to contact the Montclair YMCA Learning Center regarding their Infant program & never got a response. In my opinion, Carol was cold, and seemed uninterested in providing any information. She called Justine and informed her that I've not had anyone reach back out to me, then returned from the call to tell me that there's a wait list, that the wait is a year long and that unless it's close to the time for enrollment, I would not be allowed to tour. When I asked Carol about the weekly cost, she said she didn't know and didn't want to "bother" Justine and call again cause she's busy and has meetings. I think if I was a white woman Carol would have called her back immediately and would've been much more pleasant in her interaction with me. Whomever set up that process didn't think it through because now based on what Carol shared- I'd have to wait close to 1 year to view the facility, with zero clue as to how it looks or differentiates from other day care centers and with no concept of the cost. Why would I be interested in putting my name on a wait list when you've provided me zero info and you're saying that it'll take close to a year for you to share any info? Very poor experience here.

Lake Hopatcong is totally no nonsense. Old school weights and equipment. A bit snug if it is a little crowded but gets the job done. No real locker room and no showers. Rockaway is the largest of the three. A bit newer equipment and more spread out. This is the location I visit the most as I go after work, never feel cramped in there. No formal locker room, but there are lockers on the main floor. There are 3 changing rooms and 1 shower room... I can't imagine that being a bit hectic for the before work crowd. Stanhope is the newest location. a bit smalller than Rockaway, but a nice layout. All newer equipment, clean, nice layout. Only been there a handful of times. This location has a formal locker room, with separate changing room and 3 shower stalls in the mens locker room. Cant speak for the womens locker room. Overall, Stanhope is a very nice spot. My only gripe, and it is with all 3 locations are the treadmills. Lake Hopatcong, can barely get them to operate. Rockaway, 1 is broken, 1 has a deck that isn't level and is broken, the rest are ok. Stanhope has the newest ones, but of the 8, 5 had slipping belts that make it dangerous to walk on, let alone try to run or jog, one is super noisy. I get it, these gyms are geared more towards lifting weights and body building, not oblivious to that. A day of maintenance on the treadmills would get 5 stars. Aside from the treadmills, I really like all 3 locations.
