The Doctor seems to know his stuff but was unsuccessful in helping me. After seven visits there was nothing more he could do for me except suggest PT. It bothered me intensely that the treatment bench was next to his office desk which looked like a tornado had hit it. It was in total disarray, piled with a messy assortment of files, cards, papers, etc. I wondered how the doctor could keep track of patients when he lacked basic organizational skills. I started going there one year ago, and couldn't be happier. I was having neck stiffness and lower back pain, which was quickly addressed after a few visits. At one visit, Dr. Haley asked mentioned that she during our first couple of visits, I didn't raise my right arm very high - I explained that I 'blew out' my shoulder way back in college and couldn't raise it over my head or throw a baseball, without a lot of pain. Dr. Calhoun is fantastic! With him working on my hips, I went from struggling to walk and having difficulty climbing stairs to feeling great in just 10 days (5 visits in those 10 days). I injured my knee in the process of moving to Massachusetts and since I was in between insurance at the time, I knew chiropractors were the best option care and cost value wise for my situation. Based on the reviews I read, I picked Dr. Calhoun and I was not disappointed. When I scheduled my first appointment, they were able to fit me in with a a couple of days. After not being able to put weight on my leg for five days, I could start putting light pressure by the end of the day and cautiously walking by the end of the weekend. I continued to see Dr. Calhoun every couple of days to keep the knee aligned while it heeled (including a re-injury!) and then started seeing him to work on my lower back issues and general alignment. I went to Dr. Calhoun today for the first time. WOWEE - he gave me so much info, but not so much that I cannot recall all the tips and "homework". I took an online questionnaire before going to first appt, and he read over it and asked me questions, very precisely. He even asked me about seasonal allergies- I had only put MED allergies - wasn't sure he needed to know about my spring hay fever....well, I was wrong and he picked up on it. Another nice thing was he took a lot of time to explain the WHY behind my sore neck and gave me awesome tips to practice at home. He said over time he's certain my posture AND the pains will improve and go away, in that order. I'm psyched. I did go to a chiropractor in burlington many years ago, but over time it was not helping my migraines, And frankly, that Dr. never pegged my issues as posture and how I lower my head to read, text, etc. Additionally, I was not rushed! Most Dr's seem to be late and then they scoot you right out the door. No question was too "dumb" (my words!) - in fact he liked them, LOL. Although I am there for migraines and posture issues, he does have a specialty in sports, and I know MANY who have had terrific success with him for repairing injured and getting back to their game. read more

I started seeing Dr. Calhoun when I played football at Merrimack College. I was looking for a chiropractor in the area an his office is right across the street from Merrimack so I figured I would give it a shot. It has been 8 years since I first visited him and I haven't seen another chiropractor since. When I first started seeing him it was because I had a lingering hip injury from being in a car accident and playing football. He was able to improve my hip pain as well as help with various other injuries that I received from playing football. He helped me with a wide range of injuries from simple muscle strains and pulls to back spasms and jaw pain from TMJ. He always seemed to have a different tool or technique to use on whatever new injury I had.
