Zero stars, but would not let me put that. Unfortunately I did not have the same positive experience for Dr. Martone. I was referred to him from a family member after my chiropractor retired. I had seen my chiropractor for almost 15 years. I am a nurse and have chronic neck and back issues. The intake process was pleasant and long. Received X-rays, which being in the medical field felt the machine was old and outdated. After waiting for over an hour talking with the intake staff I asked if I'd be seeing the doctor. They told me I would need to make another appointment. I was pretty frustrated and told them didn't realize I wouldn't actually be seen. At that point they were able to get me a few minutes with the doctor. Dr Martone was pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. I specifically told him I did not want my neck manually manipulated. Which basically means him twisting my neck and cracking it, or adjusting it. I told him I had it done before and did not feel well after. In addition had taken care of a young woman who had manually manipulation done by a chiropractor and ended up with a carotid dissection and a massive stroke. Dr Martone assured me he would not do manual manipulation. He stood behind me and placed his hands on my head and neck and did exactly what I asked him not to do. I immediately felt sick to my stomach and asked why he did that. His reply was "well don't you feel better?" I did not. I promptly left the office and have not returned. As a nurse with more than 30 years of experience I was amazed at Dr. Martone's unprofessional behavior and arrogance. I honestly felt that the whole experience felt cult like in nature and really felt badly for the patients sitting in the waiting room. I have mentored and worked with hundreds of doctors in my career and to have someone lie to me and do something I asked not to be done to me only supports the uneasy feeling Dr Martone gave me. I would not recommend Dr Martone to others. read more

If you had told me that I would be frequenting a chiropractic facility ever and was thoroughly enjoying both the experience and the results, I would have to introduce myself to you because you certainly do not know me! At the behest of my senior of two wonderful daughters, I surrendered to her "gentle arm twisting" and agreed to visit her chiropractor, Dr. Peter Martone. That's how this story begins. I am known far and wide as one of the "biggest babies on the North Shore of Massachusetts" when it comes to dealing with folks who attempt to keep other folks healthy. What an awakening! I entered a "safe portal" on that day manned (womaned?) by staff women Lori and Lindsay. These women are truly "angels" who have fallen to Earth to help those of us unable to help ourselves. I entered this atmosphere of Family care and concern. Dr. Martone, in a very short period of time, became someone that I felt I had known forever. He wears his concern for his patients on his sleeve along with a wardrobe of shirts for every occasion! From the welcoming to the center, through the intake procedure, to the opening session with the doctor, this was and is a first class organization. Now, after several months and improvements in pain management, mobility, and flexibility, I will soon be released back into the wild to continue my mission in life. However, I have told Lori, Lindsay, and the doctor that when that day arrives, I am not leaving! I plan on attending thrice weekly sessions plopped down on the welcoming area couches visiting with those folks who have made such an impact on my life. Thanks for the memories, my friends. I was a patient here for over a year. Friendly staff (Laurie is the best) adequate adjustments but little else I'm the way of treatment. Appointments lasted approximately 5 minutes. Peter crams as many people in as he can to keep cashing in but that is pretty common with some chiropractors. I moved on and requested my x-rays through email, no response. Sent another email, no response. After over a week, I called his office and confirmed he received my request even though he didn't respond to the email I sent. I was told I would receive the X-rays soon. Another week later I called again, left a message, no return call. Four or five days later I called again and was told they were sent two days prior. Waited a week, still never received the X-rays when I live in the same town as his office. About a month total still no X-rays, seems like Peter is playing games because I moved on. When considering a local option for a chiropractor, look elsewhere. read more

Great help when I really needed it Last week I hurt my back - so much so that I was having trouble walking, bending, etc. and I visited Atlantis Chiropractic. The intake and diagnosis was seamless and while it was not great to hear that I was a "textbook case" I knew I was in good hands in terms of treatment and I felt like there was a plan in place to attack what I was dealing with. I was too locked up to adjust that day, but I returned days later for a quick adjustment that literally reset my entire frame of reference: Pain was gone, balance returned and I was able to move with more certainty. I have a lot of work ahead of me to undo years of what my desk/plane/car related career has done, but I look forward to working with Dr. Martone and team to get there! read more

I began taking my son to see Dr. Martone when I was at my wit's end with him being sick all the time. He has been in daycare since he was 3 months old. The daycare is very clean but he was catching every cold or virus out there. He had fevers almost weekly and strep throat three times. His pediatrician wasn't concerned because these were common illnesses and he wasn't 'sickly'. He also began having recurring ear infections, was on antibiotics and eventually had ear tubes placed. My husband and I were constantly taking turns missing work and we weren't sure if one of us should stay home and pull him out of daycare. We felt horrible seeing him sick all the time. My husband suggested bringing him to see Dr. Martone and the rest is history! My son loves him - he has a great demeanor and is very kind. He explains chiropractic care well. My son went from being out of daycare at least once a week to not missing a day in many months. When he seems slightly off or snuggly like he may be coming down with something, we take him right in. Dr. Martone can tell if something is coming on or if he's in the middle of it by feeling his lymph nodes and spine. A few adjustments during a visit (which to my son are hugs and tickles) and he can avoid sickness altogether, or if we didn't catch it in time, it passes much faster and is less severe. A chiropractic adjustment is like a 200% boost to your immune system. I get adjusted as well. I wouldn't write this if I didn't actually see results myself. Not all chiropractors are created equal! Dr. Martone is a real healer who is very caring of his patients and takes the time to educate them. He brought on Dr. Nick to his practice. I didn't think there could be anyone who was like Dr. Martone but he managed to find a clone - someone who is as enthusiastic and caring. Dr. Nick is wonderful. They both take their time and listen to you and really love what they do. My son has taken to them both and enjoys his visits. It is literally their mission to make you healthy. I cannot say enough good things about these two. I thank you for taking the time to read my lengthy review, hopefully this has convinced you to try this practice and you get healed.
