Extremely upset as I write this review. My appointment was canceled 15 minutes before my arrival as I was driving to my destination. The receptionist said they called and I did get a call but I was behind the wheel. They didn't even bother to call more than one time and didn't leave a message. What ever number they used was the not the number listed on the yelp page. The weather was raining cats and dogs and parking is a nightmare. I rescheduled but not looking forward to it. I recommend getting better receptionist that has common sense. If their canceling sooner, try to call more than once cause the patient is driving to the destination. read more

Crown Today! I went back for my crown (after root canal. See other review ... Whereas the first experience was flawless, this was not. The Dr. matters!! Dr. Pedram is horrible! Just No! First, he could not explain a procedure that I wanted more detail about. He didn't give me enough pain medication, felt the drill a few times and when I told him ... he said that's just my gums! (Excuse me, but is there a separate charge to get those numbed too )... his standard response was "thank you for your patience", but he just kept saying it like a bot ... like he was programmed to say that, but not to take a beat to see if there were concerns ... when there were concerns he just rushed right past them ... he was way to rough! He barely gave his assistant, Frieda (who I loved), enough time to suction me ... while the saliva and tooth particles kept sliding down my throat ... and one time I started gagging and almost as soon as Frieda tried to suction my mouth he says lay back and open your mouth ... but the kicker was when he was about to tell Frieda to go ahead and go to lunch that he could do the rest by himself ... in the middle of the procedure! She said "I'm fine staying", because she could see how anxious that made me ... but he instead began to insist that she go! When I said I preferred that she stayed, he started arguing with me saying that is the way it's done and at 12p they go to lunch ... to which I responded that he shouldn't have started the procedure if he didn't have enough time, and that arguing with me in the middle of the procedure made me nervous. She, thankfully, stayed ... but i DO NOT see how he could have managed alone, given the amount of assistance that was needed moving forward. I could not wait to get out of that chair! He kept saying that everything looked good as he finished ... and sitting here, 2 hours after the procedure ... I know that isn't true! I can still feel the rough, messy bonding that he did, gripping to the side of my tooth, and feels like he may have nicked the side of my tongue with his drill! I'm not saying that you should not give that dental office a try ... just don't use him ... just don't! read more

My dad (who does not speak much English) just came back from the dentist appointment here and said it was a horrible experience. First they said he needed a deep clean and would not offer him a regular cleaning because that it "isn't their practice to do so". They said it would cost $250 for a deep clean on the right side and another $250 for a deep clean on the left side on follow up appointment. After they tried bullying my dad to get a deep clean that day and taking advantage of the fact that he can't speak English, they finally agreed to give him a regular cleaning when I spoke with them (which is covered by his insurance). The care by his dentist was awful. The regular cleaning lasted all of 5 minutes and they sent him out. If you aren't paying for a deep clean, don't bother wasting your time here. They won't bother actually cleaning your teeth unless you do. read more

This is honestly the best dental office I've been to in my 27 years of life lol. The staff made me feel welcomed from the moment I stepped foot in the door until I left. They did an exam and tell you everything that needs to be done and ask what you what like to get done while in office. They are upfront with the pricing which is great and Everything was clean. They were a little busy but the dental assistant made sure to update me every step of the way which I appreciated. My experience: Made appointment for a cleaning including an exam and X-rays. Appointment was canceled and rescheduled twice because the dentist was not available. I was contacted a third time and asked if I could move the appointment again. I was unable to accommodate this request. In all four instances of contact with the dental office (3 calls with a receptionist & 1 call from the office manager), I made it clear that my main goal of the appointment was a cleaning. Upon arrival at the appointment, I spoke with the office manager and reiterated that I was there for a cleaning, exam and x-rays. At this point, the office manager told me that the dentist would tell me the type of cleaning she would recommend and provide. A very nice technician took X-rays of my teeth. After X-rays, I was moved to another room to wait for the exam and cleaning by the dentist. The dentist arrived to the office late because of traffic. I think the technician was trying to be efficient with time, so she polished my teeth while we were waiting for the dentist. In my experience, polishing happens after cleaning, but I did not object to the order. The dentist arrived and examined my teeth. She then proceeded to recommend a deep cleaning. I thanked her for the information but told her that for financial reasons, I would like to proceed with the basic cleaning that is fully covered by my insurance. The dentist informs me that the people at the front desk will determine if she's able to clean my teeth. I was completely confused by this because the office manager said the dentist will provide the service. At this time, the technician informed the dentist that my teeth were polished before the dentist arrived. This information seemed to be dismissed by the dentist. The dentist and the technician left the room and headed towards the front desk. The office manager then comes into the room and tells me he's going to "escort" me out because they cannot provide a cleaning today. He says that I have to schedule an appointment for a Friday because that's the only day that the hygenist/teeth cleaner provides teeth cleaning. To reiterate, I had spoken with a representative from this dental practice 4 times before encountering the dentist and Fridays were never mentioned. Was I denied a cleaning because I didn't opt for the more expensive deep cleaning? read more

I have had many different dental experiences but this one by far is the best. If you have had bad experiences in the past they will restore your faith and your teeth. The only reason this isn't five stars is because I'm very particular about legal documents and they have you sign a lot of blank sheets of paper reassuring you that they will be used for one thing or another. I am from Virginia so I'm not sure if this is a common thing in California; it just makes me a little uncomfortable. Dr. Dan (I hope that's correct) and his hygienist however, were amazing! I got two Fill-ins done and Dr. Dan was very patient with me as I had not had dental care in over five years and was a bit nervous. He didn't mind answering any questions that I had, and appeared very composed and confident while carrying out the procedure. The young lady he worked with was a great complement to his skills as she made sure that anytime I showed signs of discomfort she would have him stop so that my needs were addressed and he could continue the procedure. I waited a while to see how my teeth felt before writing my review and we are three weeks later with no sensitivity, pain, or discomfort whatsoever (and this was a large cavity). He also used filling material that matched my tooth before I asked which was a plus . I will keep you all updated on my journey as I have a bit more work I hope to have done. read more

So grateful to Cali Care Dental for taking care of us the way that they did! My daughter fell and hurt her tooth when playing while we were visiting family out of town.
