I would really really like to come back here. But it's hard for me to shake off the anxiety l've built with this office. Although Dr. Davidson is amazing and so so sweet, the staff have sparked terrible anxiety. As an autistic woman, it's hard for me to face uncomfortable situations. We were not able to show up to our appointment because my grandma had passed away, and were still told that we need to pay the fee of missing an appointment. As a low income mother, who is definitely trying her best, I can't help but not want to show my face around after the intense feeling of owing charges for not showing up and I understand why that policy is implemented, but life has crisis and I wish that empathy was there. On top of that, my fiance shares with me that the staff told him about my dental health and what I had going on, I am upset that my private info was shared regardless if he's my fiance or not, I want to say that is possibly a violation of HIPAA, I really do love it here, my fiance loves it here, and other than that I would not have anything bad to say about this read more

i had a image transformation in one visit. Dr Davidson had done in office cap, deep cleaning, regular cleanings and fillings. On this particular visit Dr. Davidson had done three fillings and when done inquired about the short tooth in the front of my mouth and asked if she could try something to even my front teeth out. She said she had time. Office staff checked with my insurance and got approval The cost was minimal and I agreed to go for it. I have been going to Dr. Davidson for the past three years when I moved here. Besides my bi-annual teeth cleaning, she has also crowned several of my seventy something year old teeth. But my biggest concern had been my discolored, uneven and crowded front teeth. Dr. Davidson had given me the information of the various procedures she could address my concerns and Andrea, in the front office, had run the numbers for me on each procedure and what my out of pocket would be. This week, I am happy to say, that Dr. Davidson tended to my needs with a non invasive procedure that I could afford. She spent almost 12 hours over a 3 day period carefully and patiently remodeling my four top front teeth. She worked diligently to shape them into 4 perfectly straight white teeth. She is very professional, talks you through the procedure, and in my case, a perfectionist in the reshaping and remodeling of my teeth with the professionalism of an artist. She is passionate about leaaving her patients happy with the work done in her office, and it shows with the concerned, committed and friendly dental hygienists, assistants and office staff she has chosen. Their proactive, forward looking approach to dental care is what encouraged me to come here in the first place. If I'd had this type of care in the past, I'd probably have had healthier teeth. We bought our home in the east bay and its been a hassle to make an appointment and getting To/from our old dentist office. So we looked for a new one in the east bay, we reached out to 4 locations and Davidson Dental group was the first to call us back. Upon arriving we were greeted by Andrea who gave us a big hug and offered us coffee. The wait area is charming and inviting. Even the exam rooms looks like it has been recently renovated equipped with all new state of the art equipments. I believe my hygienist said she been there for over 25 years which showed through her work she was very gentle and meticulous and checked up me constantly to make sure i was ok. And Dr Davidson was a gem she thoroughly went thru my x-rays and photos and gave her input/advice and answered all my questions. My husband and i are really glad we found this place. Excellent dentist and staff. Modern and beautiful office. I was a new client looking for a local dentist to put on a crown after having a root canal. Receptionist Andrea made me an appointment set for three days later. Upon arrival I was greeted with care and professionalism. Once in the chair Carla ( fresh out of dental school took down my concerns and fears). Afterwards Jeannette took over, giving me a blanket and music until Dr Davidson was ready to see me. Dr Davidson and Jeannette were and awesome team. Explaining their word every step of the way. Preparing my tooth and making my crown. Yes one stop shop. They have the sophisticated technology you make and insert your crown without have to come back. Where as most dentist make a temporary crown and you have to go back for second and third visits. Did I mention they were in the delta dental network which made it easier on the pocket. Dr Davidson has an extraordinary practice. Went when the Dad ran the office (15 yrs ago ?) went back bc they were super mellow - not anymore Apparently the Daughter who know runs the office is broke because all they do is try to SELL SELL SELL it is off putting and frankly weird Here is the stuff they tried to sell me: Invisalign fluoride fix a filing that was not bothering me a bit but they 'did not like the way it looked' (3k worth) - told them no at the time They just called me back (few moths later) to get me to have the work done on the filing - I was MAD - I told them - NO They are behaving like time share sales people or commissioned sales people - not health care professionals. VERY DISAPPOINTED! I have requested Andrea several times over the phone and via email to send me a copy of my x-ray. Andrea promised me 3x last week that she will send the x-ray via email however I never receive the document. I have a right as a patient to have a copy of my medical records and do whatever I want with it. Why would you withhold my x-ray just because you found out that I'm going to seek for a second opinion? Instead of listening to my request, Andrea kept on pressuring me to make an appointment for a crown. Andrea thought I could easily be duped. Mind you, I was told by my endodontist recently to wait for the tooth to heal before planning on having a crown done. It just shows that this office is NOT after preventive dentistry. It took me a long time to write this review, because I take someone's livelihood very seriously, and I don't want to jeopardize someone's ability to run a lucrative business. But I do think this is something that current and future patients should know about the practice. My wife and I went to Dr. Davidson for about two years, and had similar experiences. I personally haven't required that much dental work over the years, and had not had any dentists recommend significant work for years before I had seen Dr. Davidson. For two years, she didn't recommend any either. Then, one day, she recommended drilling into 8 different teeth. Some she identified as requiring immediate care, and some she recommended "preemptive" work on. In addition, for the first time anyone had recommended it, she recommended Invisalign for me. The total cost of her recommended work would have been $17,000, and I was encouraged to speak to the front desk immediately to set up a financial plan to pay it. I thought about her recommendations for a few days, and called back with concerns. I wanted to give her the chance to explain that not all of her recommendations were things I NEEDED to have done, but might have been helpful suggestions. Basically, I was trying to give her a chance to explain why she had suddenly after two years of non-invasive care recommended the most invasive treatment I would have ever gotten. She called me back and told me, "I wouldn't have recommended it if you didn't need it." That was six years ago. I went to another dentist in San Leandro, who asked me to keep their name out of this, but I was under there care for several years following Dr. Davidson, and didn't require anything more than a cleaning. My teeth are very straight, so the idea that I was being sold on Invisalign seemed ridiculous to my new dentist. Last year, I moved out of California, and I just went to see a new dentist last week. Again, we went through a thorough evaluation of my teeth, and I only needed a cleaning. My wife, who typically needs much more dental care than I do, still had the experience where she was being upsold on treatment that even she didn't need. I've never written a review like this about someone who is a health care practitioner, but I do question the ethics of the treatment recommendations I received. I would strongly caution current and future patients to get second opinions on Dr. Davidson's recommendations. read more

I am so glad I chose Davidson Dental for my dental care. It's been years since I've done a check up with my oral hygiene and thanks to my new job for offering me insurance, I'm able to get back on my healthy journey with my teeth! They were the first to pop up on my dental insurance website after seeing all of the reviews, I made an appointment through their website and received a call from Andrea minutes later. They were able to take me in the next day. I left their office earlier today feeling confident. And this is something I've never felt before due to past experiences being horrible and it used to give me so much anxiety going to the dentist. Took a look at my teeth and got all of the information needed before Dr. Davidson was able to tend to me. After inspecting my teeth, I was given a ton of information. As scary as it was to hear the details, I didn't feel scared. I actually felt relieved knowing that everything can be fixed.
