I've been here a total of three times and the first two were absolutely amazing. They were the best shaped and best polished nails I've ever gotten. But, within the last week or so, I noticed my nails lifting and today my middle right nail popped off to reveal an early onset nail fungus. It's supposedly normal, so I went to get them redone. Today I got an older lady whose name I think is Linda. Right off the bat she filed my nails down WAY too much, and it was hurting but I didn't want to say anything. I don't know what happened but the acrylic is all over my skin, going under my natural nails and under my skin in my cuticles. Her filing technique was so bad that she had made me bleed and/or caused pain on almost all of my fingers, and I started crying and told her that I wasn't happy with them and wanted them removed (we hadn't even got to filing down the actual acrylic yet, let alone painting them). She tried to put them in the acetone but my fingers were so damaged that it burned horribly and then said I wanted to just go home. She gave me a nail file and then proceeded to ask me to pay $20, which I did. After this experience, I'm finally over it. I'm getting my own supplies and doing gelx at home. read more

Cali Nails is in a convenient location for me, so it happens to be a place I've been to several times. The prices are fair, the salon is very clean, and the techs are really nice, but after going to other nail salons in the surrounding area I wouldn't choose to go to Cali Nails over other salons. The only reason I went this last time was because they opened the earliest in the area, and I needed an early appointment due to the activities I had going on that day. Surrounding salons provide much better quality services though some prices can be higher than Cali Nails. However, I would still pay a higher price for better quality. My last appointment proved to remind me why I was going to other salons in the area. My full set was very rushed, and the acrylic nails were not sized properly therefore looking oversized over my real nails. My toes also currently have air bubbles in the paint. They also didn't know I wanted a pedicure though I made an appointment. Actually, I called and left a voicemail and emailed the salon to request an appointment on that day at that specific time. When I didn't hear back I went into the salon to make an appointment in person requesting a full set and a pedicure. I even asked how long that would take and she responded with an hour and a half. I made this appointment on Tuesday.... my appointment was that Friday. When I got to my appointment I was seated immediately and my full set was underway. When I was asking about colors for my toes the technician asked if I also wanted a pedicure. I responded with yes and that I made an appointment through several channels of communication. She said they did not have a pedicure down for me. I then asked if they could get me in right away and she responded with a question asking if I could wait. I told her I couldn't because I had other activities I needed to get to hence why I made the earliest appointment that I could (please note, I did not say what time I had to leave the salon and was patient throughout the process...me having other activities should have had no effect on the rushing). She then did my pedicure right after my full set was done. Honestly, I am almost glad that they didn't have me down for a pedicure, because my full set was rushed as is and would have looked even worse had they known they had to make room for a pedicure too. Needless to say, I will be going elsewhere for my fill in. Again, the technicians are extremely friendly, but the quality of work is not what I would expect. read more

This place is super dirty and unsanitary. They have 3 different tiers of pedicures and when I asked what the second tier included she said "I use all the stuff in that Tupperware bin" and pointed to this disgustingly dirty like bucket that was filled with crud and hair and all sorts of crap I was like umm I'll pass thanks. Then, I had to ask her to clean away all the excess nail polish that she was just going to leave there. Also, they have no colors to choose from and all the polish is old and goopy, she had to add thinner which I hate when they do. Also, my pedicure looked horrible! She basically just painted my toes because the next day I noticed so much cuticle that wasn't removed I was super embarrassed and actually had to redo my pedicure. Unacceptable. The only good thing was she gave me a great foot and leg massage. Still not enough to make me go back though I was so worried I was going to get an infection from that skeezy place. Can I say I loved the look of my nails the first time I had them filled here. At the second fill I noticed the nails were super thick and the nail polish a little sloppy, The nails also lifted within a week, I could remove them while soaking them in the bath tub within 15 min. PLUS I found a fungal infection that matched the last fill. BAD BAD EXPERIENCE!!! read more

I went here for a mani-pedi with a friend who had been here before. I have only had one manicure before in my life, so I wasn't expecting a lot. Started with the pedicure, where I sat in a chair and was handed a menu of options. I didn't get what I asked for, but just went along with it. I ended up not getting charged for it anyway? A bug of noticeable size fell on my lap from somewhere, and nobody seemed phased. The lady who was working on my nails was much faster than my friend's service...but it looked kind of sloppy and the top coat was really terrible. Moving on to the manicure...now that I got to see all the tools and how they were stored up close I decided right then I would never come back here / never actually get a manicure again. Everything seemed unclean. Colour selection wasn't great. Manicure didn't even last that long and I ended up removing the pedicure not long after since it looked so sloppy. Not worth the money or risk of infection, go somewhere else. read more

I have never witnessed the "dirty environment " as described by the othe reviewers. i have always witnessed the ladies sterilizing the equipment immediately after they are finished wand the place is clean . You never have to wait too long and although there is one older tech that polishes hap hazard ( I just avoid her ) all the other ladies do a great job. My gel last two + weeks and the pedicures are great . read more
