Ask or their prices BEFORE you sit down!! I called and made an appointment for a gel mani and regular pedi. I asked how long that would take and was told 90 mins for both. When I arrived, No prices were posted anywhere. I expected when I sat down for my pedi that I would get a Menu to chose which option I wanted. No menu, no price discussion. Amy removed an ingrown and my big toe was bleeding. She took care of it , but ouch. Literally 2 min foot message and that's the best part. I asked for more time and she said $20 for 10 minute massage. She talked me into a gel pedi $10 more. I still had no idea what a basic pedi cost.
Next the gel french manicure. This time I asked how much and she said $50. I said is there an upcharge for anything? She again said $50 for my manicure. She wouldn't answer if there was an upcharge for the french or how much the upcharge was. If it was a ridiculous amount I would have just gone with regular color. Ok $50.
Next I am looking at the clock and I have a friend picking me up. I asked how much longer for the paint job. Amy said 15 mins I will be done. Well she pulls out this nail polish paint brush with 4 bristles on it to pain my white part of my french. I ask her for a thicker white tip than she was painting. So she did and thankfully it only needed one coat. As we are approaching 2 hours I said maybe she could go a little faster as my ride was waiting. She yelled at me "Since I asked for a thicker white tip it was taking her longer." If you ask me it was the brush with the 4 bristles on it that made it a longer appointment.
When I go to pay I see a sign no credit cards. Really, a store in the mall that doesn't accept credit cards?? Ok. so I have a debit card and used that. The person at the front desk tells me my bill is $65 for pedi and $50 for the mani total is $129.00. They ad tax and then expect you to tip on the taxed amount. Apparently this machine you need to run debit as credit. They ran it twice as debit despite me telling them it won't work that way.
They flat out refused to run credit and demanded cash. Thankfully, I had enough cash on me. If you go there just expect the appontment to be longer than quoted, upcharges, no prices posted and bring cash! read more
