The technician that worked on my nails did terrible job, I found them to be unprofessional and insensitive to the request of their clients and do not live up to their mistakes. I went in for a full set and it was toward the end of the night so I didn't want to be too picky but I should have. They were way too thick and uneven. I went back the next day and they said they didn't have time for me to come back later. It wouldn't be a big deal but while sitting getting my nails done the first time they said the same thing to a couple other people that came in with complaints so apparently it's a pattern. They are very unprofessional me and my husband came in to get a pedicure by the time we were finished with the pedicure. I was supposed to also get a full set. They took a whole Nother person in front of me. So now my pedicure is done and the lady that was doing my husband manicure had finished and she still was not ready for me. I ask the rude lady at the first both how long would it take because that was a whole different person than the person that was there before and she lied and said it was the same person. I would give zero stars if I could. My husband and I went in yesterday to both get manicures and pedicures. First of all, $50 is a lot for that combo of services. We're from California and used to paying closer to $35-40 and I used to get full sets and pedicures for $55 total. So price point isn't great. On top of that, I had to have 2 of my nails fixed while still in the shop due to bubbling from the nail tech not allowing enough time for coats to dry between application. And now, the literal next day, less than 24 hours later, 6 of my nails already have lost polish. Must be low quality polish or something. Mind you, I did not get no-chip, but when I paint my nails at home, I get at least 48 hours with regular $3 nail polish from Walmart. So if I'm paying $50 I'd like to get more than 18 hours of use. We will NOT be returning. TLDR: nail polish came off in 18 hours, overpriced, and rushed. read more

I have had my nails done in a LOT of places all over lake county. I would say this is average on the list if receiving any type of acrylic or gel nail. The prices are good so I know that's attractive to many. However for a new set of acrylic nails I had to keep telling him Oval, he made them rounded square, and after 5 tries of trying to explain I just gave up. I also thought the color selection was not that great - lots of reds but anything else wasn't that much to choose from. Now for a Pedicure they are awesome!!! Great prices still and compared to a salon I frequent in Grayslake they spend way more time on the spa like service - exfoliating and massaging with lotion. I will definitely come here again, and hope that maybe my next nail tech will be a little more experienced with the styles and shapes. read more

They get two stars because the manager was quick to fix the problem, but by that point it was too late; the damage was already done. I came in mid-day on a Sunday for a pedicure and was seated immediately. Unfortunately all of the nail techs were busy with other customers, so I sat in the chair for over a half hour with my feet soaking before someone got to me. The "someone" was a gentleman who came in the front door and headed straight for me. I got the feeling that they called him to come in from another one of their nail salons in the area. I asked for a french pedicure and he took all of 15 minutes to go through the entire process. All he did was lotion my legs, cut my cuticles, put a tiny, thin line of white polish on the tips (so thin that you couldn't even tell I had polish on my toes when I stood up) and one coat of clear white. Oh and he managed to cut my toe and make it bleed without so much as an "I'm sorry". When he was done, instead of walking me over to the drier, he told me to sit there. Then he went to work on someone elses manicure. When I decided I had sat there long enough, I started gathering my things when one of the other techs called him over to help me. Again, too late. Since I was so unhappy with the enitre ordeal, the manager asked another one of the techs to fix my pedicure and she did an excellent job, but after two hours for a pedicure I will not be going to this location again. read more

I've always had my nails done here and they've done a great job with my gel nails until today. About a month ago, I started getting gel nails. They are stronger and no chip so it was great for work. Two weeks later I snapped one of them at work so I went in for a fill and had it repaired. Recently, since it's been a month since I've had the gels, two of them started to bend during work. One of them completely snapped off leaving me with half a nail, and so the other one that was about to snap off, I just peeled it off after much pain. Today I went into Cali nails to get the whole set removed. I did my research and saw that in order to remove the gels. They had to soak it in acetone. Now. I get there at about 1PM. Ask for a nail removal. I sit at 4 waiting to get them removed. After 5-10 minutes the man seats me to seat 5. He was a very nice man. And looked at my snapped nail. I asked him to remove the rest of the 8. He doesn't use acetone. Instead. He takes a nail clipper and cuts my nail right in the middle. Picks up a fake plastic nail and began removing the gel by scraping it off by putting the fake nail in between my real nail and the gel. He not only ruined my nails to where my nail was hurting (considering my nails were so thin from them sanding it down), but he ended up ripping HALF of my nail. I let out a painful cry but he just looked at me as if I was being a little over dramatic. Needless to say, I will not be returning there again. Not only did I have to pay $10 for something i could've done, but he did a terrible job. This experience was my second bad experience there. I will now have to find a new place where they will take care if me. read more

This place is a hit or miss depending on who does your nails. I went in for a full set one time and the lady I had did a horrendous job. My acrylic was thick, she didn't clean under my nails, my polish was clumpy, and my nails were uneven. It was a horrible job and the manager, Kathy, fixed them for me. Kathy did a great job and fixed the problem. The next time I went I got them done by Phillip who did such a fantastic job! He took his time and they came out looking great!! He is funny and loves to talk! The lady he sits next to is Veronica and her client at the times nails looked gorgeous so I highly recommend her as well. Now this is the only place I go to for my nails! Kathy, Veronica, and Phillip are truly the best!! read more

He did an ok job but when it came to chroming the nails he didnt let it dry and had to file it off then he went and got black polish when i asked for white! When I told him this wasnt chrome he said this is what you asked for, no it wasnt! I asked for chrome. No apologe nothing from no one not even the manager. SMH. I will never go back again.
