I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Party Nails in Waukegan. This was my fifth visit,…read moreand I had always gone there for a simple pedicure. During my most recent visit, the manager talked me into getting a manicure as well. I believed I was receiving a basic manicure and pedicure, so I was shocked when my bill came to $105 before tip. My previous visits had been around $65. I later realized that gel polish had been applied. I never specifically requested gel polish and generally avoid it because it has damaged my nails in the past. About three weeks later, I returned to have the gel removed and get a pedicure with regular polish. At that point, the owner told me they "never use regular nail polish." I found that very difficult to believe, especially since I had never requested gel polish and was never clearly informed that it was being used. As a disabled customer living on a fixed income, I need to know exactly what services I am receiving and what they will cost. Instead, I felt like services were added without being properly explained, resulting in a much higher bill than expected. When I tried to address my concerns, I felt dismissed rather than helped. What upset me most was the lack of transparency and communication. Customers should be clearly told when they are receiving upgraded services that cost significantly more. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere and cannot recommend Party Nails to others.

I don't usually do my hands (I'm an electrician--hands stay busy!) so yes I still go to the salon…read morebut it's for the pedicures! I've been loving the trend of acrylic toenails lately. I think they make your feet look super cute, and it's not something every salon does well--or even offers. That's how I ended up finding Party Nails and Spa. I came in less than an hour before closing after a really rough week at work. I just needed a minute to breathe and do something for myself. Not only did they take me in with zero hesitation, but they kept working on me past closing time. That alone says so much about their customer service. The pedicure came out so good--super clean work, I did only put acrylic on my big toes, and just an overall pampered finish. The vibe was relaxed, never rushed, and honestly, it helped turn my whole day around. Sharing some pics so you can see the quality for yourself! If you're thinking about trying acrylic toes, or just need a place that treats you like more than just another appointment.

I was recommended this place and also kept seeing them on my Instagram explore page, so I decided…read moreto give them a chance since I've been looking for a new nail spot. I went in just for an acrylic removal and asked for a nail trim/manicure. I assumed that meant my nails would be cut, buffed, shaped, and that my cuticles would be taken care of. I wasn't looking to get polish since I had a broken nail and just wanted my natural nails cleaned up. The person who worked on my nails had great customer service, which I really appreciated. However, I was disappointed with the actual service. Not all of my nails were clipped, they weren't shaped, and my cuticles weren't done. I did ask for my nails to be cut all the way down, and while I understand limitations with my broken nail, the rest didn't turn out how I expected. I didn't say anything at the moment because I wanted to give it a chance, but I ended up leaving unhappy. I've heard a lot of good things about this place, which is why this experience was surprising. I even had to go to another salon right after to get my nails fixed. I would like to give this place another chance in the future, but as of right now, I don't think I will.

A young lady Jaichana (I think I spelled it correctly) gave me one of the best pedicures I've had. She was really sweet and did an amazing job. I will definitely be back and will tell all my friends about this salon.

This location is much smaller (the nail stations are much cozier) and there were a lot of clients on a Friday afternoon (all nail stations were full). The technician did a nice job on my Dazzle Dry manicure and my nails look great. This location is very convenient for me too.

While we were waiting, another client joked that we should get ready for the "world's fastest pedicure." We thought she was kidding. She wasn't. My mom was finished in about 15-20 minutes, and mine wasn't much longer. I received a very light and quick "massage" (and that's being generous), while my mom didn't receive one at all--even though we both paid for the exact same service. The entire experience felt incredibly rushed. My heels only received the standard paraffin wax treatment and were never properly scrubbed or worked on, and we both left with rough, callused heels. To make matters worse, we were finished before customers who had been seated ahead of us. For $38 per person, this felt much more like an express pedicure than the standard service we paid for. We left disappointed and won't be returning.
