Brought my mom's older golden retriever in to be groomed by Kristina. Everyone was so sweet and accommodating to us and our dog. Our dog can be a bit difficult and Kristina was so patient and sweet with her. Our dog Karma loved Kristina so I could tell she must have gotten lots of love and pets while there. She did an amazing job! kalooked so cute and was strutting around the house for days after getting groomed so she definitely felt cute too! Will definitely be going back! Keep up the great work! read more

I've taken my dog here for her grooming services since the first time she was in need of being groomed first visit she got a trim because she was a puppy second time she got a full cut took a long time but was happy with the way she was groomed third visit they suggested another trim because she had a rough time the visit prior so today my pet was suppose to get a full cut it was horrible I work from 5:30pm-2am I woke up early to take her into her appointment because my dog really needed to get groomed today was not as I expected I was NOT happy with the way she was groomed they literally just shaved her body and didn't touch her face because she was not letting them that is a poor excuse they are professionals and they should know how to deal with this kid of issues just how they did the first time she got a full cut we are very upset had higher expectations from this business I've trusted them since day one with my dogs grooming services and unfortunately i will not be returning read more

Kristina has been grooming my beautiful Standard Poodle Gigi for 9 years. We found Kristina at PetCo in Morgan Hill and fell in love with her. We followed her to Cali Pet Goodz and are so happy with this shop. We get our favorite groomer Kristina, plus it is super organized and the communication is excellent. At this point, I would not trust my older girl with anyone else but Kristina! read more

Well I posted an earlier review that was harsh and a bit insensitive, and I don't want to be like that .. I guess really it's too late for that .. but I'm goning to try anyways , before my relative had some trouble I was perfectly happy bringing my grandson there .. he had his first haircut there !! I was nervous that day because he can be a handful but when I picked him up , he didn't want to leave !! He had been having so much fun ! Besides the fact he looked MARVELOUS!! He is part ALASKAN MALAMUT / I think ? Anyways he had so much fur !! And he was so hot you can imagine I believe it took two of them but he looked great !! And I was happy and Cali goods is the place where I purchase most of my dogs foods snacks they have great prices it convenient and I always appreciate that someone always helps me out with my heacmvy dog food bags because of my hurting back .. so Cali pet goods I'm sorry my friend had a bad experience but I thought you were good with me and whoops ! Sorry about that I woke up in the wrong side of the bed today hopefully The manger will forgive me someday ?? But she doesn't seem like the type to hold onto things for too long she's pretty cool!!! read more

Took my dirty ranch dawg in for his first professional grooming. He's an oversize bossy Aussie. They were great in communicating that they might not be able to do a complete trim being that it was his first time. My dawg was indeed anxious about the clippers so they did cut the session short. But I truly appreciated that they choose that route rather than fighting with him and charging extra, so neither of us were unduly stressed! I am definitely going to keep him on a professional grooming schedule with Cali Pet Goodz because I fail miserably at keeping up with grooming apparently. read more

I love this pet store! The ladies there are so nice and very helpful! I get my old beagle's nails trimmed there and I don't even have to make an appointment! read more

Had our Golden Retriever groomed here today by Christina. Couldn't be happier. Hair length exactly as I requested. She actually cleaned her ears, trimmed her nails as they claimed when I booked the appointment. Been several places and they never do what they claim. Our dog was happy and energetic when I picked her up so they obviously treated her well. And they were done earlier than they originally predicted. Great experience. Will definitely go back here. Thank you very much Christina and the whole staff. read more

All I have to say is Cali pet Goodz is amazingly the best! I have a 1yr old super energetic Labradoodle. I has previously gone to three different groomers and was immediatley turned away. However, a friend recommended Cali pet goodz. I was so nervous and embarrased from past experience, but Kristina made us feel welcoming, comfortable and just kept a positive vibe the whole time. She is AWESOME and very patient. She kept updating his progress through the whole visit. Louie and myself were so happy. She did a great job and our experience was the best. I will definitely be taking Louie back! Thank you Kristina ! read more

Zero stars isn't an option. love to say this local little spot is a great place, but unless you enjoy letting your dog sit in a box half the day, I suggest you look elsewhere. Dropped off our two small dogs at 9:30 this morning. One other dog there and the staff enjoying their breakfast. No big deal. Called after no updates for FOUR hours and was told they got busy and it would be about 45 more minutes. 45 minutes later still no word so my husband went to get them anyway. I'm sorry, does it take 5 hours to do three dogs or do you just have some weird order of doing things? Get there to pick up the dogs. No apologies or anything offered. AND YOU RAISE YOUR PRICES??? SO not worth the experience or the price tag! We will never be back. read more

Cali Pet Goodz in Gilroy has such a great selection of pet products for my dog and cats. They have everything my pets need from good quality food and treats, toys and collars for my dog to good food, litter and treats for my cats. The store is always clean and organized and the staff is always friendly. Thank you to Donna for helping find everything I need and making good suggestions. I don't groom my dog, but have seen many dogs being groomed. They always look well cared for. read more

We took our dog in for the second time. They did a good job the first time as Kristina was the groomer. The next time we took the dog in they called saying the he needed to be shaved under his mouth as it was difficult and the fur was knotted. It was approved for them to go ahead . When the dog was picked up he wasn't even recognizable. Our cute little labradoodle turned into a poodle. They were not authorized to completely shave around his nose and up to his eyebrows. I will not bring him back again as this was completely unacceptable and the lines of communication were not good. They should of explained exactly what was going to be done and it would of been denied. The prices they charge are very high in comparison to our previous groomer who always does a great job. read more

I took my dog in and I told them I wanted a little trims on her hair. I got her and she came back completely shaved. If I could rate this place a -10 I would. They cut her fluffy tail and her long lashes. Never going there again. These people are not professional and SHOULD NOT BE CUTTING HAIR. THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. My dog is a very high energy and happy puppy when she came out she looked so sad. My older dog didn't even recognize her when she got home. Please don't bring your dogs here. I never leave a review on places even if I don't like them but I am so outraged and so sad they left my poor baby looking this ugly. I also showed them a picture of what I wanted them to do and they didn't even follow the example that I give them. What makes it worse is that I paid 80 dollars for her to get botch. I could of done a better job and I've never even cut hair. WORST PLACE EVER. read more

love this place!!! 10/10, ask for kristina! she takes such great care of my pups. all of the staff is so welcoming and friendly as well. this place as all your pet needs! read more

This place has such a positive vibe! Reception is always so kind and helpful, and I like that I can pick up a few quality supplies when I'm there to get my dog groomed. We followed our groomer Kristina here from an other grooming spot in Morgan Hill. We live in Morgan Hill, but I was MORE than willing to drive down monthly so our dog could see Kristina. She is MAGIC with doodles! Our labradoodle gets mats pretty easily, but Kristina is so patient and persistent working them out. I always trust her judgment, and I've never once been even the tiniest bit unsatisfied with his cut! (He also comes home as fluffy as a cloud and smelling like HEAVEN!) Kristina herself is incredibly warm with animals and humans alike, which made me feel comfortable leaving my pup with her since we was about two months old! (I don't think he's ever NOT peed at her feet with his excitement at seeing her - ha!) Can't say enough good things about Kristina and the light she spreads in the world! read more

I took my senior dog there for full grooming. I paid extra to have him done quickly. He was first in and first out. In less than 2 hours Christina had done a beautiful job. I got there a few minutes early and I was able to watch her work on my dog. She couldn't see me but I was watching. She handled my 14 year old mix terrier with such kindness and gentleness. She is a true asset to this place. I totally trust her with my old pup!!! read more

Our dog Ralph does Cali Petz! They do a great job at bathing him and cutting his nails! Super friendly staff and great location close location to our home! read more

Quick nail trim and grind for my Pug! $15 and tip for a job well done. Staff is friendly and efficient. Will come for sure in the future!

If you're looking for a great place to get your dog groomed I highly recommend Cali Pet Goodz and especially the groomer, Kristina. I've gone to several places and tried multiple groomers, but none like Kristina. Sometimes traveling a few extra miles and spending a few extra dollars on the groom are so worth it when you know your dog is in good hands. read more

I absolutely love this place !! Amazing staff ! My ultimate favorite though, Kristina !! My little dog puff and I have been following Kristina for 8 years now ! Puff is an 8 year old little bichonè poodle mix who needs constant grooming. Kristina is the sweetest, most genuine and gentle person ever with my puff !! I would recommend her 10/10 !! read more

I have taken my pets there and have been satisfied, the manager Donna is super cool.. I've brought many people in .. but the more and more I became not happy with the way my animals were being serviced .. Charging me 90.00 for a small dog that was barely clipped .. the end was the cut one of my relatives dogs so bad that stil 8 months we are still having issues when I told Donna she didnt even offer a refund !! Which I thought was pretty TACKY !! So I have many many peeps that ask me where to go or have ask me about this place and I tell them the truth the thing that gets me is that they rank number one wow very surprising because the groomers in there half of them don't know what they're doing I must've caught a few of them on good days when I did bring in some of my animals which I shouldn't say some because I've only brought in my dog twice but it's really sad anyways our dogs are our family and they mean everything to us and I want to feel safe and trust the people that are handling them and I don't trust the people down there at all The previous owner I thought she was kind of strange but she was an excellent groomer and she talk to the animals which I thought was weird but now I look at it and I think wow she really did have a connection with our animals read more

2 thumbs up. Took my 2 maltipoo's in for a bath and trim. Scheduling was easy. I received a text confirmation which was nice. Haley did an awesome job and trimmed just enough. I also received a text and automated call when they were ready for pick up. Made it really quick and easy. Prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be bringing my girls back for more spa days. Thank you Cali Pet!!! read more

I've been taking my Morkie here since they first opened. A few months in, I took my dog in for the 3rd time. When I picked her up and went to pay I was told they raised their prices. I paid but left thinking isn't it customary to notify the customer before performing the service. I was not thrilled but continued to take my dog as I like the groom she gets. This week I made her appointment and was charged a $20 deposit and a $2.00 service fee. I pick her up and I'm not only charged for the groom which has gone up once again, but was charged a $3.00 service fee after I had paid the first $2.00 booking service fee. I asked about both fees and was told yes that's how they do it but if I call, I can avoid the fee. Once again they took my money and then notify after the fact. I also mentioned that their prices continue to go up since they first opened and was told yes they have been doing that too. I will no longer be taking my dog there due to their lack of professionalism and greed. read more

Anastasia did an awesome job with my pups. I can always trust that she'll always do a great job and take good care of them :)

I have taken my multipoo to this groomer several times. The location is great for me and the staff are very kind. Good supplies and clean. So why the bad review? My dog never comes out looking the way I have asked. I wanted a wash, trim nails and sani (clean and clip the private bits). When I shared my frustration with the results again, the staff started to work with me patiently. The owner stepped in and took over the situation. Never seen him before he just started talking in the middle of our conversation. Telling me I had a matted dog, who cried the whole time she was being brushed. Why would you try to upset a paying customer by telling her about the dog crying the whole time? And I was just going to have to deal with the reality. I said I was going to share my experience and he said he didn't care. He then charged me extra for the brush out that I didn't want. I did not argue about the cost, i tipped the groomer and will never go back. read more

I booked this place based on reviews not realizing it was in Gilroy (I live in San Jose). I thought about cancelling, but I have a 6 month old VERY energetic, anxious, long haired sheepadoodle who had already been turned away by one groomer. So I decided to go for it anyways bc the reviews were so solid. They were rockstars! Yes, she was wild, but she looks amazing. I walked in when I came to pick her up and I could see her just chilling on the floor back in the grooming area, and she totally looked relaxed and happy. My husband and I decided that it is totally worth the drive to get her there. Loved it! Would recommend it to anyone. They kept her long like I wanted, trimmed up her feet, got the mats out, she smells good, and it was just awesome read more

I just wanted to reach out and let folks know how amazing the staff is at the new Cali Pet Goodz by the Dollar Store on 1st. I took my two German Shepherds there for grooming and what a great experience. I had a fearful pup who wasn't fond of strangers and the owner took the time to enter him in and calm him down. After such they explained they were able to get the muzzle off and bath and brush him. Hats off to these folks for the carefulness and service. Highly recommended and I will be bringing my dogs back. Be sure to stop by and get your name on the list! Great prices and great customer service. read more

They did so well with my 2 fur babies!! My husky came out looking like a whole new dog. It was my weenie's first time coming to a groomer and they were so sweet and patient with him! Kristina had nothing but kind things to say about my weenie and they did exactly what I asked for with both dogs! Rebecca did a great job getting all of my husky's extra hair out and making him extra fluffy! All in all it was a great visit, with great service and great prices, we will definitely be back! read more

I didn't have a good experience with this shop. I spent a while looking for a good place to bring my cats, we're having a hard time getting rid of fleas. This looked promising and when I was on the site I had a hard time finding pricing for grooming so I called in, the women I talked to said the price was $40 + $5 for a flea bath and I had to wait because only one person does the flea bath, so I waited a couple weeks. Seemed like a good price for this service, and when I picked them up the price changed to $85+ $5 for a flea bath. DOUBLE the price I was expecting. And both cats still have fleas, honestly it looked like they sprayed them with a smell and put a bandana on them while I was gone. It feels like such a waste of money and I don't plan on returning ever again. If the website was designed better to include pricing I wouldn't have had an issue. read more

Excellent service. Very friendly and helpful. They even carried out my stuff to my car.

Crystal and Anastasia did great work on Riley and Ruby. Both dogs got exactly what I asked for. The shop is clean and friendly and the dogs were finished in 2.5 hours! Thanks ladies! read more

1st time there was good, great service. however, the last time we went again. it was terrible. basically, they're too busy and too lazy to even trim my dogs face, ears, and the body is not even trim properly. the toe nails are still dirty and I wonder did they even give them shower/shampoo at all. totally disappointed! read more

I am so upset, left my dog here for 4 hours, 9-1pm to give him a bath, nails trim, and ear hairs trim. I let them know he had an appointment a day before at the Vet at 1pm, we get there his not ready "10 min more so they trim hair from ears" the lady at the front says. They let us know 2 min later he was getting excited they couldn't do it, ( mind you he sat there calmly for 4 hours) but for me to let Vet know so they can trim them when they see him... I DIDNT JUST PAY YOU FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO DO YOUR JOB!!! I check his nails they look a bit trim not filed nothing, I go back and ask if they did, she asked his groomer and says " yes I did" they don't look cut and filed? the lady at the front ask, bring him in and will trim and file" she goes on to say. Now I have a stank face and say, we are already late I can't bring him now and walked out.I don't like to make a scene, so all I can do is write my experience instead of giving this place a piece of my mind. Never again will I go back to this place. read more
