Just moved here and couldn't find a big chain store (for curbside pickup option) locally that sells our dogs' brand of food. So I called Cali Pets trying my last shot, and low and behold! I explained the situation where I have my very young kids and would prefer the children don't enter a store during the pandemic because they touch everything, so am looking for a certain brand that could be picked up outside. Took In my miniature goldendoodle initially I was quoted over the phone 70-80 dollars instead was charged 95. When I asked for clarification the cashier revised the price range list and I clearly saw the price ranges they had for miniature doodles which was 70-80. Even the front desk lady was questioning the price and called her manager. The manager answer was that prices had increased despite them quoting me a lower price when I had called. For the 5 hour wait of getting your dog groomed and the price is not worth it. In my opinion a fair price for a 12 pound dog would be between 70/80. read more

I seen a ton of good reviews and wanted to try this place because of what I read. I arrived a few minutes early and seen all the staff cleaning and disinfecting. When I came in I introduced myself and my doggie, showed my paper work because I was told to bring it in and expressed my concerns on the few negative reviews so I was just straight up and got the answers had concerns about. I was open to any groomer and I was given Haley! She did an amazing job. I showed her a reference picture of the cut I liked, I even went back in twice because I was having doubts about the cut I chose, the gal at the front and Haley were both patient as I was dropping of my partners dog so I wanted to make sure I made the right choice. We went with the Lamb cut. I was told about 4 hours and got a call back a little over 2 hours that our girl was ready for pick up. I asked if there were any issues and Haley was honest about having to muzzle her because she wasn't happy about being brushed. I wasn't upset, I appreciate her taking lead and protecting her self and my doggie. The groomer tables were visible from the register. The staff is friendly. I was greeted by more then jus Haley. Needless to say, myself and my partner are extremely happy and will be returning. My best advice is to be forth coming with any concerns and if your choosing a new spot try to make it a positive experience from the beginning. This was my first time dropping off Trinity and It felt like the first day I met with my kids pediatrician. I was nervous but I came prepared & asked questions. read more

My dog, Charlie, hasn't been groomed since the start of SIP in March. We usually go to a different groomer in Morgan Hill, but after going to Cali Pet....we'll be coming here from now on! I requested for an appointment via yelp, and correspondence was fairly quick...as in less than 10min quick! I was able to schedule an appointment for Charlie the following day! I was so relieved! Charlie started to get a bit matted and needed his nails grinded. I requested for all of the above (bath, cut, nail grind, teeth cleaned, etc.) for Charlie, and I wasn't disappointed. Front desk staff was kind and very accommodating, and Hailey did an amazing job with his grooming. Usually when I pick up Charlie from grooming, he's usually in a crate, stressed out and anxious. When I came to pick up Charlie from Cali Pet, he was leashed and waiting patiently, in visible sight, and NOT in a crate. He was so calm after the fact...I was shocked! Not to mention, he looked so fresh and so clean! I will for surely make future appointments with Cali Pet! read more

Horrible place. I called on November 20th and scheduled a lion cut for my cat. I was told that they only do lion cuts first thing in the morning, so I scheduled it for Saturday 11/26/22 at 9:30am. They said that I could bring proof of rabies in on the day of. I also asked about if they give anything to help with anxiety, they said they don't provide medication, but will administer if the vet/pet parent provides. I got a prescription from my vet for my cat and was so excited for this appointment. I got there and Christy or Kristin told me I wasn't on the schedule and they don't even do cats on the weekend and they don't even have me in their system. Perhaps this should be communicated to whoever is doing the scheduling. What a waste of a morning. I will not be returning here. read more

Sadly we continued going here because we liked the outcome of his grooms, even though they raised the prices without warning and ate pretty rude. Obviously because of the price change we have to bring our dog less often now, so he definitely gets matted in between visits. Today when my husband took him in to be groomed, our dog was so TERRIFIED of this place and whatever they do to him that he immediately emptied his bowels, bladder, and anal glands upon simply going into this establishment. My husband then said the owner was having a fit because we had been being undercharged (UNDERCHARGED!!!!!) and she said our dog would be $150 to groom. She apparently berated staff for "not catching the billing error" which is so strange to me because she interacted with me after the first rate increase so she probably should have caught the error herself. She was apparently saying we were being charged puppy price but he never went there as a puppy so I don't know why he would ever be charged as one and his profile literally says mini Australian labradoodle, not puppy. He's 20 pounds!!!!! Wtf? My husband said "whatever, I'll pay it, just make sure everything gets done, he needs grooming" and as he was leaving, the owner apparently either called out to him or came outside and told him they can't groom him because he's matted and told my husband to take him home and bathe and brush him and then bring him back. Excuse me? What on gods green earth do you think we are paying you for? Especially since you upped the rate ANOTHER $45 unexpectedly. So now we have to bathe and brush him and bring him back and pay DOUBLE what we originally paid, terrorize our dog, and get served a dose of attitude every freaking time we come in? This is the second time I took my pup here. It was $80 for the grooming package and I added along teeth cleaning. They told me that the groomer couldn't really groom/ cut my pups nails or do any teeth cleaning due to my dog moving around too much. The first time he was left with a choppy cut & his nails look like they were barley cut, so I had to take him back in for them to redo and after that it was fine. But this second time I took him in they barley did anything, he didn't even smell good or like they washed him at all, & for some odd reason whenever he comes back from his grooming appts here he sheds like crazy. It was bizarre how they still had me pay the $80 especially since they didn't really do any grooming whatsoever. I do-not recommend this place & would advise anyone considering this place to go elsewhere. read more

Very disappointed. I have been taking my older dog to Kristina for years. All has been great. Started bringing a new puppy to her and my experience changed. The younger pup was not cooperative, and I don't feel Kristina handled well at all. I was told our puppy got worse every time he came in, to the point of significant biting. (I comb him consistently at home and never have an issue.) She told me that in order to finish his grooming, she and another groomer restrained him, scolded him, and clearly expressed frustration in order to finish the grooming. She had already called and said they couldn't finish and I gave my ok for just a bath. He was so traumatized that the next day when I reached down to pet him, he dropped his head and cowered. Was also told our older pup has gotten more difficult to groom. She blamed the puppy and that he is learning bad behavior from him. These are our babies and should never be treated in this manner. Use caution when bringing your baby here. read more

I took my pup here for the first time on Monday. I felt confident walking in, until they started breaking down the prices of everything despite the quote they gave me over the phone weeks before. They did not give me a time estimate when I dropped her off and when I asked, "they would let me know when she's done." 6 hours later, I finally get a text that she's done and when I showed up, her paws were practically bleeding from being shaved so far down. They did explain to me that she had foxtails, but I don't believe that they needed to be shaved to that extent of her bleeding. This is day two and it still looks this bad, if not worse. Needless to say, I would not recommend this place to anyone else given the job that they did, the time it took (2x the amount of her regular groomer out of town), and the price (also 2x of her actual groomer out of town). She has been extremely irritating them ever since. Please do yourself a favor and don't take your pet(s) here! read more

Cali Pet Goodz is an AWESOME business for your pet needs! I own a a little old three legged papillon and she is always a nervous wreck when it comes to going to pet stores or any pet grooming salon. I found their business on Instagram and was amazed on how well they promote their business for both retail and grooming. My dog does not like going to the groomers at all, so I called the store and they reassured that my dog would be safe and taken care of. I live all the way in Fremont, so that is an hour long drive to go get my dog groomed, was it worth it? YES! ABSOLUTELY! I had scheduled an appointment about a few weeks prior and was really debating if I should cancel or not because of the distance, but I am glad I did not. I walked in the store and the people were very nice and welcoming, not only to me, but to my dog as well. I was a little nervous how they were going to handle her since as I mentioned before she only has three legs, I was scared that she would freak out and get cut or something. I stayed around the area until my dog was ready to be picked up and she looked AMAZING! She was so clean and the trim was perfect! That was only the groomers, they also have a whole store front filled with treats, toys, toiletries, etc for any pet from a dog to a lizard. So when I picked up my dog, I obviously went to purchase some food for her and one of the concerns I had about my dog was that she was always constantly scratching herself. I explained the concern to the staff in the store and they help recommended me some products they had to help soothe the itchiness and it worked her, now she is not scratching all over the place! I can honestly say the Cali Pet Goodz is a great business for not only your pet grooming needs, but they have amazing resources/products for all types of pets! read more
