When I walked into Caliber Collision I was greeted with open arms and was helped by April, Savannah, and Santiago. I needed my paint protection film removed on the hood of my car because it was old and gross and after about an hour it looked brand new. After Terry inspected my vehicle he asked if he could email me the estimate to which I agreed despite preferring to have something in hand before leaving. Result was no estimate, no email, no phone call, and no follow up of any kind. Piss poor business practice. read more

First let me say, I only really ever write reviews if something is stellar and needs recognition. I, sadly, have just come to expect mediocre service, experience from most things these days so when I have a really fantastic experience, I feel the need to recognize that. Last week, I had someone run into the back of my car and was set up by the other insurance company, State Farm, to go into Caliber by my home in Denver NC and have an estimate/repair done. My appointment was scheduled for 3 pm and because of heavy traffic, I walked through the door at 3:02. I know because I had my phone in my hand, expecting a call. April- the administrative person in the front office- was on a phone call when I walked in so I stood there and waited for her to be finished. She hung up and was writing something so I patiently waited. She never looked up and proceeded to take another phone call and then a man came in behind me who she addressed by name and was a two driver. She spoke to him and then proceeded to take another phone call. NOT ONCE did she look at me (I was standing right in front of her at the counter about two feet away) Say hello, Say Someone will be with you in a minute, ask me why I was there, or acknowledge me in any way. A younger guy, maybe a tech, walked through the office and I looked at him and said, I am here to see Savannah. He said he'd let her know and went to find her. I heard him tell her her 3 o'clock was here and I heard her tell him she was finishing something up and would be out in a second. Still not acknowledgement from April. My phone rang (the call I was expecting) and I stepped aside and took it. 35 second call. I hung up and the gentleman from Enterprise, the offices are connected by a glass door which I had stepped over to to take my call, popped out and asked me if I was picking up a car, I told him I was and he knew who I was and said the car was ready to go. I stepped into their area and told him I thought it was rude that I had stood in the lobby with no acknowledgement from the lady in the front even after she took phone calls and spoke to a person behind me who came in after me. Mr. Enterprise must have said something because when I was doing rental paperwork, she was literally yelling and I could hear her through the door "Well, first of all, she was 5 minutes late!" and then she said something unintelligible then " I don't care, she can take her ** car somewhere else, I don't need her business...." I finished my rental agreement and went back through that door and I was HOT. I said "Well first of all, I was NOT 5 minutes late and second of all I heard EVERYthing you just said. I think it is rude and incredibly unprofessional of you and I do not deserve to be treated this way. " she walked away and some other guy came out and said what's the problem, can I help you? I said, well I don't know, who are you? he said I work here and so I reiterated the issue and that I didn't think she was a professional and that she was very rude and inserted my opinion that maybe she shouldn't be the face of the company people interact with when they come in. She had also been gruff and short with me on the phone the day before when I called with some questions and pushed me off on the insurance liaison, which was fine. The man then told me that since there was conflict they wouldn't service my vehicle there and they were going to tow it over to their other shop in cornelius. I told him I did not want to drive over there and that I was not going to pay for the transfer then he said they would pay for to have it towed and then transferred back. Then he walked out. Savannah, the State Farm rep for Caliber was standing behind the desk at this point and said that since the car was going to be transferred she wouldn't be dealing with me anymore but she would do the intake. She was great and very apologetic, did the initial intake paperwork. She also told me they would have it 4-6 weeks because the process takes that long when the insurance company is involved. I have never been in this situation with having to repair my vehicle so I don't know if this is on point or not, but it is what it is. I am now waiting because I called the claim person at State Farm this morning and told him I DO NOT want anything to do with the shop in Denver and I certainly don't want anyone there working on my car. If they "don't need my business" they shan't have it and I hope they don't get yours either. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone in a service industry. Clearly they don't care about their customers which tells me they also don't care if they do a good job on repairs. Too bad I didn't get to find out. read more

kayla is amazing! We can't thank her enough, without asking for help she saw how upset we were when we pulled up to the door needing help. Kayla immediately took care of the situation and it wasn't an easy one, but she took complete control and her working ability is beyond excellent, exceptional. I truly can't begin to tell this company what a special person Kayla is and how she brought a smile back to our faces after her immediate action taken. Again, she know exactly what to do and how to do it, period. She is a beautiful person inside and out, how blessed we are to have met her and Thank God for sending Kayla to the rescue. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CALIBER COLLISION The facts/time-line.. * On August 7th 2023 a severe storm caused major damage to a large tree in my yard which fell on my 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 truck. Caused dents and scratches on entire right side. Full disclosure..Clear coat was already peeling on entire truck. * State Farm Insurance referred me to Caliber Collision which gave me a drop off date of September 11th 2023 at 4:30. * Note: Adam and I drove this truck to the Outer Banks NC (from Denver NC) from September 5th to 9th. So this was a dependable vehicle. * On the drop off day service rep Danielle Dillon checked in my truck. She told me that she could probably get the entire truck painted with insurance. Of course I told her that would be great but if not I would pay the difference. She assured me she would stay in touch. * Note: At time of drop off I pulled into the first parking spot. That's where it is still sitting. So it's hard to miss! * I never received any text, emails or calls from Danielle. When I called her there was always a story..Waiting on parts because of auto workers strike..They should be finished in a week... * I called on Friday, January 26th 2024. Danielle doesn't work there anymore. They don't know where my truck is and don't have any paperwork for it! About 2 hours later Tom Chaney (store manager) called and left a message apologizing..said he would be in touch. They found my truck keys in the bottom of Danielle's desk. She never turned in the truck to State Farm or did any paperwork. I called on Monday 29th and left a message. Tom Chaney didn't call back again until February 23rd after my son called Tom's boss Brandon Hawkins. * I also had to call State Farm because my case had went into some sort of deactivated code. I'm waiting on calls from them. * Now..Caliber Collision does not want to paint the truck! They say they can't warranty the paint! I told them I don't care about the warranty. They want me to move it to another shop..not a Caliber Collision. Tom said he wanted it out of his lot. * This situation has been a HUGH INCONVENIENCE for me! I have horses and I take my own trash/ recycles to the convenience site. Now I'm retired and want to work around my house/barn. I need my truck! If you read this..thank you. PS..Tom Chaney turned my truck into State Farm Insurance on February 1st 2024..5 months after I dropped it off. read more

I needed minor repairs on my car and they lied to me on three separate occasions saying that my car was completed, and every time I went to pick up my car I noticed they didn't complete the original job. At this point I'm 3 weeks behind the THIRD completion date, my rental car has run out, I'm without a vehicle, and Caliber Collision is still giving me the run around. JOKE OF A SHOP! So my experience at Calliber Collision went like this...after waiting a month to take my car there, i get there a few minutes late , they had told me to bring it around 10 am, but i get there and they say i should have been there by ten on the dot, and would not take my keys or do the paperwork. No one said to be there before ten. This place SUCKS. i now have to wait till Sept 18 and am going to ANOTHER location cause the place on 16 ain't worth a dime. My insurance company was not happy, they had made the appointment for me. So they booked another place and logged this location as untrustworthy. We called other locations and they said that was ridiculous to not just take the keys and do the repair. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!! read more

I had scheduled my appointment twice with them since this bodyshop did my estimate. Called to confirm and they said i can bring the car in on the scheduled date but refused the appointment on the date of the appointment. I had to take off from work twice for their incompetence. This was beyond ridiculous since they confirmed it earlier. I even had the confirmation email from the insurance but they did not accept it. read more

I recently had two incidents with my two cars requiring significant body repair work. My insurance company, USAA, listed Caliber Collision as a preferred vendor. I used the Lake Norman location, on NC Highway 16 Business, for the repairs on both cars.The professionalism and quality of work was outstanding! Stacy is the estimator and my contact at the body shop. Her communication with me was excellent, as she gave me updates by text message every 2-3 days. Everything about my experience was wonderful! My car required repair after being rear ended. They gave me an estimate in 15 minutes without an appointment and let me know when they could take it in to fix it. They had it for 1 week but it would have been less time if there hadn't been a 3 day weekend in there. Also the business is professional, clean and organised as are the staff. The best part was when I picked my car up, of course it looked wonderful but they had also cleaned it inside and out. Again I can't say how much this all means. read more

Worst experience possible. Have had to bring car back 4 times and they're not even apologetic about it. First new windshield had a crack in it that they didn't see. New door didn't line up. New panels glued on instead of clipped in like factory. New panels, both driver and passenger side, flew off when we first took the car on the interstate. Don't go here! read more

I bought a beautiful 2013 Mustang GT 5.0 a few months back. The car was in beautiful shape, including blue-gray paint with silver speckled clear coating. Everywhere I drove, I got complements and even an offer from a local Ford dealer to enter the vehicle in a car show. On a recent trip to Florida, a construction truck went out of control and dumped about a ton of concrete shards on my car. Basically, the entire car was affected, including the windshield. A rough count of the damage included over 500 dents and gouges. When I returned to NC, my Allstate agent recommended Caliber Collision on N. Hwy. 16 in Denver, NC as the best place to have the repairs made. They were right! The technicians basically disassembled the body, removed all of the damage and then repainted almost the entire car. I was particularly concerned about the paint job because it was so unique. When I got the call saying the work was completed, I was apprehensive until I saw the car. Not only was the work perfect, the car looked even better than when I bought it, including the custom paint job. During this process I was treated like family and keep apprised of the on-going work by both telephone and text messages. I wish to recognize Caliber Collision for their professionalism and expertise. My beautiful GT 5.0 is now back on the road and getting the complements it so richly deserves because of Caliber Collision. read more

If I could give this place more stars I would. I had major front end damage with a crinkled hood, a tow hitch went through my radiator and both head lights needed to be replaced. They kept me updated every single day on my car. The new center manager Phillip went above and beyond for me to ensure that I was taken care of from the rental I was put into to work that was going to be done to my car. The estimator ken answered all my questions that pertained to what parts was being ordered for my car and what they was needed for. When picking up my car, Brandi the office manager fully explained to me and told me what the terms meant in detail for what all the paper work for the final bill meant before I started signing it instead of just shoving the paper at me and saying sign here like most places do. After all the paper work was signed and everything squared away the detailer Brittany brought my car around to me after doing some final touch ups on my car. When getting into my car I couldn't be more impressed with how clean and spotless it was like it just came off the show room floor. The body work on the car was just as amazing as the detailing. It was beyond perfect and flawless. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone. read more
