I had to come here after my car got hit in a parking lot and needed some detail on the front bumper. The staff here is extremely nice and knowledgeable. You can tell this a family run business, and they even treat you like family. The prices are very reasonable and everything was fixed quickly. The only downside to the business is the rental cars down the street are not very good or reliable. But I would come back again if I needed to due to the excellent customer service here! read more

I scheduled my BMW X3 for roof rail replacement with Jim. I dropped off my vehicle as planned. Both Jim and Paul were very courteous, greeting me and reassuring me as I knew the entire headliner had to be dropped in order to complete this job. No small task. In fact, I scheduled my Uber for my ride back home, and Paul immediately offered to give me a ride. Very nice. They kept me informed all day, and finally, when finished on schedule as they promised, Paul offered to pick me up from home to return to the shop for pickup. 0 stars. I was referred here by another body shop for a second quote. I was told to ask for Harley. He is the owner and unavailable. Valerie was very nice and professional. Unfortunately, some prick behind the counter told me that they don't want to fix my vehicle...without looking at it!! I was willing to pay top dollar for good work, he assumed that I wanted cheap work and told me they wouldn't even look at my vehicle. Being rude and chasing me off as a potential customer is note a sustainable model. Go up the road and see Ronnie at Cornelius Body. He is friendly and doesn't tell potential business to go away. I will spend the rest of my life living here in Cornelius persuading everyone that I know to not give a dime to this place. We are a small community, and we stick together. I had a bad scratch on my new Subaru Outback. I took it to another nearby body shop and they quoted me $850 to fix it. At Lake Norman they took a look at it, asked me to wait and see if they could do anything. They came back 15 min later, scratch gone, looks like new, no charge. Took my truck there after a young girl hit it 90 days after I bought it. I was referred to them from lake norman nissan. After picking truck up nothing in my door was working, called and they said bring it back and we will fix it,which I did and they fixed it.then looking in bed of truck found d parts they where supposed to be in door,the job they did was so bad,doors don't line up things missing. Took back for manager to tell me they fired the drunk that worked on my 58,000 dollar truck that was less than 90 days old. So you choose, maybe you want a drunk to screw up a new vechicle,oh yeah and yes lake norman nissan sent me to them because they sell them there parts,really 2 scary business scamming people read more

Go somewhere else. Avoid this place. I recently brought in my Nissan 370Z for a routine dinged bumper. The estimate was around $800 after adjustments. Which was fine. Once repair was completed the bumper was not aligned correctly and the accompanying accessories were falling off and the rear view camera was mis-aligned as well. I brought the car back and they had a week to correct their work and it wasn't even addressed. They added some unusual parts to align the accessories and it looks like garbage. There was paint rubbed off where the bumpers should have aligned, and if they were aligned correctly I wouldn't have noticed. They took the wrong color paint and touched it up. It also looks like trash. I expected professional work and I got sub par. I definitely felt ripped off. I cannot afford to bring my car back to these people for more arguments. These people have literally made the problem worst and have devalued my beloved car. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

Absolute disaster. They constantly lie about when the car will be ready. They have had our truck for 3 months and have been unable to finish the work. They constantly tell us it will be ready next week and then simply give us a different story when we call the next week. In my recent experience, Lake Norman Paint and Body did a poor job of scheduling my truck repair and communicating any problems with the schedule to me. I dropped the truck off on May 19 with the understanding that they could not start on the truck until the following week and they would have it a month. My insurance rental coverage for a vehicle started on that date as well. I went over to the Lake Norman shop about 3 weeks later to check on the progress. The estimator thought the truck was in tear down in the shop but I found it in the lot untouched. The net result is I got the truck back July 29. I had to spend about $400 out of pocket on car rental beyond my coverage and it was difficult to get them to commit to a final schedule until a few days before completion. The physical work looks good, the process was very unsatisfactory. read more

I selected this shop because of the recommendations I received. I was satisfied with the estimate and made an appt. 3 weeks before bringing in my auto for a broadside repair which included at minimum two driver side doors. I was advised on estimate that they would advise me of any additional repairs when the car was received. Upon pick up, I noticed scratches and dents in the doors, as well as some sloppy paint on the trim edges. There were also other scrapes. I questionned and was advised that they did tell me they were going to secure used doors. Of course, I knew that. However, I was not aware that they were not going to repair the used doors to look 'new.' Although some of the other scrapes were able to be easily removed, the deeper scratches and sloppy paint was not. I was advised that a new estimate of nearly $1300 would be required to fix these scratches. I am more than disappointed. I paid $1000 for these two doors (of which they used my own existing interior), which in my own estimation were just swapped. Very, very disappointed I was not made aware that any pre-existing conditions to used doors were additional responsibility--and never informed of additional work needed. Never heard of such a thing! I am financially unable to have these scratches fixed. My auto did not have any scratches, sloppy paint, etc. prior to the accident and this was just shoddy. Tears, tears, tears. read more
